absolutely gorgeous stay - memorable & best view
Behind an otherwise ordinary timber door beside a souvnier shop is a remarkable little hotel. Our triple room or rather the Mozart room was simply gorgeous. The decor is just lovely. We had two large windows that opened out onto one of the most beautiful views of the Grand canal/lagoon & to the right was St Marks square. Ask for a room with Lagoon view. The main bed was two singles pushed together typical of Europe, the single being a sofa bed. There was a small remote control T.V. and also a mini bar but no tea and coffee making... more
The greatest find ever
This has to be one of the most friendly and lovely hotels I have ever stayed in. I went with my boyfriend for 4 days and stayed 3 nights from 11th - 13th March. I booked through the hotel website and had a very helpful correspondence with one of the hotel staff because we wanted to stay in the 4 poster bed room. Once we got there the consierge was more than kind and pointed out a local restaurant for us to stem our post-flight hunger, when we returned our room was ready and it was hands down the best room I have ever stayed in on holiday. A... more
Great experience - best views of Venice (Phil & Bernie, Ireland)
We stayed in a Tribute to Music in October and the experience can only be described as magical, wiuth unequaled views of the lagoon and possibly the most memorable sunrise and sunset we have ever seen. Do not be put off by the exterior - the interior reveals very cosy, clean rooms, with a balcony - we stayed in the Vivaldi room (nb: be sure to get a room with a lagoon view). The staff were very efficient and hospitable, and the breakfast was fine. Very well located and we will definitely stay there again, - we have absolutely no... more
A little gem
This was our second visit in twelve months. We were one of the first to visit when the accomodation was opened early in 2005. A gem of a place, overlooking the lagoon, at a fraction of the big hotel prices. Don't look for a flashy sign outside. The front is a single door on to the pavement which during the day is hidden behind the wares of the shops and bars. Best 'bus stop' is Arsenale and then it is only a 100 yard walk. Position is everything and price is not far behind. No facilities other than the bedrooms although the owners... more
loved the view
first visit to venice, got a bit of a shock at the outside of the hotel very run down no proper hotel entrance, dreaded ringing the outside bell but thankfully all was ok. staff very friendly and helpful, spotless clean, lovely view, small bedroom but lovely, breakfast room a bit small and cramped but for the price it was great would recommend hotel. brillant location
Fantastic little hotel
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Tribute to music. Pictures do not do the rooms or location justice! Location is unbeatable partiularly for the cost. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is Clean well modernised and with breakfast on site (not next door as I have seen stated on other reviews). We will definately stay here again when we return.
Saved our vacation
I can't say enough about how wonderful this hotel was. Upon arriving in Venice, one of our passports was lost/stolen. The staff at A Tribute to Music were so helpful. We needed to make an unexpected trip to Milan in oder to get a new passport and ended up missing the first two days of a scheduled cruise. The staff at this hotel helped us make phone calls, locate information, and answered endless questions. Thanks to their help we were able to make it to Milan, get a new passport, and catch the remainder of our cruise. We wouldn't have... more
Definitely Recommend
I can't see how anyone wrote a negative review on this small hotel. It is brand new, very clean, and the staff was nice, not overly helpful but very nice. Exactly what you should expect at a small hotel. This was very affordable for being on a main strip with a View of the Lagoon! We had a great view of the Fireworks on the water our first night there, July 15th! One downfall of being so close to the water was the lapping of water on the parked boats at night. We had to close the shutters which was fine b/c it was cool out at night, but... more
Awful, Awful, Awful
Horrible hotel! enough to describe it. Chose another place to stay. Rooms nothing to do with pictures. Carlyta Buenos Aires Argentina
A masterpiece
We stayed in July 2006 the location was perfect with fabulous views of the lagoon. Easy to locate near Arsenale boat stop. The room was well decorated, furnished and clean. With a small fridge and safe. The bathroom was of an excellent standard. There was good air conditioning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in cafe next door which had beautiful views and served coffee and coisants. We have visited Venice for many years and this is certainly a good find, we will return and stay at the Hotel again and agian.
