Resort Mellorosa

We reached in the morning and at first glance the resort appeared good,reception was not good though, asking us to help ourselves with the luggage which we objected to and later a house keeping person was arranged. We got a good swimming pool balcony view from the room.The disappointment was the ceiling paint badly peeled off in living room.the.The fridge was not working ,it was alright as we did not really required it. We had been for a weeks stay at Resort Mello Rosa, Arpora, Bardez, Goa in October. The hotel is beautifully located with great natural surroundings. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel since the restaurant and bar servies were good and to our satisfaction. The swimming pool is absolutely clean and great for swimming. There are also othe facilities like watching movies, pool table, carrom etc. It is difinitely recommended for people who want to get away from the hustle and noise of everday life. We will... more

I want to warn all fellow travelers never to stay at this hotel. I booked two double rooms for three nights with an additional bed needed for the fifth occupant. It took about 15 minutes for the receptionist to complete the formalities and to arrange us a room. When we got a room, we were surprised to find out that the hotel had only arranged a matress for the 5th guest but no bed. They exppected him to sleep on the floor. It took about one hour of arguing after which they gave us a bed. even then they kept mumbling something... more

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The Hotel was mainly full of other indians, I can see why indians dont seem to have a problem with this hotel as for them this is probably considered a luxury. But for us it was a complete night mare. Our first room was infested with bugs (no joke 100's of them) even when we changed rooms they somehow seemed to get into our suitcases. Our second room was too noisy as there was buliding work going on at the time, our third room was slightly better but we still were woken up by the building work going... more

we are members of sterling group of resorts & were given booking on exchange basis. believe me, I have never stayed in a hotel worse than mellorosa in whole of my life. paint peling off the walls, stinking bathrooms ,no towels( WE WERE INFORMED THAT TOWELS HAVE NOT REURNED FROM LAUNDRY ), poor welcome at reception, no kitchen accesories, It would be an endless story. I shall not even dare to see this resort in my dreams. VERY VERY VERY BAD.

This is a typical Indian Hotel. On arrival we were taken aback because we were expecting a euorpean type hotel. The staff were shy at first but were really helpful when they got to know us and we had the aditional delight of monkeys playing on the roof every morning. If you use this hotel and you need anything done, room cleaning, special meals etc tell the staff they will be happy to oblidge.

What a horrible place! I read the review above but thought, well that's just one person's opinion. Pls don't even consider this place. We didn't even stay one night! We rented a driver & found a real 3 star hotel 10 mins away which was on the beach!(La Calypso, Baga Beach, Panjim Goa) Mella Rosa's staff were jerks & our friend's room smelt horrible. Pls dont bother with place! we booked it for 4 weeks and lasted one night until we found something better...i'm not even going to waste my time ...trust me its awful :( dirty, bad location, unhelpful staff...

It was a good experince we had at this place, It is little far away from baga beach, But it is full of greenary, Big swimming pool and good food, They need to upgrade their service. On a whole it was good stay

We booked a triple room and on our arrival were given a double bed in a small room beside an adjoining room which contained a kitchen table and chairs. There was no kitchenette! We asked to see another room and once again there was only one bed. We took the room and asked for another bed to be brought in. The paint was flaking off the walls, the wardrobe was broken, sheets were stained, no kitchenette and the toilet was broken. Once again we moved.
