Hotel was ok. Staff very helpfull. Room very clean with good size bathroom. Situated close to metro station and Norte-Dame cathedral.

The room was very clean and the front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to Notre Dame and many sites in Paris. Shuttle available to the airport.

This hotel is an excellent value for money with a location ideal for visiting everything in Paris and with friendly, always available staff. I booked this hotel based on location, followed by price and availability of a room with 2 twin beds. The reviews I read commented on the smallness of the rooms, bathrooms, beds, and lift, but I figured for a 2-night stay it would be adequate. We were very pleased we chose this hotel as it was reasonably priced, attractive, clean and close to the picturesque areas of the Latin Quarter. It is a 10 minute walk to the Place Saint Michel area where all the restaurants are as well as Notre Dame Cathedral. There is a Metro station just around the corner from the hotel and the neighborhood is very safe. A very pleasant value for money hotel in an attractive location in Paris. The room was of typical French size, i.e. very small, but well equipped and attractive furniture. Good breakfast in Paris style in the cafe nextdoor; alternatively roomservice available. Only negative aspect: streetnoise with open window.

I've stayed here twice and thought it was great both times. The rooms lack character, but they are clean (including the bathrooms), spacious, and very light. The beds are a little narrow, so it depends if this is an issue for you, but it wasn't really for us. We had a balcony both times which was just lovely for watching the goings-on below. The staff were just so nice, very helpful and courteous, with good recommendations. The hotel is in a good location. Apart from this, everything else is below level. The sound isolation is terrible between the rooms. The funniest thing (terrible as well) was that I woke up in the middle of the night by the loudy breathing of a person from the neighbouring room. This would explain the best the sound isolation. Walls are very wierd, a kind of "plaster of Paris" alike walls that you here everything from the meighbouring rooms. What a creepy feeling. We returned from a wonderful short break in Paris, last Tuesday (Wednesday morning). The hotel itself, we found, was great! Staff (Anna particularly) were extremely helpful and polite and easy going everytime we saw them, the night porter, (bless him, he always looked so lonely, everytime we saw him he craved some conversation!), stays up all night for the late-nighters so no worries if you like to have a few drinks! A well located hotel with depending on your room type a very reasonable size room for a cheap/moderately priced hotel. I had a double room on the 5th floor which had a balcony from the room around to the bathroom so you could open either of the doors. There is noise from the street but with the doors shut it isn't too bad. You can hear people in rooms next door if they are loud and people in the corridor leaving in the morning. My family of 4 (myself, husband, 22 and 20 year old daughters stayed at the Royal Cardinal for 3 nights (May 29-June 1). We had a quad-room that looked out onto the main street. We booked this hotel through Venere, and all worked out well. The room is a decent size and we were never uncomfortable there. We payed 133 euros a night, which was pretty reasonable.
