Just arrived home from the Lanzarote Gardens. A lot of research and reading these and other reviews went into the planning of this holiday, as we have a 17 month old baby.
I am delighted to say that the Lanzarote Gardens was exactly what I expected and overall we had an excellent holiday.
The staff throughout the complex were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were polite and genuine. You also dealt with the same people regularly which helps as they remember you and small and friendly beats the large impersonal in my view.
The hotel is low rise, immaculate, very spacious and nicely laid out. Baby club was excellent just to give us an hour break a couple of times. The other holidaymakers were a really pleasant bunch and because everyone was happy we all got along really well - no moaners!
Animation were really friendly and enthusiastic, not too pushy but again very friendly.
Food was OK, not the best we've had in an hotel but not the worst. I think any buffet system is prone to a few flaws. Firstly when the resort is quiet, food can stand around and get cool, but when it is busy, I would imagine the opposite happens where they run out before you get yours and end up waiting for fresh meat while your chips are going cold.
I wouldn't overly criticise the food because of this, so I think saying it is OK is about fair. They did try to provide plenty of choice and the service was excellent-Gracia's Maria!
The Pools - there are 3 pools, one was freezing and not used much, the other 2 were heated (including the 'baby' pool). This was an important factor for me. Don't be fooled by 'acclimatised' I think this means that when it is sunny the pool gets heated presumably by solar.
The 2 heated pools were really good. It felt a bit cool going in but fine when you were in there, I played water polo a couple of times and it was December!
Lanzarote I am pleased to say, hasn't been ruined by over development and still feels as classy as it did 15 years ago.
Don't hesitate, if you want a good value holiday in a very clean hotel in a very good location.
I guess you can't please everybody but this hotel tried their best.

We stayed at this hotel for the fist time and it will not be the last time we stay here. Our daughter is 9 years old and had the time of her life here, the animation team were first class and the entertainment in the evenings was the best we have seen.
The rooms were basic but spotlessly clean, with two separate rooms for sleeping and living.
The complex itself was beautiful with lots of tropical plants and flowers everywhere.
The food was varied every evening, and all the staff were warm and friendly.
We will stay here again, and I cannot praise this hotel enough, the photos available do not do this hotel justice at all. Look out for Paul, who works with the animation team, he went out of his way to make everyone’s holiday enjoyable.
Some of the animation team even sat with the children for their evening meal which was really nice. 10 out of 10.

This was our second time at Lanzarote Gardens. Fab time. The kids loved it once again, especially the animation team who do a great job of keeping the kids happy all day.
The entertainment in the evening was great too. Great location, great pools, staff were really friendly and helpful.
The rooms are being modernized at the moment and I was lucky to get the chance to see one which was really nice. We will certainly be going back.

Accommodation excellent. 5 minute walk to centre of Teguise. Unfortunately there were no other teenagers at the complex when we were there which was unfortunate as my 14 year old son did not meet anyone. The complex was immaculate and the entertainment team seemed to entertain all the children and adults alike. We tended to go out of the complex as my son did not have anyone his age. We did not go to the entertainment in the hotel either, but on speaking to someone they said it was of a high quality. The apartments were very nice. We had a ground floor corner apartment with a huge balcony. There are a lot of Germans go to this complex but I did see more British people our second week.
I would return to Teguise, possibly not these apartments only because it appeared to be younger children who were at this complex. Having said that we were maybe just unlucky the two weeks that we chose.

We, that is 2 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 7 went for 1 weeks holiday in July 2004 with Eclipse Holidays.
The accommodation was ok, perhaps needed updating a bit, but we had cooking facilities, sink, and fridge, even though we were half board. We only used the fridge for beer, etc. and snacks for the kids. The buffet food at breakfast and dinner was ok, but it catered more for a European pallet than British. There were not alot of British people staying at the Hotel. They were mainly German, Spanish, and French etc.
The Animation team (the kids club) was run by the Hotel, and they were excellent. Even though my kids didn’t join in during the daytime activities, they loved watching the nightly entertainment that was put on by the team.
The bus stops right outside the hotel to take you into Playa Del Carmen, and to the Aqua Park. Do not walk there. We did. We nearly died doing it in the hot mid day sun!!!! It only cost 4 Euros for a taxi back. Oh dear.
We are thinking of going back to this Hotel again in a month or so. If you don’t like the food, but I am sure you will like some of it, then there is a McDonalds in Costa Teguise to treat the kids, and there are numerous restaurants in the resort that looked very appealing. Not alot going on in the resort, but it usually is a bit breezy which is lovely, and there are African hair braiders and trampolines with harnesses on the sea front which are great.
Will be going again this year hopefully.

Great location, central position in resort. As the brochure said, it is only 200yds from the beach. Shopping centre across the road for all your creature comforts. Some pushy salespeople though!
Public transport buses stop outside the hotel door,20 minute service weekdays to Arrecife etc(1euro)clean, fast. Not noisy position traffic on road outside hotel not heavy, no noisy nightlife nearby!
Hotel was great, spacious reception, clean and well serviced rooms, pleasant and friendly staff, only too happy to help. Buffet restaurant pleasant, well serviced. Food varied, not always hot, watch for fresh supplies, or ask!
Families, couples and middle aged guests, made for a pleasant atmosphere. If you don’t like children this may not be for you. We went as a couple and did not find it a problem.
The children’s entertainment was superb all day. This would not be for teenagers!!
Evening entertainment was good(so we thought)varied, the team put lots of energy into everything they did. Really enjoyed our 2 week stay, would recommend to a friend!
