Grand Hotel Leveque

Great little hotel on rue Cler. The rooms were really clean and the bathroom was new and renovated. We visited in August, when most of the shops on rue Cler are closed...which was a shame since it seemed really quiet. Its a quick walk to the Eiffel Tower and really close to the subway (Ecole Militaire). Overall we liked our stay but would recommend visiting during June-July when it must be more lively.

The hotel couldn't have been more perfect. Unlike a previous guest, we were able to find crepes. Our ten year old grandson visited the crepe man in Rue Cler several times and as well we found a lovely restaurant serving crepes. The location was excellent....the street was exactly what we were looking for. The reason for our trip to Paris was to take our Grandson to see the Eiffel Tower, the location was perfect, enabling us to enjoy the tower and surrounding park many times during our four nite stay. What a great little hotel. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable, with a private bath and A/C. Rue Cler is fabulous. There are bakeries, cheese shops, wine shops, fruit stands, and butchers, so my husband and I often bought an assortment of food and walked over to the Eiffel Tower, where we had picnics at the park there. We stayed here June 2004 and loved the Rue Cler neighborhood , vendors, delicious bakeries and food right outside our window. It was fascinating to watch the whole setting up and day of the market as we came and went on our days. The rooms were good size by city standards and bathroom was just redone. They had a/c in the room so very comfortable. Walking distance to eiffel tower and metro.

We stayed at Hotel Leveque last September along with two other couples and all of us agreed that we would stay here again. The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms comfortable and the location on rue Cler was perfect. Thank you Rick Steves for your recommendation.

I just got back for a wonderful vacation with my 79 year-old grandfather. We both enjoyed this budget hotel. It's a great location on Rue Cler and is close to everything else. The rooms are clean, cool, and comfortable - although the yellow walls were a bit much. Eat breakfast on the street though as it's a better experience than the hotel breakfast. There is a great crepe place just a few doors down. Most of the staff was helpful and friendly. I will stay at this hotel again.

I stay at this hotel with my best friend from Europe. We were only 17 and we stayed there for 1 week and had an amazing time. The neighborhood was perfect, very friendly, clean, and convenient. It is nothing fancy, but when you are in Paris, who can stay in their room all day. We had a fabulous time and for the price, I definately plan on staying there again. The location is perfect too!!! Book it!!!

A friend and I stayed 3 nights at the Grand Hotel Leveque and overall had a very good experience. Though the room was small it was very clean (in fact we know it was vacuumed on our second day there because all of our belongings had been moved from floor to bed!) The location is its main attraction - Rue Cler is very cute with a market feel - cheese shop, produce markets, wine shop, very close ATMs and cafes. The Eiffel Tower is only a few short blocks away. Our 1 night in Paris was GREAT and Grand Hotel L'eveque helped make it so. Clean, quiet, very modern bath w hairdryer, English speaking clerk and economy rate, classic market street close to the Eiffel Tower. Great rate.

We had two triple rooms over looking the street. They were everything I was hoping for. The kids could go out on their own and explore the quaint street and really get a feel for a different way of life. The rooms were plenty big enough and clean and attractive. I must admit that when we first arrived and saw the active fish market across the street I had a minor fear that the smell might carry into the rooms.
