H10 London Waterloo

I booked this hotel through late rooms. As it is a new hotel, I had no idea what it would be like so I was really suprised to see how great it was. We were going to an event at the Coronet at the elephant and castle. Our room was huge and had great views of London. We were on floor six, so ask for a floor on six or above. Fresh modern hotel on Waterloo Road, 10 mins from the station. Lots of buses to West End pass by. All usual modern facilities. Bath & Shower. Room refreshments - coffee and croissant downstairs is £5.50. Excellent hotel - rooms a little small. Mainly Spanish staff. Good value at £95 but would feel uncomfortable if paid full rack rate.

Booked this hotel via the Internet. The location of this Hotel in Google Maps was a different one than the reality. So this was a liitle bit disappointing. The hotel itself is really fresh and 20 minutes walk to the Strand. There are a lot of startup problems in the hotel. The rooms were not ready, 2 beds in stead of a kingsize etc. Also forget to take some lugage with me and still waiting for it. Hence 2 calls and 3 e-mails after a month it is still not returned however the mentioned on the ophone that the found it.

Lovely modern hotel, champagne on arrival was a nice touch. Was disappointed the sauna annd treatments aren't available yet, as suggested on the website and that there was no 24hr room service, they told us they had run out! Apart from those grumbles, fantastic value for money, very comfortable rooms, good views, fab shower!

Brand new hotel (opened in late February 2010) that is a10- minute walk from Waterloo station. This is the Spanish chain's first hotel in London, and it comes with a complimentary glass of cava upon checkin and free wi-fi that really works in the rooms. Average sized rooms, nicely decorated in beige/white tones with modern style, comfortable beds with work desk and chair and side chair with large LCD TV, but the room is alittle dark for working. I'd agree with the previous reviewers: It's a very smart new hotel, 10 minutes from Waterloo. I'd question the "great location" tag though - It's bordering some very rough areas and guests should be particularly street-wise if they venture near to the Elephant & Castle! That being said, it's excellent VFM for the room. Breakfast was a pricey £15 and although there was a substantial buffet, there wasn't any Muesli or fruit yoghurt. Coffee was a bit murky too. Stayed for two nights this week while on business in the area, found the hotel to be a great base, and the complimentary wi-fi is a bonus. While the hotel has just opened I found the staff warm and welcoming, and all of the facilities to be adequate. One slight negative would be the lack of atmosphere in the restaurant. Would definitately recommend this property to similar travellers.

We have just arrived back from a 3 day break staying in the newly opened H10 Waterloo. Upon arrival we were given a glass of champangne...great start to a fantastic stay! We decided to pay a little extra for the deluxe room and it was definatelty worth it. The room was spacious, light and from the floor to ceiling window we had a view of the London Eye! We stayed here last night - 5 days after it opened. Everything was brand new, we think we were actually the only people who had slept in the room and used the bathroom (bath and shower), big wardrobe and a digital safe. Extremely modern hotel and well located. Very big tv and lots of little touches, you could even plug your ipod into the wall to play, and nice bathroom pack. Stayed here a couple of days after it opened (3rd March). Very impressed. Smart, modern decor. Friendly staff (although I didn't really require much service apart from checking in and out) and a good location. Small room but well appointed, big flat screen TV, nice beds and most impressively the window wall. Up on the 11th floor I got an amazing view at night over to Canary Wharf. Reasonable rate as well (95) via 3rd party booking site.
