Cozy lovely hotel with incredible view over the lagoon and great staff
from AdamBerlin
Having been to Venice quite a few times I must say Villa Laguna is a great place to stay for everybody seeking a top hotel at a moderate budget. All rooms are suites with two rooms, clean and well furnished, the view is sensational and romantic, but most of all, the staff is very friendly and supportive. We have been traveling with our minor children, 6 and 10, and they both liked the personal touch of the hotel the same way as we did. If you want to relax in Venice, we would always recommend to stay at the Lido. The boats to San Marco need...

Good location if you're happy to stay a little bit out from the main buzz
from Holiday_addict11
We stayed at Villa Laguna back in October. We had visited back in 2006 and I fell in love with the location as it has the best (and only!) view of the setting sun over Venice. Since then, the hotel has undergone renovations to bring it up to a much better and comfortable standard although I did feel that the place had lost a bit of its warm welcoming character in the process. The rooms are very clean, quiet, comfortable and quite spacious for Venice! Our 'suite' consisted of a nice sized bedroom with a (new) very comfortable...

Wonderful Hotel
from arrowsmith51
Cosy, clean suite of rooms, balcony. ideal location. View from breakfast terrace super. friendly helpful staff. good breakfast, variety and quantity, just right. Close to waterbus station, bars and restaurants. A definite 4 star hotel. We will try their restaurant next time. Buy a waterbus pass, so convenient.
Great Hotel, Great Location, Great staff, could you need more?
from SussexAngel43
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights 15th-19th March 2009 and had a wonderful time. The staff were very helpful, pleasant, and eager to please if possible. We would certainly stay here again if visiting Venice, less than 5 minutes walk from the boat terminal and the view from the Breakfast room is a knockout. Our room was very comfortable with a lounge area Sat TV and another TV in the bedroom, a kitchenette was available but we thought theadditional charge for cleaning of 60euro was a bit excessive so we didn't bother....

Great Hotel for affordable price
from ilovecorricella
This hotel was definately a surprise! Big appartements with kitchen facility, very friendly staff, and -for italy!- good breakfast buffet. the restaurant is a little overpriced, but the food was excellent, and the pasta homemade. the rooms are not just big, but also very cosy, all recently renovated and in a plushy, venetian style. heating/aircondition works perfectly and the rooms were very clean. the best thing is the beautiful view, most rooms are overlooking the lagoon, with view to st. marks square. the hotel has no...

Great Hotel, Happy,Helpful Staff
from scots-ali
Just returned from a 6 night stay at this hotel. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent, although it didnt overlook the lagoon we were more than happy with the facilities. We had a separate bedroom, sitting area with a small equipped kitchen. It is an ideal location - out of the buzz of Venice. There are one or two good restaurants on the Lido. The hotel did serve dinner but felt the prices were a bit high so we didnt try it. The breakfast they served was very good and the view over the lagoon was...

Great location - beautiful room
from luv2traveltheglobe
My husband and 2 children stayed at the Villa Laguna for 3 nights while visiting Venice. The hotel has just been renovated and our room was gorgeous! There was a separate bedroom (the bed was a bit firm, but comfortable), a living room with a pull out couch (extrememly comfortable), a small kitchenette and a gorgeous tiled bath. We did not use the kitchen area except to put our water bottles in the freezer. However, if you wanted to save money you could indeed have walked to the Coop grocery (a five minute walk) and cooked a few nights...

a little tired
from solby
Having stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years we were looking forward to a quiet stay and to be able to sit on the hotel terrace, sip wine and gaze across the amazing views towards Venice and also to watch the wonderful sunsets from here and just relax. My wife has Alzheimers disease and this was possibly our last holiday together. But upon arrival this time we found the terrace was closed and even being dug up. It seemed there has been a change of ownership and many renovations were being carried out. This when...

wow - loved it!

Stayed at the Villa Laguna last week on a short break with my husband. The hotel was great and a 30 second walk from the alilaguna boat stop. The room is like a mni apartment. We had room 213 and the view out to Venice was stunning, not to mention the amazing sunsets. Breakfast wasn't great so we didn't bother but found a great restaurant up the road - AL DO MATI - , it was fabulous. 2 course a la carte plus coffe and liqueurs was about £45. Also recommend the bar on the corner, can't remember the name but it began with M , we were always...

What a romantic choice
from Rose206
We were thrilled with this find at such a reasonable price. Our room overlooked the lagoon ( sunset in the window by nightfall and the view of Venice by day). The rooms were decorated in soft colours with old world furniture- very soft and romantic . The room had a seperate lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. I had read the noise from the ferries could be a problem but this wasn't the case until around 8am and even then the shutters blocked most of it and the morning light. Breakfast was included and more substantial than most European...
