Pegasus Suites

My friend and I did extensive research for a hotel in Santorini for a trip to celebrate her 50th birthday. We decided on Pegasus and made a reservation and received written confirmation in early February for a 2 bedroom/2bath room. Upon arrival at the hotel we were shown to 2 different rooms, neither of which were our reserved room. My husband and I stayed for two nights at Pegasus Suites as part of a 2-week yachting trip through the Greek Islands with Poseidon Charters. We were met at the ferry in an air-conditioned taxi and offered a beer by the pool while they finished preparing our room. We stayed at the bottom of the hotel in the room with an outdoor jacuzzi which was very spacious, beautiful and quiet. The breakfast on the balcony overlooking the caldera was wonderful. We spent a week at the Pegasus and would highly reccommend it, with only a small niggle. When we arrived at the hotel (collected from the airport by a complimentary taxi) we were told that our room wasn't available due to 'plumbing problems', i.e they'd double booked us, I'm sure! We were given a small, dark room under the stairs which was, however, clean and comfortable. The staff also told us that we wouldn't have to pay for the first night's accommodation and that we would get an upgrade for the rest of the week at no extra cost.... more

Location is fabulous and although there are a few properties further round with slightly better views if you could look at this view every morning for the rest of your days you would be happy. Would recommend at least a superior studio as standard rooms do not have a view. When we arrived my wife was a little disappointed that there were no sunbeds left by the pool ( only ten in total ) but we did seem to seem to get one any time we wanted to sit by the pool. In the first week of May 2006, 10 of us stayed at Pegasus Suites. We were celebrating a 50th birthday. That it was a special celebration was not lost on the staff who went out of their way to assist us.Our accommodation was excellent, staff were extremely helpful. Rooms were extremely comfortable and very clean. Views of the Caldera priceless, especially each morning when breakfast was served on the terrace. We have just come back from Pegasus suites where we stayed for 4 days. We had room 105 (Junior suite) and my parents had room 107 (2 bedroom apartment). The reason why this hotel doesn't get a 5 star is mainly due to our arrival. We had a overnight flight from London to Athens and then were on the first flight from Athens to Santorini which landed at 7am. This was all communicated to the staff as they had also arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport (tip don't bother with the Hotel taxi as there were taxi's waiting at the airport... more

My husband and I stayed at Pegasus mid-May, 2006. I did lots of research of Santonini hotels to try and decide where to stay, etc. I read all the reviews about this place and felt comfortable with our choice. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. The hotel is exactly as it appears on their website and pictures posted here on this site by other hotel guests. It was in a quiet neighborhood. We stumbled across Pegasus Suits on a website about Santorini and decided to give them a go. From the first contact we made by email for a booking we received friendly, helpful service with a personal touch that you would not get from the major hotel chains. Once we arrived, things just kept getting better. We booked a Junior Suite and expected a modest but nice room with a view and balcony as advertised. We stayed at Pegasus Suites at the begining of October. Really enjoyed ourselves -- we got upgraded to the honeymoon suite since the hotel was overbooked (seems to be a frequent problem). The service was good, as good as you would expect from a small hotel, and the view was fabulous. The honeymoon suite was very nice, with a small living room, basic kitchen with sink and fridge and a nice bedroom and very nice bathroom with jacuzzi. Returned recently from a week-long stay at Pegasus. I had read the reports of overbooking and foolishly assumed that this was a high-season occurance. Wrong!! We booked directly with the hotel months in advance. Upon arrival, Jason informed us that, surprise, suprise, the hotel was overbooked and that some of us would have to stay in another hotel for the night.
