Pine Trees Hotel

Read the rest of the reviews. Are we all talking about the same place? Pine Trees is clean - yes. George and Mary are great people - yes. Whilst we were there the pool was impeccable. The traffic noise is horrendous (peaceful?) as one might expect on a road leading to a quarry and a cement works. The walk into Ixia can be dangerous. The breakfast at the Pine Trees is minimalistic. No I have not led a sheltered existence.

Hotel and surrounding grounds very clean and tidy. Rooms and bathrooms cleaned on daily basis to good standard. Pool - although never actually saw it being cleaned - was always fine. Breakfast was a joke - having travelled extensively in the Greek Islands this was definitely the most 'basic' breakfast I have ever been presented with. It consisted of a plate with a smalilish bread roll, a pat of margarine, a pat of marmalade or jam and a slice each of ham and cheese. We had a week at the Pine Tree with Libra Holidays, and found it good value for money (at end May/beginning June - tip: this was English half term but flying from Glasgow saved £130pp). The rooms are very basic but perfectly clean; the pool is a very good size for serious swimmers; I would agree with comments that the breakfasts are minmal, but a small English can be bought for 4 euros or a large for 5.60. We have stayed at the Pine Tree Hotel in Ixia for seven nights. Unfortunately it wasn't the best hotel we've ever met. The place is situated in the middle of nowhere, far from beach, restaurants and civilisation, close to very busy streat instead. However there can't be any complaints about room cleanliness, other things about this place aren't so great. My partner and I have been going to Pine Tree's every year since Sept 2001 and have never come back disappointed. In fact we booked Sept 2006 the day we got back in 2005. The rooms are basic but they are clean which is all you really want. George and Mary are two of the nicest people we have met and have always made us feel welcome from day one. This is our second time visiting Ixia but our first stay at the Pine Trees. The hotel is very clean, rooms are cleaned and tidied every day. The pool area is lovely and peaceful with a snack bar available all day. George and Maria are very friendly and make you feel welcome. We have just returned from staying at the Pines. what a great holiday. Off the main Ixia road which meant a quiet peaceful holiday. The owners could not have been more helpful in making our holiday success. The rep. Deborah was helpful, knowledgable about resort and went out to help us when we had a medical emergency. We did not find the walk down to the main resort at all frightening or dangerous. It was a relief to know that we were away from the main Ixia - Rhodes road, which is very busy, day and night. arriving at this hotel in the morning was such a dissapointment.This place was far from beach shops and civilisation.Refused to stay,waited on rep to return from Libra Holidays(Deborah).She was of no help whatsoever,and advised us to get allternative accomodation as she could not help us.The walk from this place to resort is dark,frightening and very dangerous.We are two women in our forties,able bodied,we found this the worst situated hotel we have ever been asked to stay.We re-located ourselves to the Sonemar Hotel.Libra holidays totally... more

My wife and I,my Daughter and her Husband have just reurned from a wonderful ,relaxing holiday with our friends..... We cannot praise this hotel high enough. George, Mary and family provide an excellent escape for couples and families alike( mainly younger children). Their warm, friendly approach made us feel very welcome and the breakfasts, snacks and the weekly BBQ were all excellent. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, the air conditioning being very welcome in the warm evenings. The pool and sunbeds were also of a high standard.
