Mar 2012, Lou

Horrid all inclusive, food poor and a bit the samey, repeated twice a week, bland, overcooked, we had to eat out end expend a fortune. Rooms damp and must. Hotel updated. Location either not good, about 20 minutes walk to the beach. Children entertainment a bit better. The... more

Will go Adults Only Next Time!
Me and my mum have just returned on Tuesday from a week stay at the Holiday Village Viva. We stayed there from 19th - 26th. Transfer time from the airport is about 1hr. We were in block 2 which is behind block 1 and block 1 over looked the mini golf. We were on floor 1 so only heard people walking one floor above us not 2. We were lucky and did not have a problem with ants but some people we spoke to had problems. We had a really nice time but would not stay there again. I will go in to more detail below. Hotel Cleanliness - It was... more
great first holiday abroad!
We visited the hvv 14th sep 06 for me and my 2 daughters it was our first holiday abroad and we had a fantastic time.First impressions of the hvv were great the apartments were spacious and very clean i would give them 10/10 for how clean they were and how hard the staff worked everyday to ensure they stayed that way,the only downfall was at mealtimes the staff were a little eager to take away your plates!! The pool area was again very clean and we had no problems geting sunbeds even early afternoon we always found a sunny spot and a... more
Not my cup of tea!
On arrival to viva C'an Picafort, we thought what a great place! Clean, spacious apartments & balcony's. There were staff cleaning everyday around the complex. Room was serviced every day except Saturday & Sunday. Food Not very nice. Breakfast, although there was a lot to choose from the quality wasn't that good. The sausages were the size of chipolatas and not like any sausage i had ever had before. There were hard bits in it that resembled bone. Lunch & dinner wasn't much better. Again lots to choose from... more
Great holiday!
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week long all-inclusive stay at the Viva Village (2-9th September). All in all I would highly recommend it! We arrived at 8.45pm and were met with a friendly rep (makes a change!), and shown into the large, attractive hotel foyer. The receptionists were very helpful and ushered us straight in for dinner as it ended at 9.00pm. They kept our bags safe and then pointed us to our room when we were finished. Our room was located in Block 4 on the ground floor. It had everything we needed;... more
Kids Galore!
2 adults 3 children (4, 20 months and 6 months) travelled. Ok resort. We arrived middle of May and there were people everywhere, apparently the next week another 600 people were arriving!! We could never get a sun bed around the pool, no matter what time you arrived. The kids pool was very small, 3 children and a small dinghy in there and there was no room for any other children. We walked to the beach every day in the end, you could take your pick of sun beds and it was really quiet there. Only 15 minute walk (across a busy... more
Excellent Holiday
Just returned from an excellent holiday. Rooms have enough space for a family of 4 set out in blocks of 3 high. Our apartment was facing the road but it wasnt busy but it was situated under the stair which was a real problem if you wanted to sleep before everyone had gone back to the apartments. The kids reps and the entertainment team were fantastic, always something going on all day. Even if your kids doent want to go the kids clubs which our teenager didnt, there is alot going on around the pool area for them. There are activities for... more
Excellent hotel for families
We've just returned from our two week stay at the Holiday Village Viva, and we had a great time. Even though most people stay all inclusive (as we did), the rooms are actually two room apartments and are very spacious, new and clean. We stayed in block 4 facing the pool which I would highly recommend, as you have a nice view of the pool and gardens but are away from the entertainment and restaurant, and so it is nice and quiet when you retire for the evening. I have never seen so many members of staff in one hotel and everyone... more
Kiddies Heaven
We spent a fortnight at the viva with our 3 kids aged 8,4 and 2, its well advertised that this "village" is aimed at young familys and it did'nt let us down, plenty to do for the kids from onsite soccer school to a baby creche as well as kids clubs, kids disco every night, splash park, kids cinema at 9pm, high ropes etc. The food we felt was good enough and not repetitive, you can book the italian restraunt and the caribean grill once a week to get a wee change from the main self service restraunt. The poolside bar was handy but often... more
Excellent facilites, poor food
Firstly, the real name of this hotel village is “Viva Ca’n Picafort” and not “Holiday Village Viva” as it is commonly referred to. This saves confusion, especially with Taxi drivers, with “Viva Mallorca” which is another “Holiday Village Viva” a few hundred metres down the rod in the resort. The good points about the holiday village are first class accommodation, excellent grounds and buildings, first class staff and a standard of cleanliness, which we have not seen before is our many visits to the island. This is an... more
Very clean hotel!
Hotel Village Viva, C'an Picafort, Majorca. 23rd May 2006. Have just returned from two weeks at the above resort. There were eight of us. My husband and myself and our two children, age 10 and 8. My two friends with their two children age 10 and 4. The hotel itself was immaculate. Cleaners were everywhere you looked and the gardens around the complex were kept spotless. Due to the ages of our children, the one thing we did find was that there were an awful lot of babies and toddlers. Never seen so many in one place!!! This was a little... more
