Me, my partner and my two children (ages 1 and 2) went last year (2010) for two weeks in september. It was fantastic, the hotel is lovely and clean and theres plenty for the children to do. The resort itself has plenty of restaurants and most of them have play areas. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Also the weather was fab!!
We are in the process of booking again for next year!! Can't wait!

Had 2 fantastic weeks the complex is kept clean, maid in 6 days out of 7 bar staff resturant staff all helpful nothing the bother.Mr Mingos has his eyes every where and keeps is staff in line. Anthula on reception is very helpful and knows the areas well.Plenty places to eat/drink, try The Oasis pool spent all day there and settled our bill on leaving. The cake shop up the hill is to die for well worth the walk, and getting the calories off for the next cake !!!! Our Thomson rep Laura was very helpful and went out of her way to offer advice.Would encourage a stay at this complex to everyone, you only need to take your clothes, as hair drier in the room plus movie channel, music 24/7 no charge, laundry facilities on hand GREAT

Just back from Pefkos Beach. Very impressed with our room. Room was spotless and well laid out. Lovely views. Climb up hill was a bit of a killer but got used to it after a while. We never used the pool as thought the sunbeds round the pool area were a bit too cramped together and over crowded. The staff at reception were all lovely and very helpful.Never used the restaurant as have our favourite the Hellas Garden that we go to but have used it in previous years and was very nice. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone.
- Advice: Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

we went to peftkos beach during the last week of season, and although alot was closed the bars and restaurants were delightful. two brothers was gorgeous except it seemed pricey as they advertised a 15% off but it turned out to be only for the beer!!!
which was annoying. enigma was lovely my husband loved his tagatelle with seafood dish, i however preferred the food in nostalgia, it was delicious every time no moaning and 20% off everytime!!and very child friendly. georges was ok but we got infested by ants and it ruined the meal. rooms in peftkos beach were stunning, very comfortable and very spacious!! however the biggest downfall was when we were charged 70 euros for apparently breaking a chair due to it getting wet outside(due to rain)so 50 euros went to a new chair which angered us as it might well have gotten wet but we certainly didnt bend it in half to break it!!they also charged my 16 month old son 20 euros for breaking a bit of plastic off their offers sign which was situated in the bedrooms!! ridiculous!!big let down and has put us off going back,we will be complaining!!we were also refused entry back into our room 2 mins after official checkout time,we needed to get dry as the rain was so bad wed gotten drenched and needed to warm back up.however even after saying we have 3 kids under 5 they refused to let us back in!!!!we were freezing.the weather was hot as hell for 3 days then the rest of hols was grey glum then torrential rain!! we will definately be going back to rhodes next september but not to peftkos beach hotel..although stunning is really not worth the hassel of potential accidents!!

We went to Pefkos 3 years ago, but we have just returned from our first stay at Pefkos Beach Hotel. We asked for a quiet room, preferably with an upper floor and a double bed. When we checked in the receptionist (Ray) went through our requests and said that we had a lovely appartment up the hill. The appartment turned out to be brilliant. Very modern and clean with a separate kitchen. The bathroom was not the usual Greek bathroom that we had been expecting! It was big with a shower in the bath, which you didn't have to hold! There was constant good water pressure and the water was hot enough to shave in.The toilet was clean and fresh. I didn't have to do any cleaning! The beds were single, but placed together, and they were new! Bins were emptied every day except Sunday and we had clean linen and towels every 3 days. The appartments are spread over quiet a hilly area, but there is a 'lift' to get you up half the hill, then steps. The gardens are really lovely and beautifully kept. All the staff were friendly and work very hard. The guys in the poolbar were really efficient at multi-tasking! Their breakfasts were good too, and prices were comparable with the rest of Pefkos. A downside was the price of the air con... 110 euro for 2 weeks. Also we couldn't leave it on (or charge anything up) while we were out, as the elecricity only worked when our key fob magnet was connected. The air-con took a long time to reach a comfortable temp as it is very hot there. We think the price of the air-con far outweighed the useage of it, even if we had it on all day. The only other downside happens all over..... the sunbed reservers! We found sunbeds and stayed there most of the day, but there would be towels on the 2 next to us and the people didn't turn up for 4 hours!
Pefkos is a quiet place, but has enough bars and restaurants to keep anyone happy. Zorba's is very good and gives a free (huge) glass of wine if you get there between 6 & 8. There are also plenty of trips to go on - the glass bottom boat trip to Lindos is a must! All in all we had a lovely stay at the Pefkos Beach and would thoroughly reccommend it!

We have been to this resort 5 years ago and we were disappointed with the Bar culture that has now arrived at Pefkos. If you want good traditional food the best place is the Coralli on the road out heading towards Lardus from the Taxi rank it’s about 4 Euros but well worth that little extra cost. The food is excellent and the presentation as good if not better than most of our restaurants in the UK and if you are a desert lover well here you will find paradise the owners mum who has now retired makes all the deserts and they are to die for every spoonful a sheer delight and even better their prices are far cheaper than those in the main street of Pefkos i.e. a large beer is 1 euro cheaper a steak is at least 4 Euros cheaper but make sure you leave room for those deserts. The amazing traditional menu all fresh will keep you going through your holiday.
We did try other places to eat but found ourselves returning to the Coralli. The owners is there every minute it is open and oversees everything and this lady misses nothing she insist on only the best from all her staff. Her and her staff make you feel more like an old friend not just a customer this welcome is not only warm but also very genuine.
This Hotel has just had a lift fitted to help get you up most of the hill. The reception staff are very good. The only down side to this hotel is the evening/night bar staff who a cocky and arrogant bordering on being rude and the young lad is emulating the older member of staff.
The whole area is surrounded by gardens, the plants are very well kept and it made part of our holiday being surrounded with such nice plants and fragrances the gardener does a great job.
The cleaners are very good and linen change seems to be almost every other day with the exception no cleaner on a Sunday. I can recommend this Hotel/apartments, would I return to this hotel and would I recommend it yes I would.
- Advice: Pefkos is a long way from Rhodes Town and as fuel cost are as high as in the UK it becomes expensive

I have just arrived back from a weeks holiday from Pefkos Rhodes. Pefkos beach apartments are to a very good standard, very friendly staff and extremly clean.
This was a last minute booking as we were advised that Rhodes would still have lovely weather this time of year and it was fantastic too hot some days allowing a fantastic tan!!!!
Even though the hotel was on a hillside this was very small and with the lift also accessible for all.
The pool area was very clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar food was lovely also.
As we were self catering we ate out each night at a different place for variety. Enigma was be far my favourite the food and atmostphere was fantastic. Nostaligia was the worst which was a shame as it is part of the hotel with you cannot fault.
We had a trip to Lindos by taxi on the way there which cost 7euros and we walked back which was a pretty strole. Lindos town was very pretty the maze of shops was ideal for gift buying and trinkets to take home.
Pefkos beach was very pretty with a beautifull sea. With small fish swimming by your feet.
I would recommend this holiday for couples who would like a quiet get away with hot weather.

Arrived home on the 18th September after two glorious weeks. Pefkos has grown in the last few years but is still a sleepy little village with a very quiet road through the centre. The beaches are beautiful, warm crystal clear water teaming with rather friendly fish. Make sure you take some bread in with you and you will be surrounded. Absolutley perfect for kids, and snorkeling with shallow sheltered water. You can even manage to find a spot to put a towel if you dont want to stump up the 8€ for a pair of sunbeds if you are only down there for an hour or two.
Pefkos Beach hotel was perfect for us - a family of three. Always enough sunbeds to go around by the pools. There is a steep slope up to some of the rooms, but we were only half way up. From there we didnt really notice any noise at night, apart from some distant karaoke occasionally. Our studio was pretty spacious and modern with plenty of storage, and always clean. The kitchen had only the standard greek kitchen 'unit' with a sink, fridge and only two cooker rings, and virtually no utensils so if you are into true self catering this is not ideal for cooking meals. Air-con is essential but a little expensive, especially as you are not able to leave it on when you are out. The room key switches the power on, which means you cant charge up your cameras etc unless you are in.
Katerina the cleaner is a lovely friendly lady who cleans daily, leaving regular fresh towels and sheets. She even left flowers on our pillows on one occasion. The other staff were very friendly and helpful too.
Eating out - The pool bar was not bad at all for lunches - Gyros, Chicken etc at reasonable prices. Nostalgia at the bottom of the hotel is ok if you want English food or a Bar snack, but the restaurant meal wasnt fantastic and the giant wall projector telly is a real put off. Enigma across the road was much better, as was Smile (with a childrens playground) and the Greek House nearer the beach, which was delicious although a little expensive. Zorbas was really poor with tiny portions but cheap, maybe if you dont choose from the €8.90 for 3 courses menu you may get a better meal.
Our favourite trip by far was the Glass Bottom Boat 2 hour cruise, with a stop for a swim, and a couple of beers. It leaves from just down the road - follow the signs. The skipper was very friendly and amusing, and had a few little suprises in store. Absolute bargain and well worth doing.
Would recommend for families - Booking for next year shortly.

We had 2 weeks at the Pefkos Beach Hotel in July and it was fabulous! You really can't fault the place. We had a room on the hill with fantastic sea views (yes there is a hill but you get used to it). If you're going in July/August you'll definitely need the air con.
The main strip has lots of restaurants to choose from at reasonable prices. Nostalgia restuaurant on the hotel complex is by far the nicest place we ate at. Other good places we would recommend are Enigma, Smile Garden, Lee Beach (on the beach) and Zorbas
The people are so friendly here, the staff are just great and because lots of people go there year after year there's a really good vibe about the place.
The rooms are quite spacious and the cleaner comes every day apart from Sunday. Our cleaner was so jolly and mad as frogs she's the happiest person we met in Rhodes!
All in all everything you want from a great holiday, clean accomodation, nice people, reasonable prices and red hot sun!

Best self catering appartmet I have been to beautifully clean and spacious. Ideally positioned by the pool at the bottom of the hill and no problems with noise or rowdiness. Girls (both 13) loved the pools and the nearby beach is pleasant and offers good swimming but snorkelling a bit dull. In august the Air conditionning is essential so remember the extra 55 euros per room ( a bit expensive) and the cooking facilities are very basic but this hardly matters with all the local restaurants - Enigma is best and Nostalgia one of the worst. The water park is an essential trip with children. Organized trips were ok but relatively expensive for what was provided ( we did blue cruise and go Greek). Overall a good holiday for people with kids in tow and want a beach holiday. It would have been nice for Pefkos to be slightly less English in feel but I doubt if you will find better accommodation of it's type on the island.

This holiday was a wedding present from my parents. They had booked a weeks holiday at Pefkos Beach Hotel for our Honeymoon. We were overwhelmed at such a generous gift and were made even happier with the apartments and location they had chosen for us. The standard of our apartment was superb, very modern, great kitchen, sleeping and bathroom facilities, all very new and most importantly very clean and very comfortable. The apartment was situated half way up the hill. This was not a issue because lets face it, a little exercise does not hurt anyone! However, the following week their lift would be working! The apartment had a lovely balcony from which you could see the surrounding area and sea, very picturesque. Our room had air conditioning which was a godsend, all we had to do was to pay for this as an extra at reception and it was turned on immediately. We flew from Gatwick and arrived early hours in the morning at Pefkos, upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the most friendly and helpful gentleman in reception. He was great, he whisked our suitcases away on his scooter up the hill to our apartment and had us settled in very quickly. The pool and sunbed facilities were excellent. There were a few pools to choose from along with a childrens pool which is great for families with small children. The Nostalgia restaurant which is part of the hotel looked very impressive and the food was superb, very reasonable, as are the drinks. The maid service was fantastic and they provided clean towels, toilet rolls, bed linen frequently. Our opinion is that this hotel is the best in the area and looks the most appealing from all the ones that we saw. There is a shop next door where you can pick up all your essentials from bottled water, bread, fruit, toiletries etc. If you feel a bit peckish whilst you are around the pool they have a pool bar which you can order hot or cold snacks from which are served to you very promptly by very friendly members of staff. The location is great for beach lovers, you just come out of the hotel and walk down the winding road situatied opposite, approx 5 mins to the beach with many a bar and restaurant on your way. The hotel is situated on the main road through the town, very little traffic, but because it is on the main road all the bars restaurants, shops etc are along this street. We took a trip into Lindos by taxi which you can pick up from a location point literaly 5mins walk from the hotel. It was only a short drive and we were dropped off in the main square in Lindos which had very picturesque views of the sea. There was a castle you you go and explore and the town was fully of many shops to purchase souveniers and gifts. Along, with some lovely restaurants etc. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay so much so that we are returning in 2008 with our Sons. Our return flight to Gatwick was at 2am which was great because we spent the day at the pool and although we had to leave our rooms we used the showers by the pool to get cleaned up, the hotel manager/owner was so helpful he showed me where I could use my hairdryer! Our suitcases were looked after in the reception area so we didn't have to worry about our belongings and we spent a lovely evening in the adjoining restaurant 'Nostalgia' and the bar before returning to the hotel reception to be picked up by First Choice. To be perfectly honest I do not know why the Pefkos Beach Hotel does not have more stars the accommodation and standard of service is First Class!

Just back from a 14 night stay here on a self catering basis with my husband and children aged 16 and 10. Have stayed in Pefkos and Rhodes many times and this hotel is one of the best. Rooms were fantastic and very clean. Daily maid service and clean towels nearly every day which is something which you don't always get. Reception staff very friendly. Launderete on site for 8 euros and a iron and ironing board. Pool bar not our cup of tea at night as too noisy with kids playing pool, often unsupervised and because we have visited Pefkos before we preferred our old haunts at night time. Only critisism of this hotel was lack of sunbeds and the fact that even at 8am in the morning there were sunbeds with towels on even though often not occupied until late morning! All in all you won't be disappointed if you stay here. Central for everywhere and hotel supermarket is probably the best value for money. Walk to the bakery on the hill is a absolute must, even if you only lavish the wonderful air conditioning for five minutes and buy a 1 euro loaf of gorgeous greek bread. Local beach straight down the road in front of hotel very good but costs 16 euro for four beds so need to budget but nice change from the pool area.
