I am a 17 year old brit. My grandparents live in the hotel, as they have been coming to the island for over 20 years. I can safely say the nightlife is outstanding for the younger generation. There is non-stop entertainment throughout the day and night, ensuring maximum pleasure during the holiday. The pool area is delightful and the rooms are ideal for 4 persons. A truly remarkable experience!!

I have to finally say something, after keeping it all in, about our 5 day experience at this place,as a special but short, holiday break(5 ngt) for my birthday in August.
I am currently looking to visit beautiful MALTA at the moment, and thought I would have a peek at the place we stayed-to see if there was any improvement? ...Not looking good by the other peoples comments!!PLEASE do NOT BOOK HERE!!= if you want any type of livable accomodation! It is like student halls in the UK but much much worse!!-as I have been a student only 7 years ago and loved the atmosphere! This is something else!It was like a cattle market or worse!..just at reception when we arrived!! When we were FINALLY given our keys&checked in!MY GOD!!when we got to the room ...I CRIED MY EYES OUT!As it was discracefull to say the least!! AND...this was my birthday celebration home for the next 4days! Me & my partner both said to eachother OH GOD!!we did NOT expect such squalour & dirt & old decrepid over used facilities like this,-after PAYING £600.00 for 4 days in MALTA after you consider the travel time( as it was meant to be a five day trip!)I cried! He was upset!(about the situation we were put in, after so, so looking forward to this getaway birthday break after working hard all year round! DONT BOOK HERE! Unless you dont mind what I have mentioned & you want NOISE ALL NIGHT,PEOPLE KNOCKING YOUR DOOR,OVERCROWDING EVERYWHERE IN THE HOTEL AREA & RUDENESS! then its for you!
- Holiday Date:Aug 2007
- Advice: DONT BOOK THIS PLACE!!DO ur homework & check out what you want&expect -MALTA IS BEAUTIFULL!!
- Activities: MOST WERE GREAT IN THE SURROUNDING WALKABLE AREA!! AS WE COULD NOT EVEN EAT IN THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi iam a 14 year old who stayed here with about 40 others from my school on a sports tour from manchester/stockport. we stayed here in april last year and we all really enjoyed it !! theres a shopping centre round the corner, a bolwing ally, arcades, a little market and a burger king out side with resturants and clubs surrounding it. i can say this was the most memberable i have been on there was loads to do and we never got bored, you can go swimming too. the only bad thing was the food at breckfast and dinner it was a little tasta less and rushed but it was till 3* food. we got givin packed lunches to go out with which were really great aswell. i dnt no wht all the fuss is because are rooms got cleaned everyday and yerr the rooms were small but they had an en-suit and a balcony with had a really nice view aswell. the hotel was clean aswell it does look scruffy but iv gtta admit it was clean and tidy i can say none of us had a problem with it !!!!

Want noise? Come to St. Georges Park/LaValette apts.
Partying until the early hours ensures that your children will not sleep, and your children crying will ensure nor do you! I complained and asked to be moved from the room directly above disco, on the front, but hotel was full. Full of louts.
The Hotel is ideally situated for Sliema/St. Pauls, Paceville and St. Julians, and as we have friends living in Ballutta it was ideal (busses frequent to other parts of the island too) So great by day, consequences by night.
Be prepared for a noise fest, and the food is merely average. (BK over the road)
I have to say I enjoyed the layout of the pool area, as it gets very hot being enclosed from any wind, just try not to watch the idiots jumping through the concrete 'O' next to the pool, I couldn't stop squirming. I found a bug on my lettuce here, so burger had to go in the bin!
Great for the young, nightmare for families and older couples.

Lovely clean hotel with air con. Pool isn’t the best for young children or non swimmers as only a very small part of it is shallow.
It is a quiet area so if you want busy nightlife you need to get a bus or taxi into the towns, but if you are craving a nice quiet time then this is perfect.
Lovely helpful staff who help with any problems with a smile every time. Very tolerant of children.

Room was dirty - no one cleaned our sink all week! No entertainment, all inclusive option was a joke. Lunch was unavailable, the dinners were terrible (tinned food every night badly overcooked) No choice of snacks, indoor bar was shut, no mattresses on the sun loungers!
This is not a 3* hotel, it’s awful.
Complained to Sunmaster - they can’t even bother to respond. Terrible service

If you like smashed glass everywhere, dirty rooms, used durex around the pool, enjoy listening to partying Italians all night then this holiday is for you.
8 floors where the lifts break down every day (even better with a pram and young kids) then this is the holiday for you. For further details watch holidays from hell. It’s been on there. Take it from me please stay away!

Are these comments for real? I would not send my worst enemy here. We had a group holiday for 26 people booked to stay at these apartments and all had to pay on arrival to be moved to a different resort.
The apartments were an absolute disgrace, tiny, filthy, like a sweat box, excuses for beds which were wooden boxes on the floor with thinnest mattresses I have ever seen in my entire life and the supposed living area of the apartment was the same. There is a rule board in the lobby area of the apartments stating that boys and girls are not allowed in the same room, there is a curfew of midnight and no alcohol allowed on the premises.
Some of the people on holidays with us were in their 60s and to stay in these apartments would no way be suitable, it was full of language students who probably didn’t care what type of accommodation they had, the noise at night time would have been unbearable as the balcony was over the main street of Paceville. We did not by any means get this holiday cheap are as a last minute deal we had booked the holiday a year in advance and were terribly let down advice to anybody planning to go here, don’t!
Malta is a fab holiday destination but we have learned that if you are going to go there you really need to stay in the 5star hotels in the area, a few extra pound but let me tell you it is certainly worth it, apartments in st. Julian’s are not for the faint hearted and I do not exaggerate!

A very good hotel for its 3* rating. The food was great and I am a very picky eater so if I say the food is great then it really is. A good choice everyday and if you don’t like what’s on offer they will cook you something else.
Great catering for the kids too. The hotel is kept very tidy and rooms cleaned everyday. The pools were excellent, cleaned everyday and they are large, the kids loved it here and we would go again.

It was a great location, right on the doorstep of the nightlife, but this did not affect the quality of sleep. The locals and staff were very very helpful and friendly at all times, you could walk out at night on your own without a problem. The bus service to other parts of the island was ideal with a regular service. The accommodation was ideal, spacious, however the Maltese idea of clean was very different to our standards of cleanliness, but this can only be expected.

My husband and my 8 year old and I were staying at St George’s Park Apartments in the Paceville area of St George’s/St Julian’s bay in Malta. We paid 1300 Euros for 1 week self catering.
We were initially concerned by the liveliness of the resort and had heard some horror stories about the Apartments and it’s unsuitability for families. Maybe it was because we expected to be disappointed or just because we were only hoping for a clean comfortable base to tour the island from, but all in all, we found the accommodation basic but adequate for our needs.
If you are the type who wants to spend a lot of time at your Apartments and have kids then it isn’t ideal. There is nothing here for kids, the entertainment in the evening was poor and that’s when it wasn’t cancelled (which happened at least 3 nights out of 7. It really is a lively resort full of clubbers after 9pm so unless you are on the top floor facing the pool (which I’m pleased to say, we were), it’s unlikely you will sleep much.
We only used the apartment for bathing and sleeping, there were safe facilities for your valuables and although there is no air conditioning, we found even in 33 degree heat, the fans on all the ceilings were sufficient, though the bathrooms were very stuffy.
There is a good supermarket in site and two good sized pools outdoors and one indoor in the basement. These apartments aren’t the nicest I have stayed in but they delivered what I needed.
Paceville isn’t terrific but the restaurants we ate at were top notch. The best food we had in Paceville was in a bar diner called Fluid situated in the main shopping precinct on the upstairs. Get out to St Julian’s bay in the evening it really is lovely.
We packed so much into our week including round the Island cruise, Gozo, Comino tours, a trip to Sicily (NOT to be missed!!) The town of Taormino is beautiful.
Malta was definitely a holiday I enjoyed, but I have to be honest and insist if you go to any of the st Julian’s/St George’s resorts and have kids, it’s worth spending that little extra for a complex with kids club and/or entertainment, you will find apart from restaurants, there’s very little to do at night in Malta unless you are a clubber. Go see Malta! Book excursions, captain Morgan has a great ferry service with lunches and if you don’t mind a whole day out, go to Sicily, to stand on Mount Etna, eat real Sicilian pizza and drink true cappuccinos, it was the best!

we went on a young girls holiday "wer all mid 20's) and we found this complex to be perfect. location is fantastic, the sea is a stones throw away and the apartments were clean, equipped a bargain. The only problem was the amount of young italians that were there at the same time. Noise wasnt an issue for us, but this place is not really ideal for young children or those seeking a relaxing break. But for young party goers you couldnt find better in St Julians.
