Hotel Valadon

We just returned from a six night stay at Hotel Valadon, Paris. It was a wonderful experience from the warm welcome (they graciously tolerated our attempts at French, but responded in perfect English) upon arrival up to our departure. I stayed there for three nights last week at the family (triple) room. The location of the hotel is quite good: its about 5-10 mins walk away from Eiffel Tower, and its also within walking distance from Invalides (though next time around I would prefer staying near Champs Elysees and the yellow metro line). i stayed here with my mum in jan 07 for 4 nights-its in a great location,staff were warm and welcoming,and good conversation. This place is really too good to be true in terms of value for money We will definately stay here again

In a side street conveniently located near the Rue Cler market and a few minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower, the Hotel Valadon is an oasis of calm for the weary visitor to Paris. We stayed in a chilly early February when it was snowing outside and were given a warm welcome. The owners` good taste in colours and furnishings are evident and the bedrooms clean and comfortable if a little cramped. We would definitely recommend the hotel for its charm and convenience and as a perfect pied a terre in Paris.

Stayed for 4 nights basically on the recommendations from this website and we were delighted. This is a family run hotel on a quiet street 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. Firstly, may I compliment the hosts, very friendly and helpful. Victor booked a restaurant for us at very short notice on Valentines night (not too easy in Paris as you can imagine!!) which was wonderful. Stayed four nights based on reviews from Trip Advisor, Single male, found statements in reviews and pictures accurate, booked Direct via web paid a little over 100 Euro per night - Winter Cash Internet Rate, allowed me early check in as flight arrived very early in morning, very fast and nice response in email. This hotel was ok but didn't like how small it was. The room was really small (especially the bathroom) and there's not proper ventilation causing the room to get steamy when you shower. You can feel the moisture in the walls, furniture, etc. They also don't allow eating in the room which I don't like. The only reason I'm rating it as average is because the location was excellent!

We stayed here in January for a long weekend, arriving on a Saturday late afternoon and leaving on a Monday. Right from the beggining, from enquiring and booking the hotel the owners were nothing but friendly, helpful and pleasant without being over bearing - something that all the previous reviewers have mentioned (yes we used TA to review and research out trip as always!) The Hotel Valadon is a small, modern boutique hotel in the Eccole Militaire run by Maria and Viktor Orsenne, who are a delightful, cultured and socially aware French couple who have been in the hospitality industry for years. The Valadon and the Orsennes lived up to all the good things that previous visitors have listed. It was cozy, clean and contemporary and had the warmth of a bed and breakfast. We loved being so close to the Tour Eiffel and Rue Cler. We would definitely stay there again! We very much appreciated being able to buy our dinner (cheeses, bread, fruit and wine) on Rue Cler and bring it back to the hotel to eat in the breakfast room. Othello was an excellent breakfast companion for the small price of a bit of your croissant!
