Villa Gaia Hotel

The location of the hotel is very good and the room and bathroom nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast ok. for italian standard. Although we were not extremely happy with the room as the entrance to our room was in the ground floor right beside the reception, so you heard some noise when people were coming home at night. We found the reception staff not very helpful or friendly, all requests were first met with "no, this is not possible". If you hear that several times you start to feel slightly unwelcome. We stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Villa Gaia in October 2006. We were in room # 5, an oceanfront suite with two rooms, modern bathroom, a nice balcony overlooking the front patio of the hotel and the sea. There was a small table, two chairs and two lounge chairs on our balcony. The people at the desk were helpful with suggestions for dinner. Would recommend this hotel if you wished to stay in Cefalu. Hotel is opposite the sandy beach and about 10 mins walk, along the sea front, to the old town of Cefalu. Room was clean and well presented. Staff were friendly. Best rooms are the suites overlooking the sea (we stayed in Room 6).

My husband and I recently stayed at the Villa Gaia Hotel in Cefalu, Sicily. It is a wonderful 4 star hotel, with a great location on the beach and a ten minute walk from the old town. The staff was very good and the breakfast was also very good. The hotel provides all of the modern comforts and wireless internet. The weather was quite warm for September so it was pleasant having the beach location. Cefalu is unique city to explore and it was very crowded, so it was nice to get away from the cars and crowds and stay at Villa Gaia.

My husband and I stayed here from 09/01/06 to 09/03/06 on the basis of the Tripadvisor recommendation. We were not disappointed. It is convenient to the beach (just far away enough so it's quiet at night; free chairs/unmbrella rental at Lideo Poseidon; good buffet spread). 6 of us stayed here at the end of May & had only praise for this great hotel. Super location opposite the beach with free use of sunbeds, loads of lovely restaurants all close by, great rooms & friendly staff.

We booked to stay here for two nights and only just got back on Sunday night. Our room was excellent, clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable bed, modern and clean bathroom. The hotel is a 10 min walk from the station an town. The location is perfect as it by the beach and a short walk from town. The two night stay was not expensive and included breakfast. The breakfast could have included a bigger selection of fruit and juices. Overall a great place to stay. Would def go back.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights during our tour through Italy. An oasis of calm in this very lively city. Right next to the Lungomare with some wonderful restaurants. The suites were fully booked, but our standard room was superb: clean, quiet, reasonably spacious, comfortable bed, modern bathroom. We had not been planning to stay in Cefalu at all originally, but could not find a room on the Cefalu Coast for these 2 nights. How lucky we were ! We will definitely be going back to Cefalu, and will definitely stay at the Gaia Hotel.

Villa Gaia is a great small hotel opposite a fine sandy beach, but only ten minutes walk to the centre of Cefalu. We had a suite, which is well worth the small extra charge, and which had a balcony with great views to the old town,and the sea. Good shower room. The breakfasts on the terrace were a delight, and the staff were very friendly. Only problem was the heat in Sicily at end June- every afternoon between 36 degC. and 40 degC. - makes sightseeing a tough chore, but hotel airconditioning was good.

The Suites in this hotel make you feel like your in a exclusive apartment (room6). The bathroom is one of the best we had encountered. The breakfast was good and you can sit outside overlooking the sea! The only thing that let the hotel down was the swimming pool and surroundings were not in use. It made the hotel look a bit of a slum at the side of the hotel. Apart from that i would recommend this hotel for everything (price, location, views!
