I stayed here last August, thinking we were staying in the San Remo, after the 1st night being a nightmare through being changed to the apartments and not knowing if we were even allowed to stay in the room for the full week. They weren't THAT bad... yes they are a bit... more

Before going to ibiza we looked at the reviews and when we saw some of the comments we were expecting the worse like we were going to get robbed and the rooms would be awful . Let me tell you we were wrong. Me and 10 other friends went for 10 days and we had no problems... more

After reading multiple negative and frankly scary reviews we were rather apprehensive about staying here. However, as four rather finicky 22-23 yr old girls with relatively high standards, we found our 2 bedroom, 4 bed apartment beyond expectations!! Very clean and well... more

My family and I stayed at the Xaloc Apartments in San Antonio Bay - Ibiza back in April 2011 We booked a 1 bed apartment. On arrival, we was greeted by a very friendly helpful blonde girl, who spoke good English and made us feel very welcome. Upon checking in to the room,... more

My first review, I'm not a fussy person. We didn't pay a lot, and therefore didn't expect a lot. However, If you want to stay in a scruffy, delapidated, disgusting hovel, then the Xaloc is for you. I have been in a long dispute with a reputed travel company over the... more

This hotel is AWFUL, I never write reviews on hotels but I had to this time. 4 of us stayed and we all said that it was the worst hotel we'd everr been in by a long shot. The pool had a layer of brown scum round the rim and all of the sunbeds were broken in some way, some... more

Much better than expected
Ive just got back from a 5 day trip (2 girl break). I was abit worried about reading the other reviews but was pleasantly suprised.April is still abit quiet but the places that were open, were great value for money and very friendly. It was mostly locals and People looking for work about, as the season dosn't really begin till the 1st of may. The weather was great, 1 cold day and 4 scorchers. Its true you have to go over to the San Remo to pick your keys out of season, but the staff wernt un friendly as suggested, only very tired and being bombarded by drunken Brits. Also true if your lost without a cuppa take a travel kettle, but if you cant then boil a pan of water, its not a big deal. This place is for people of all walks of life who want to eat, drink and make noise and be around people doing the same. There is no pool bar but theres loads around and you can take your own supplies to poolside, if the bar is a must for you then you can use san remos pool and pay a lot for your drinks and a bit of snobery. All the local bars, especially the Pink Panther and the cafe next door, were great in every way.
Great entertainment
A nice basic place, probably more recommended for singles/couples rather than kids because of the location. Bring your own tin opener! It was cleaned regularly and in a good location, close to all the things you need, short walk to the town and beaches, it's on the main road through San Antonio bay, so you can't seem to get lost. The balconies were nice, and felt private even though we were at the front on the main road. It was a little noisy at night. Right underneath the apartments are bars etc including the Pink Panther bar, you don't have to go far to find entertainment, and lots of places to eat nearby. The entertainment in the Cafe Royale (bar connected to apartments) was the best I've seen, something different every night, the best being the drag act, not for kids! Thought it was weird that about 3 hotels used the same reception in one hotel across the road, but it was no problem. The lift was very tempremental, and dont know if I remember correctly but it didnt go to every floor.. I may be wrong, but luckily we found a big strong lad to help us with our cases upstairs! Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

Above Expectations
My partner and I stayed at the Xaloc Apartments in August for 5 nights. As per all the reviews I read before travel, the check in was at the sister hotel, the Remo. We arrived early 10am and check-in was not until 14:00 and they are very strict on this not a minute before!!! Not too friendly at reception!!!! Although as we found out most of the spanish in Ibiza dont come across as that friendly!! We were given a storage room for our luggage which made it easier. Once we got to our room (a studio apartment), I was suprised by how big it was. Although it was VERY basic it suited us and we overlooked the pool which was an ideal location. I would recommed to take a kettle as this isn't provided, however there is a microwave. Our cooking hob did not work, and as we could not be bothered to try and have a conversation with the girl on reception, we accepted this and went out for breakfast each morning. The accomodation is more of a 1-2 star standard. Although we had maid service 3 times in the 5 nights we were there. Resort prices are average and we did spend quite a lot in the time that we were there, not really value for money but we put this down to the euro being practically 1-4-1. The Pool area at the Xaloc is lovely although let down by no pool bar, especially as it was VERY hot. It gets quite busy from about 11am onwards, with lots of children. We found that a lot of people used this pool who were not actually staying at the accom, mainly because it is one of the nicest pools in the area. The walk round to San Antonio took about 20 mins with lots of bars and restaurants on the way. It was an enjoyable walk and has been newly re-built. San Antonio itself was alot nicer than I expected and my partner who has been before noticed that it was a lot cleaner than it used to be. Sunset at the Cafe del Mar is a must. It does get very busy but is amazing and well worth waiting for. We travelled back across the harbour on the Ferry, there are 3 depending on which area you need to get to and costs 2 euros 50c one way. The beaches in the bay arent that nice and we didnt venture onto them, they were very busy and crowded, although the sea was crystal clear. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definately return.
great pool - little used
Yes, we also had to check in at the hotel across the road but it was no bother at all and the lifts were certainly working the whole time we were there. Apartments were basic as expected but were clean and the maid came nearly every day with plenty of towels etc. Because there are three pools in this complex and most people were staying at the other two hotel areas, the biggest pool which we had was little used and there was never a problem getting a sunbed. The pool was gloriously warm. We stayed all inclusive and the food was very good at all meals. The AI bar was some distance away but was right on the beach so what more could you want. Big complaint though was the entertainment which was held in the bar opposite the main reception, far from the AI bar so you couldn't have your entertainment with included drinks. It was one or the other - not fair I think. Still Ibiza was lovely and not at all like the way it is hyped up in the media. Would definitely go again.
Basic but clean!
This hotel is not based in San Antonio Town but is an ideal base for a holiday! We are a young group of girls but the hotel was fairly mixed with families also while we were there, the room for four people has two crap beds init from the sofas but the location and cleanliness is worth the money. You need to check in across the road and for some reason our hot water went on the last day, but it was a good stay for what we were there for. Jackie Brown's to the left on the main road is also a good eatery!
OK stay for the money
Outdated but clean and large apartments - amazed as daily maid service for self catering apartments. although fairly quiet whilst i was there, i can see that outside will get very loud - take your ear plugs. pool great and fairly clean, although sunbeds sometime didn't work - beware no umbrellas when we were then and the pool is in the sun all day so no shade at all. staff at the san remo reception - horrible, vile, miserable and everything was a task. if you have a car, go to cala d'hort and es vedra - 2 amazing fish restaurants. in san an bay, sa flama (on the beach) was a great tapas place
xaloc appartments
xaloc appartments were okay but as soon as we arrived we had to go over the road to cheak in because there was no one at the reception. The rooms were cleen and tidy the pool was quiet and there must of been about 10 people by the pool everyday so no need to rush for a sunbed. There was no one supervising the hotel the only time someone came was to fix the lift. I would recomed to go to the bullbar just around the corner the bull is free when you drink there. if you want to go to the town you can catch a boat just opposite the hotel or you can walk for about 20 mins up the road. if you see burgerking do not go there because is worse than in uk the chips are foul but KFC is nice! The warterpark is rubbish theres a few slides and you que for ages you can ether go by bus which is cheap but you have to catch 2 or you can have a taxi wich costs a bomb I would go back to ibiza but i wouldnt go to xaloc appartments. P.S in the field in the bottom of the picture there is a hotel there now.
desolate appartments
arrived early hours of the morning had to check in at hotel across the road couldnt believe the state of the place when we finally got in, it is desolate, disgusting, given a room on the third floor although no one else staying there, lift broken so had to drag three suit cases up three flight of stairs ourselves as there is no reception staff.rooms damp, stale blankets and stained mattresses light fitments hang off walls, if not hanging off walls no bulbs, complete darkness on 2nd floor, no lightning outside appartments these appartments are not like the photos on holiday websites if you got any water at all it was usually mostly luke warm, These apparments should b condemd utter disgrace
Xalox Apartments
Firstly the reception in the Xaloc isnt manned so you have to go across the road to the San Remo to check in ect which isnt a problem really. The apartments are a reasonable standard, very spacious in the one bed apart and clean with all necessary equipment just a bit dated, bathroom suite in need of replacing and vents often smelt V bad. Maids came in everyday to tidy, change towels and make beds. Air con for 10 euro deposit, worked well. Very big pool and plenty of loungers but much better to get a car and drive to some of the amazing beaches outside of San An. Wouldnt recommend for Kids or people wanting early nights as its very noisy all through the night but thats to be expected in this type of accomodation and resort. 30 Mins walk into town but busy bars and restaurants all the way. 6 euro in taxi or 2 euro on the water taxi. Libertys Amercian bar about 3 mins walk from Xaloc towards town is great food and good prices. The Curry Club in San An Town is amazing, best Indian food. Villa Mercedes opposite the port is great for chill out cocktails.
