We had a very near disaster for our holiday in December. We had originally booked with Broadway Travel to go to Sharm on an all inclusive basis from Gatwick on 17 December for a week. We were very excited and could not wait.
About a week beforehand no flight tickets had been received so I called Broadway Travel only to find that they had made a big mistake and had booked us flying from Glasgow. Luckily I managed to find a holiday with another agent going on the same day but it was on a B&B basis but the hotel sounded great. The hotel was Hilton Waterfalls and it was fantastic. The food was excellent, especially breakfast. Accommodation, resort, sea, sand, service, excellent.
The only fault I could find was in Naama Bay where the locals are in your face all the time trying to get you to get in taxi's. I would highly recommend this hotel and if you like temperatures of around 23/24 it is ideal. The hotel service is excellent and not in your face. Everyone says that they like to barter - I did not find this. They seemed to get either annoyed or couldn’t care less if you didn’t like the price. I tried several ways - very few liked to enter into bartering.
We did end up spending 3 times what we would have with the original holiday due to food and drink (be careful of the drink prices). Best bar in Naama Bay is the Camel Bar - very good service and great food and cheap and good atmosphere.

Hotel lovely, staff friendly and great with kids, breakfast ok Italian restaurant good, the rest of the food at the hotel was very poor for a five star hotel, the new years eve gala dinner was the worst food I have had in my life.
If you book direct a good tip is to buy a couple of Hilton shares and get 15% discount on food drinks and accommodation.
Also there were a lot of ignorant rude and sometimes drunken Russians staying, but i would still recommend this hotel.

This was a superb holiday catering for a party aged between 5 and 77 years old. The climate was fabulous and the location of the hotel was superb. The only downside was the ease of access to the beach for elderly or disabled holidaymakers. The hotel beach wasn't fantastic for snorkelling but visibility and conditions improved significantly a short swim from the hotel.
The hotel staff were excellent and particularly friendly with the children but there is an expectation of receiving decent tips.
Food was generally good quality and plentiful but got a little repetitive after 2 weeks - breakfast buffet was excellent.
We would definitely return to this resort and this hotel.

The accommodation at this hotel is very good, with large rooms that comfortably sleep two adults and a child. Large bathrooms with marble floors and splash backs, complete with bath and shower.
We had a room near the pool area, which had a lovely sea and pool view. The public areas need a bit of care and attention but overall they are very impressive, especially when you see inside other hotels.
They have several dining options with the best being the Italian and Lebanese. Stick to pizza or pasts if using the Italian, as they try and be too adventurous with the other dishes and just don’t deliver what the English palate is used to! We found that getting room service to deliver wine to the room was cheaper than taking away from the restaurant, and you got a wine bucket/ice.
It is full of Italians and Russians, especially in early September, which means it’s extremely noisy and the children can be very dirty with their pool/toilet habits! Evening entertainment is geared towards the Italian clientele as well. It can be a bit noisy with loud music and Italians near the main pools and beaches, but they have got a lovely chill out pool at the top which is beautiful and quiet.
Overall, it’s a good standard of hotel, which I would use again at a different time of year and for one week only. (Temp was 40 degrees most days!) He only other hotel I would go to is the Ritz or Hyatt, but they are not particularly child friendly.

The Hilton Waterfalls is an excellent hotel in a beautiful setting.
We were fortunate to have a deluxe sea view room, with views over the delightful pools and the Red Sea.
The service was excellent, with an extensive buffet breakfast. The Ocean Dive Club on the premises was brilliant, where all scuba and snorkelling equipment could be hired.
There is a jetty from the beach into the sea, were you can see the fish swimming below even without getting wet!
In the evenings, you are only a short taxi ride away from the lively Naama Bay with its excellent restaurants and bars.
