Home Sweet Home Resort

This is a great little resort with good clean rooms in a very authentic island getaway style. Stay in the Honeymoon suite if you can, but all the rooms have a view! It is a scenic, cliff side hotel with a friendly staff. Nothing like getting up in the morning and walking out your door for a quick dive off the cliffs! Great coffee and very romantic.

My husband and I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and loved it. The view is breathtaking. We had friends over for a dinner that was cooked for us on the premises and it was awesome. I had also stayed there about 5 years before that and really like it. It has a really nice pool, the people that work there are great and Charlie, the owner, is a cool guy.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at HSH, and I've loved it both times. If you're used to high-end all-inclusives, it may not be right for you. But it is clean, quaint, quiet, restful, VERY scenic (right on the cliffs), and the staff (different each visit) has been wonderful both times - very friendly and helpful. I was married at home sweet home and it was beautiful. The hotel is very quaint. It is small but that is how i like it. My whole family filled up the resort and we had all the privacy that we needed. The locals were awsome, we never felt afraid or intimidated.All the staff was helpful and down-home friendly. I will return to Jamaica soon and I will only stay at Home Sweet Home!!!!!

We stayed at Home Sweet Home for 1 week. During the week we witnessed the manager ill treating his employees. Degrading and cursing them while guests were on the property, this was distasteful. Although he tried to appear helpful and courteous when talking to us directly, he sometimes looked stressed out and over his head, something a guest shouldn't see. I can't tell you anything about the resort. The reason I am giving them a 1 star is because I called to reserve two rooms, gave him all my credit card information, then asked how many others were staying there. He told me we were the only two people for the whole weekend. I was travelling with a friend and we wanted to be around others, so when I hung up, we discussed it briefly and I called right back (less than 3 minutes) to cancel the reservation. My husband and I stayed at HSW from 4/12-4/15. It was a quaint place, very relaxing, slow paced. Management allowed you your space and freedom to do whatever you felt like doing. The best room would be room 10 - best view of all (also the suite directly under on the 2nd floor). Also check out room 8 - not bad - not perfect. Water pressure was always good and warm. If you are looking for an all-inclusinve experience, HSH is not for you. If you want to experience the real Jamaica, HSH is an excellent choice. My girlfriend and I chose HSH because we wanted to experience Jamaica on its own terms - not from the confines of an all-inclusive. We don't want or need pampering. HSH is located on the cliffs, and the view is absolutey gorgeous. The rooms are basic and well-warn but clean, adequate, and comfortable. If your looking for a Great value and Nice people...this is the place. Very good value and a quite place to relax. The Jacuzzi and pool are heated...rare in Jamaica. Sitting in the Jacuzzi and watching the sunset is something we all should do once in our lives. The new Manager Pirate is a blast...and will amke you stay worth while...enjoy the real Jamaica

I've vacationed at Home Sweet Home for the last four years. One year I went twice. That's 5 times. One week each time. It's an intimate little 60's modern style collection of two story concrete buildings situated around a garden-like coutyard that includes a small, emaculately clean, kidney shaped swimming pool and problematic hot tub. There are about 13 rooms. The best rooms are #12, the penthouse (Mick Jagger is supposed to have stayed here in the 60's) and Suite #11.
