I`ve been staying at this hotel since 1993 and it still has its family run charm but has got a little to big for me now.
the family are welcoming and friendly and it`s still agood place to stay
but it has got slightly crowded now,but what would you expect from the best hotel in the town.
I will still holiday at this resort but have found a quieter little place.
top resort.

Saw this first as a late choice with Thomsons but went back to book and it had gone. It came up a week or so later on First Choice so it seemed it was meant to be so booked. The flights from Cardiff are awful times so arriving early morning and then walking up a hill may seem off putting but when your bags are whisked off on a scooter it's not that bad. We were in the block half way up. I imagine it may get a bit noisy in the apartments by the pool in high season.
This has to be the cleanest place I have ever stayed - room pool bar toilets, everywhere was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful - I broke a cup went to reception and within 5 minutes another was delivered by the lady who cleaned the room who was lovely and friendly. Had a meal in Nostalgia which was lovely also enjoyed Terpsis.
Went to a pool bar, can't remember name, but it was on the beach road second one up from beach that did lovely crepes. The pool looked lovely too and the toilet was spotless.
Used the local bus to Lindos and Rhodes. 10 minutes to Lindos but 1hour 20 to Rhodes but it would take you that long to drive. Bus was air conditioned and 4.70 each way.
Did the trip to Marmaris which I'm not sure did it any favours at least not for me.
For a relaxing week this was perfect. Only one complaint - a week wasn't long enough to try out all the restaurants.

Absolutely brilliant holiday! Both me and my girlfriend enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel was clean and welcoming and all the staff were extremely friendly especially the bar staff. The large selection of restaurants cater for everyone and is all of high quality. There are various activities around Pefkos including boat trips which were interesting and fun. The waterpark in Faliraki was excellent which I think anybody would enjoy. We highly recommend it!

My husband and I were here in October 2007,our first time in Greece. We booked a last minute bargain. And we were more than happy to find ourselves at Pefkos Beach Apartments. We arrived at around 8pm to be welcomed by a nice gentleman who made us feel at ease. Our apartment was at the top of the hill, but there is a sloping lift which takes you most of the way up.On opening the door to find a lovely apartment all that you need was there. The next morning when I opened the curtains I was amazed at the view it was breathtaking.I would recommend this place to anybody and I have all ready. We hired a car for 3days and went to Rhodes Town, Falaraki and Lindos which is a must and other beaches in the area.We could not fault a thing. The apartment was cleaned 6 days. And the cleaners were very pleasant not very good at the English language but they always had a smile for you.ManyThanks to all at Pefkos Beach hope to see you soon .Carol and Ken Brough.11/10

We were a party of 2 adults and two 14 year old girls. We had 2 studios next to each other right at the top of the hill.
As it was 40 odd degrees we found it hard work going up and down to our rooms but after the first week the outdoor lift sprung into life (it was very hot inside though).
We couldn't fault out studios, probably the best we have ever stayed in, modern and very clean as was the rest of the complex.
We met some nice people at this hotel and the girls made lots of friends too. All the teenagers used to go to Eclipse bar, which now has a large pool (it's is the liveliest bar in Pefkos). Zakis and Michael were fab behind the bar, Costas and all the waiting staff are brilliant and very friendly. We would return to this hotel but not in July/August and only for a week.
Visits to Lindos and Rhodes Old Town are a must, also need to see more than Pefkos which is quite a small resort.

This is the first time I have stayed in self catering apartments and I was really pleased with the standard of hygiene and service at the Pefkos Beach Hotel.
The facilities were excellent and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly The hotel is within walking distance of the main resort and beach, although on a hill so not ideal if you have walking difficulties.
The only negative would be some of the extra charges such as air conditioning and safety deposit boxes. These were more expensive than other resorts I have been to and at in peak season air con would be a must. The attached restaurant Nostalgia was a real negative providing the worst service in the resort whilst at the same time charging the most.
I would recommend eating at Enigma and the attached Pane di Capo cafe which were excellent and affordable. Spitaki was a great traditional restaurant and again provided affordable meals.
The resort of Pefkos was ok and provided you with a large choice of restaurants. The beach was good but I would recommend going to Plakia beach as this was quieter and cleaner.
For trips out, I would recommend Rhodes town but do this independently by the local bus which charges 5 Euros one way. The old town is stunning with a load of bargains!!. Kiotari is another village to visit as this has a great beach and shopping centre. It is a little quiet but again use the local bus for 2Euros.
On the whole a good holiday and the weather was great. I will return but probably for only 1 week.

Firstly may we thank everybody on this site as having read your excellent reviews of this hotel and resort, we went for the first two weeks of May this year and were not disappointed.
Hotel.
The hotel is ideally situated near many bars and restaurants. It has two large pools and a smaller pool (for children). It also has its own supermarket and a restaurant - called Nostalgia plus a snack/pool bar. When we got to the hotel, we found it to be much nicer than we expected - the apartments themselves being spotlessly clean and well stocked for self-catering guests. We were lucky as we had a beautiful view over the bay and it was well worth the money we paid just for that in itself. However, the steps leading up were very strenuous to climb - especially as we had elderly parents with us, although in fairness, we WERE told of them before we booked. The elderly parents were offered a move to a lower room but declined as the views they had were so spectacular and, at the end of the day, they DID manage to enjoy their holiday despite this one negative. There is a stair-lift due to open soon which will alleviate this problem for anyone with walking difficulties and younger people with drinking difficulties(!!).
Although there is little entertainment at the hotel, special mention should go to Michael (behind the bar in the hotel) who's single-handed cabaret is entertainment in itself!!
Cigarettes are cheaper in the hotel supermarket, however, like most other self-catering holiday destinations, essential goods were quite expensive compared to UK prices.
Resort
Whilst there is an excellent choice of bars and restaurants (some having their own pools with sunbeds free of charge), there isn't an awful lot else to do unless, like my 81 year old father, you are brave enough to go up in a 'Microlite flight'. Basically, if you want things to do, you have to go out and find them!! Places we recommend are: Bars. Oasis for superb tasty and inexpensive snacks. Alexandra's for breakfasts, a friendly welcome and their takeaway which they are renowned for - like kebabs, gyros etc. They have just recently had a pool table and internet access added. Special mention to Mike, Alexandra, Tassos and Ria for their tireless attention given to us, enhancing our holiday greatly. Peacocks for an outdoor drink at the lowest prices and friendly owners. The two English owned bars - namely The Geordie Bar (Bambooze) and Buddies Bar.
Restaurants. Nostalgia, Artemis and the Golden Dragon (Chinese) were the three that we used the most, but to be honest, I think you would find wherever you eat, the standards of hygiene and friendliness are all to a high standard.
Beach
The beach has a nice shallow beach, crystal clear water, very calm and inviting and plenty of sunbeds to be had.
Things to do.
Pefkos. Microlite flights (from 50E), boat trips available either to Lindos or an excellent value trip to Navarone Bay where you can have a swim in the sea. Taxi's to Lindos are only 6E.
Lindos. Worth a visit if only to find yourself at the top of the "Acropolis" - either on foot or via Donkey!! However, we found nothing different there than Pefkos had to offer.
Car Hire. On hiring a car for three days, we visited Faliraki which was lovely as the "silly season" had not yet started! We also visited Rhodes Town and would recommend a visit to the Old Town (Turkish Quarter) and to purchase your food and drinks there as it was cheaper than anywhere else. On the third day, we went round the rest of the island and mountains where we found some lovely churches and also the sandbank where you can stand in both oceans at the same time!! i.e. the med and the aegean sea.
In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rhodes and would recommend it to anyone - couples, families and the elderly alike. A lot of the people staying at Pefkos Beach hotel were repeat customers - some of them having stayed as many times as 20+ and we can see why and we will certainly be adding to the list in the future. Finally, due to unsociable insects(!), we had to visit the chemist who you could class as an experience in itself. Very entertaining, very efficient and very different!!! Should you need to visit the chemist, we will let you decide!
Thank you Pefkos! See you again soon.

Absolutely outstanding!
This is our second trip to Rhodes, previously staying in Ixia in a five star hotel, and this place blinded it by a mile!
A modern, clean, and friendly place, where the staff can't do enough for you. Take a bit of extra cash to cover the 55 Euros per week for the aircon, as you will die without it. The breakfast in house is excellent and good value, and we tried a few different places.
Sunbeds are plentiful, the pool is always very clean, and the beach is a short stroll, and is as clear as tap water, with the EU blue flag to prove it.
The resort itself is beautiful, with great places to eat and drink, the Pane Di Capo bar across the street has the best atmosphere of any of the places I have ever visited, with nice comfy sofas outside, and outstanding service, desserts, and sandwiches, and is a nice informal night out.
The most pleasant experience I had while dining out was a tiny rooftop restaurant called Delizia, down the side street where the large little tykes playground is on the main road, you are made to feel very special, and are greeted with a smile, and leave with a hand shake, and a wave, and they do real pan fried chips, not the frozen ones everyone else does.
Georges is also an excellent place for a meal, with good service, and equally good food but is let down by the miserable waiters, who never raise a smile and are very abrupt, other than the one who brings the drinks, he was always up for a wise crack!
The worst meal we had was in the Nostalgia bar above the lower swimming pool bar on the Pefkos beach complex, it looks outstanding, but service was very slow, and the food was not worth waiting for.
In this resort they like their water features and seductive lighting, and you will love it if you like a relaxed laid back holiday with some of the nicest Greek people you will ever meet, I wish I could give it more than ten.
Top notch, absolutely brilliant! The complete package.

We have just come back from the most fantastic holiday in Pefkos, we loved everything about it.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was cleaned 6 days a week and was spotless. Towels were changed on a regular basis too. The air conditioning was a necessity as we arrived in the middle of a heat wave, the only downside being we had to pay for both bedrooms - 220 euros for the fortnight! Mind you, we certainly got our money's worth.
The hotel is superb, the staff are so friendly. The staff in the Palm Bar and also the Pool Bar are so entertaining and very funny! Special mention to Sakis and Mike for making our fortnight so much fun.
We were spoilt for choice for eating out, our favourites were Nostalgia and Enigma. We also discovered Lee Beach which gave us a fantastic view of the sun setting over the beach and the food was very good quality, if a little more pricey than other places. Also, on walking down to the beach there was a little taverna which served extremely cheap breakfasts which set us up for the day.
We travelled with First Choice, however we never made use of the representative there, partly due to the fact that we overslept and missed our welcome meeting. Mind you, 9.30am is a little too early for a welcome meeting. We booked a couple of trips with a local travel company which was situated on the road down to the beach. We had an evening in Rhodes Town which cost 56 euros for 4 of us and we had over 4 hours there. Plenty of shops to browse, although the shops in the new town close at 9.00pm. We also had a trip to the water park in Faliraki. We were very impressed with how clean the park was and also it was quiet when we went, although that may have been to do with it being a changeover day.
We can't wait to go back to Pefkos and will definately do so very soon!

Myself and my wife and son stayed at pefkos beach hotel, this is the best place ever, you wont find a nicer hotel in the area, Pefkos itself is a great little base to explore the island from.
Pefkos is a lovely little place it has some exellent resturants and bars, we are going back for the fifth time on June the 18th, cant wait not long to go.
