We stayed at this hotel a few days prior to departing on a cruise and found the hotel to be very clean and the staff were very responsive. We arrived during the volcano ash travel disruption and noticed that the staff were very helpful in assisting stranded guests as well as those arriving. The room was clean and yes there was a glass door separating the bathroom however it wasn't an issue in our room because the glass was etched and you couldn't see into the bathroom. we had a really nice time at this hotel - champagne on arrival, staff were friendly. we didnt have a problem with the glass door to the bathroom! really central location.

The hotel is new, with clean, bright and well equipped rooms. Location: Perfect. 3 or 4 blocks from Passeig de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya. Bedroom: Nice with a big bed, modern décor and large windows. Bathroom: Spacious and modern. Great shower. The only problem is that it has a glass door separating it from the bedroom!!! Perfect location at walking distance from Placa Catalunya and Ramblas . Rooms are in modern style,bathroom with rain shower and good isolation from outside noice. Personnel is very attentive, service at arrival and breakfast is very good. All personnel speaks very good English or even other languages. Breakfast is as it should be. We were there at the time of travel problems due to the vulcanic ash cloud and were helped very well at the reception. When I will be back in Barcelona, I will not even think to book another... more

Me and my wife arrived at the hotel very early on the 2nd of April 2010. The hotel had a very nice design and looked really good from the outside. The decoration was minimal and it looked like it was close to meeting our expectations. After checking in, everything changed......we went to the room to discover that the toilet had a glass door which did not provide for any privacy at ALL. Not only you could be seen right through the glass, But you could be heard of just like you were doing your thing in the bedroom. This was not even close... more

I could hardly believe it, the bathroom had an enormous sliding glass door, not frosted - crystal clear. There are one or two things you just prefer not to share, even with your spouse. Apart from that it was a really nice room, I couldn't fault it for the price. The girls at reception were really nice but the girl who works the coffee bar should be sacked. We came back at around ten in the evening and asked for a beer and were told in no uncertain terms (in Spanish) that she was closing in fifteen minutes so if we wanted a drink it'd... more

We arrived in Barcelona quite weary and were immediately put at ease by the frendly,efficient hotel staff. We had no idea what to expect as we had been quickly sought this hotel by our agent because the original one The Silken Ramblas let us down (another story). The hotel is a leaisurely 20 minute stroll from the bus station and about a 15 minute one to Las Ramblas. The drinks were cheaper int he hotel than on las Ramblas. We stayed here for 3 nights, this is a very clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Breakfast is also very good all really good value.

checked in for a quick weekend away. lovely hotel, easy location with just a short walk to plaza catalunya for loads of transport options. modern, open setting. huge rooms. fantastic showers and really friendly staff. we had breakfast at 50% off (15euros for the both). it was delicious and well-presented. would happily stay here again. great value!

We flew into Girona and got bus to barcelona, this hotel was booked on the bus due to other hotel "Silken Ramblas" Cancelling our hotel when we arrived in Spain (another story) It worked out cheaper than the original one which we thought wouldnt be possible for this type of hotel. From the bus station it was approx 20min easy walk to Hotel, the walk to La Rambla is easy and pleasant also, approx 15mins..
