Hotel Carbonaki

The Carbonaki is in a very convenient location from the Mykonos buzz but still manages to retain a quiet charm once you are within its confines. The rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably priced (96 Euros early Sept). Don't though have high expectations of the pool, as its size makes it more ornamental than practical for swimming. The staff are very friendly and helpful and in our case also understanding when we had to regretfully leave a day early due to availability on the ferry.

We stayed at Hotel Carbonaki from Sept. 1- 6, 2006 for 5 days. It was such a pleasant treat. The staff that included Yannis, Christof, Evie, and Theodoris were helpful and really over extended themselves for their guests. I booked our resevations directly through their website for a better rate. Theodoris also emailed me information regarding ferry transportation, which I found to be very helpful throughout my stay in Greece. Evie was in charge of the breakfast area. My boyfriend and I just returned from a trip to Greece in late August, and we stayed at the Hotel Carbonaki for 3 nights. The management was very friendly....the owner allowed us to check in early and helped carry our bags up many stairs. The location of the hotel is great - very close to everywhere you want to go in the town and only a 5 - 10 min walk to the bus stations to see the rest of the island. What I liked most about this hotel was its location. We could walk everywhere in the town, have lots of fun and then walk back to have a peacefull sleep! It's in a very quiet place yet just next door to everywhere! The staff was really friendly, they spoke good English and took the time to answer to all our questions. The rooms were quite good and very clean and so was the rest of the hotel. We enjoyed ourselves very much and we'll be back next year too!

This hotel is completely overpriced and falsely advertised. The pool is a tenth of the size described on the web site. The rooms are noisy and the shower didn't work properly. The price we paid per night was completely overpriced compared to colleagues staying in the same location at a different hotel. The management is rude and completely disinterested in customer service and satisfaction. I strongly recommend that you do not stay here unless the rates are reduced by at least 50%.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! 66 Euros for a double, nice and clean room, all sights are walking distance. Very quiet, owners are so kind and helpful, you cannot ask for more! We recommend!

Wonderful Location. Right in Mykonos town. Quiet corner of the Village. 5 min. walk to the water. and bus station. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and treated you like old friends. I would most recommend this place to anyone who likes the Greek Island lifestyle. I was a solo traveler, and was upgraded to a bigger room for the price of a single at owners request. I will stay there again. for the price and location, you WILL NOT beat it!!

I stayed at the Carbonaki Hotel for three days in July 2005. I was delighted with the hotel. The rooms had an air conditioner, a TV and ensuite bathroom, and there was a pool in which I could cool down at the end of the day. The staff were very friendly and able to answer all questions. In addition they were very accommodating and held our bags while we spent our final day at the beach and then allowed us to use a shower and clean towels before we got on the ferry. I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Carbonaki (EUR90 for a double). The location was unbeatable-- in the town and within easy walking distance to the bus, Little Venice, the windmills, and the waterfront, but just slightly removed from the center of the action to allow for peace and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, and the proprietors were friendly and helpful. I would definitely highly recommend.

Sweet hotel offered a great location in a quiet area in Mykonos town. Friendly staff offered suggestions for about everything we needed. Small pool offered a great escape when needed.
