A Solid Choice
My partner and I stayed at the Palazzo Paruta for three nights. We arrived very late (2:00 pm) and were grateful that the hotel staff was so friendly and helpful to us in our exhausted state. Overall, the service was probably one of the best aspects of this hotel. The people at the front desk helped us find information on attractions, get our internet connection working, and figure out the best ways to get around the city. The woman who worked in the dining room at breakfast was also very polite and professional. The hotel is... more
Perfect
Location: Perfect, close to everything, surrounded by great restaurants. (try to avoid restaurants in touristy areas such as st marks or rialto bridge). Easy to access via ferry. Service: Perfect, lovely staff. Give great restaurant recommendations. Room: Perfect, cosy and traditionally decorated. Very plush. We were upgraded to a suite, which I would have willing paid full price for. It was magnificent and spacious with a canal view. Incredibly comfortable beds. Breakfast was traditionally Italian which i found a bit limited... more
Excellent service - great value for money
The hotel is very well situated, just 3 minutes away from the Academy bridge. San Marco Square is only 10 min away on foot. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated and the place is quiet. The breakfast is of excellent quality, even though the choice is not very big. The staff at the reception is extremely friendly and helpful. They are always smiling and offer help and information on anything. The hotel also offers a free one-way boat trip to Murano, which has to be booked one day in advance.
We will be back!!
We travelled to Venice with 2 friends and stayed at the PP after a great deal of research as to where to stay in Venice. The quiet location is perfect, so close to the sights, shops etc but quietly away from them as well. We had 2 canal view junior suites, which were huge, at least 1200 square feet each and decorated to a very high standard! Everything was very clean and all in working condition. The reception could not have been more helpful and there was a delightful breakfast room, with delicious croissants! When we return to... more
Perfect hotel for Romantic Venice- wedding
We've stayed at Palazzo Paruta from 8-12th of May, we married on Monday the 10th. In the months before I've contacted the hotel several times to get information for the costume of the groom, the cake, a winetasting etc. etc. Every time we received all the information we asked for and more. It was fantastic and so was our stay. Alessandra and Nicole were super and assisted us every step of the way. The day after our wedding we went to Murano with a boat you could make reservations for through the reception, excellent service! We are still... more
Good location with friendly service
We stayed here for one night and probably had the smallest room (301) in the hotel, which is not surprising since we took the cheapest rate (I was expecting it). The room was very clean and nice but you better not be too tall to stay in it! The only problem was that it was too hot in the room at night to sleep properly. We found out in the morning that the hotel's air conditioning system had not yet been "switched on" because the nights were still cold...we couldn't get the fridge to work either. I think we just got unlucky. We asked to... more
a little paradise in venice
Having previously read the reviews I went to Venice with high expectations for this hotel and it lived up to them all. It is extremely hard to find although only minutes walk from the water ferry stop, and without the help from some passers by we probably would still be looking! The junior suite we booked was amazing, beautiful decor, lavishly decorated, so much space. The breakfast was sumptuous, especially the coffee as I'm such an addict. Really easy to get to all the tourist spots but in a little oasis away from the noise and bustle.... more
This hotel is truly amazing!
This hotel is very beautiful, especially the Junior Suite. Furthermore, the ladies of the reception (Nicole and Alessandra) are very helpful. We have really enjoyed our stay in this amazing hotel which is located nearby all the tourist attractions.
A beautiful quiet royal gem
This hotel has spoilt me for wanting to stay anywhere else in Venice. Quiet yet in a central part of Venice at the corner of a square. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean. I had the single room with a huge bed in it and it was great. Many hundreds of years ago it was owned by a wealthy silk merchant and at the turn of the 20th Century it was the residence of either the Swiss or Swedish ambassadour. I asked to see one of the suites and it is just as you see on the box. The rooms were enormous and exquisitely renovated in Venetian... more
Not bad - Not great.
Not a bad hotel...rooms are very nice and nicely decorated. The bathroom in our room was very short. If you are anything over 5'9 or 5'10, you'd probably risk hitting your head and you'd be very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good--not great. Location was nice, but it was very difficult to find. They tell you what stop to get off, but if it hadn't been for Google Maps on my phone, it would've been very difficult to find where it is. We had a few bugs (little gnats) in the room at night and found a bug killer plugged in... more
