Dionysos Village Resort

This was our first trip to kefalonia. We chose the hotel from the reviews on this web site as most were positive. When we arrived we were shocked by the access road. This was quite long and steep which may cause difficulties for the less mobile. That said a taxi from the bottom was only 4 Euros, we were told but we found it was good exercise. August 29th 2009 to 8th September 2009 10 days Family of 4 We decided to book a last minute trip away and came across a holiday that looked to good to be true, a family run resort, fantastic looking rooms, clean, modern, spacious and a large looking swimming pool. Went for the first two weeks in September 2009. The resort is at the top of a very steep hill but the views are spectacular and worth it. It could be a problem for pushchairs and the less agile but a taxi is only 5 euros from Lassi resort or the capital Argostolli to take you back to the resort. The apartments are well equipped and spotlessly clean with fresh linen and towels every other day. We stayed at the Dionysos Village Resort (used to be called the Liberata Resort) in Lassi for 5 days in mid June 2009 and we really liked it, it’s a beautiful large resort (the name is correct, it’s not a hotel but a vacation resort) with a really big and beautiful swimming pool with lots of sunchairs and several different lounging areas to chat or read (large bar/breakfast area, next to the pool, terrace above the pool, and fun room with pool table and arcades). Just back from two weeks at Dionysos Resort and we didn't want to come back. Ok. There's an 800m hill down to the restaurants and supermarkets but its only 5 euros back up if you don't fancy the hill. Thats the only down side. The views are magnificent. All rooms have a sea view and you can see right across to Lixouri and the Xi beach. The pool is beautiful. No ladders to climb just gentle steps down and gentle steps up again. me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 weeks and what a fantastic place to stay!!! The hotel was beautiful with the most amazing views ever! All rooms had a sunset view overlooking the sea. Standards at this hotel are very high and the pool area is stunning. Maria, the owner and her sons were very welcoming and made our stay very special. The bbq night is a must and the food in the resturaunt was delicious (most definately the best meal of the holiday). The only thing that dissapointed us was that the restaurant was not open everynight... more

Spent 2 weeks relaxing in this wonderful resort! The views are absolutely spectacular! Eat in the restaurant.... the most fantastic food EVER! We tried else where on the island, but nothing compares. All fresh, homemade and wonderful. We'll be back next year. A jewel of a find!!!

We just had 2 wonderful weeks staying at Dionysos resort from July 25 - August 8. This place has an amazing view and lovely staff. Nice clean rooms, very large balcony and a fantastic pool area. Fantastic fun BBQ, Poolparty arrangements by the hotel it self. It was a great workout each day to get up and down the hill but that was only possitive. We will come back soon! Had a lovely holiday here with my boyfriend, parents and sister. Weather and food were lovely. The only downside was the Steep hill, although worth it for the beautifull view. All staff were helpfull and friendly and every where was lovely and clean.

Spent an incredible week here in June with my mom. The weather was great and so was the pool and the VIEW! Nice and clean with friendly owners/staff. Will come back soon :-)
