This hotel is far the best we have ever been in. The family rooms are fantastic, loads of room and lots of wardrobe space. Clean towels every day and beds changed 2 or 3 times a week.
The facilities for kids are brilliant. Two big water slides free of charge, a carousel ride, dodgems, bouncy castle, free popcorn and candy floss between 4 and 6 pm. There are freezers around the grounds where the kids can just go and help themselves to ice creams, plus soft drinks pumps so they don’t have to go to the bars.
There is a large football court at the back of the hotel; however it gets very hot here as it is directly in the sun with no shade.
There is a large cinema room with proper cinema seats which show two movies a day for the kids. One at 1pm - 3pm and 8pm - 10pm, we hardly ever saw our kids.
The food was fantastic, from full English breakfast, pancakes, toast, and continental breakfast on a morning, to joints of pork, beef and lamb and much more on an evening plus the fantastic cakes and deserts that they made.
Afternoon lunch was virtually the same every day, spag boll, fish salad chips and pasta. It lacked a burger bar serving burgers and hot dogs; however the food was still good. There is also a wine and lager tap where you can help yourselves.
The beach isn't up to much, very pebbly so take beach shoes. There are also free pedelo’s (2) and canoes for customer use and the sun loungers are also free.
The entertainment on a night was not up to much, they had to say it in 3 different languages which was a bit annoying; however the day time entertainment was quite good.
Outside the hotel was the main road into Faliraki 5 mins in a taxi for 5 Euros, or there was a shopping centre round the corner with a few Greek bars (one with a big screen for the England matches) and a lot of shops.
Everywhere is kept spotless clean; the maids are there all day and night and never stop working. The staff were very polite, none of this rude and arrogant that a lot of people who go all inclusive write about, every member was very friendly and polite and severed you straight away.
This was a fantastic holiday, I would recommend it to anyone, and I have booked to go back next year.

Great hotel and staff, good location but beach not very good for children because of the shingle.
Temperature was about 41 degrees and you had to put your towels on your sunbeds at 3am just to get any shade.
Food was ok but got very repetitive on second week and my 18 month old grandson wouldn’t eat anything.
We wouldn’t go back only because the lack of shade.

We stayed at the Esperides in September 2006 and had the time of our lives. It was our first holiday abroad as my husband was terrified of flying. Not so now!
We've already booked for September 2007 and were going straight back to the Esperides! The hotel is so clean the food is great the weather fantastic, the entertainment first class. We travelled with our two sons aged 8+16.
When we arrived it was 4am we were allocated our room which was in the annexe. It was very clean and much better than we had expected. Fantastic bathroom with a brilliant walk in shower, always plenty of hot water. The room was serviced daily with fresh clean towels and bedding changed.
The food was excellent and plentiful either in the main restaurant or in the pool side taverna.
There was plenty of sunbeds poolside, on the grassed lawns or on the beach although you had to be early to get the best positions. The staff were always polite and helpful.
The animation team work tirelessly always organising games to do and were hilarious.
They provided the evening entertainment which was great but finished too early at 10pm. there is a mini funfair which is free for the younger ones. And two water slides which my kids really enjoyed. Across the road there is a massive water park which we were told was excellent by other guests.

We have just spent a fantastic 2 weeks in one of the best hotels I have ever been to.
Exceptionally clean, the food in the restaurant was great with different themes most nights.
The entertainment was entertaining and my kids had a great time one is 8 and the other 2, what was a good idea is the cinema which played Disney films daily at 1pm ( great to get out of the midday sun) and films for the older children at 8pm.
The pools are very clean and the waterslides are great fun. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Water Park which is a must and also with a bus stop outside every hotel a ride into Rhodes Town is an experience.
We will definitely be returning to Rhodes and The Esperides.

We went as a family group, 6 adults and 6 children. Loads for the kids to do, in fact some days we only saw them at breakfast and bedtime!
Very clean and tidy as beds are changed daily and the cleaners seem to work round the clock. Staff are all pleasant and the animation team were fab. Rhodes town and Lindos are a bus drive away and there is a fantastic water park just a short walk from the hotel.
The only downside for us going in October is that the hotel shut on the 29th, so the entertainment team were gradually leaving for winter jobs, the poolside Taverna closed so lunches were moved to the main dining hall.
However, we didn’t have to worry about getting a sun bed and there was plenty of room at the pool, in the gardens and on the beach as there were about 900 guests which dropped to 350 when we left on the 25th.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a child-free family holiday, although our kids called it an adult free family holiday and would love to go back again.

Fantastic holiday especially for kids. All kids at the hotel said it was their best holiday ever!
Lots for them to do: water flumes, merry-go-round, bouncy castle, dodgems, rock climbing pool,(and all for free!) hotel run kids club, JMC kids club (which nobody went to, took the kids aged 5, but didn't want to go back, were the only ones there, kids rep was quite dour so that maybe the reason!) amusement arcade with bar, beachfront location, (although full of pebbles).
The only down side to the holiday was that there were very few British, mostly Dutch and German.

Lovely hotel and very clean. Excellent facilities and entertainment for families with children, however if you do not have children, like myself found that all entertainment and games etc were aimed at the kids.
It was a race for sun beds every morning in our second week we got very frustrated (we even saw some guests in the bar in the evening with their beach towels ready to put on sun loungers the night before!!)
Great beach very clean, all 3 pools are nice however none of them had a deep end. Food was great although repetitive but good quality, were told they had 'theme nights' for food i.e Italian, Chinese etc, I was there 2 weeks and only saw 1 night with a theme.
Snacks through the day were simply pizza or cheese sandwiches which also got a bit boring, would be better if they alternated fillings or something! Also the bars serve all drinks in paper cups which got a bit annoying.
Reception are all very helpful and the hotels maids are around- it seemed 24 hours mopping and cleaning. Hotel shop very handy and didn’t seem to be any more expensive than the other supermarkets in the area.

Fantastic holiday! We spent two weeks there with our children aged 7 and 12. They had a fantastic time on the water slides and in the numerous pools, in fact they had so much fun we hardly saw them. The Animacion team are fantastic and work hard from 10am till 10.30 pm, the only down side to this hotel was the lack of entertainment after 10.30 pm, there was a mass exodus after the evening show and the remainder of guests (usually British) were left staring into their drinks!
The food was faultless, always good and plenty of choice every day. The staff were helpful and friendly and we could not fault the accommodation which has recently been upgraded and was very comfortable. The weather in August was hot and we did not see a cloud for 2 weeks.
The water sports on the beach were excellent and the sea is excellent for snorkeling (you will need some beach shoes as the beach and sea are quite rocky underfoot, cheap at the hotel supermarket) All in all. a fantastic hotel with excellent family centered facilities. Well worth a visit.

We love to explore Greece and it's islands and go somewhere new every year. But this place really makes you want to go home and book again for next year or even later on the same year. Fantastic! So much to do so little time. You could spend 2 weeks and never see your kids (if that's what you wanted).
They have Dodgem cars, water slides, mini golf, aqua aerobics, football, darts, wacky races, candy floss, popcorn endless drinks the list goes on, and all in the hotel grounds. To top it off it is very clean & tidy, with good food, and helpful staff. Note to Management : 'Whatever you pay the Animation give them more!'.
They made our holiday perfect - they work so hard Paul, Silvio, Lorenzo all of you, we miss you all. Hope you are all still there next year. The shows were amazing better than anything I have ever seen at any Hotel - they work damned hard too rehearsing and preparing, well done guys!
We also met some true friends we will keep for life so it was great all round.
You just need more sun loungers and umbrellas & a bit more variety at meal times.
Book it now, you'll love it!

Excellent hotel - very clean and tidy. The animation team provided entertainment from 10.00am to 10.00pm which we can appreciate is very hard work but very rewarding. The evening shows had us in stitches with so much laughter and fun.
We would have given this 10 out of 10, but felt after day 6, the food was becoming a bit repetitive (although excellent quality - no fault there). Pasta on the menu all the time.
We also found the race for sun beds frustrating - we were often woken up at 6.00am by families rushing by our door, and then looking outside and seeing all the poolside beds taken. Saying that, we always got a good location sun bed on the beach or in the gardens by 10.00am.
Yes, we will be coming back. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Our first trip. The hotel was clean & comfortable, the food was very good - much better than we expected and the staff were friendly. The hotel is right on the beach and has its own loungers on the beach.
The only negative would be that there were no towels or mats provided by the hotel for the loungers. The facilities for kids are is fantastic with a kids club, carousel, bouncy castle, slides and ice creams/popcorn on tap.
Next time we want a family holiday with great facilities to keep the kids entertained, we will certainly be returning, but will probably travel with a different tour operator as Thomas Cook were hopeless all round.

We all had a very good time been going to Rhodes for the last 10 years now the Esperides is clean the maids are fantastic they never stop.
Found the food a bit boring but you could eat it! The animation team, well what can I say the best thing about the hotel, Jonnie, and the team where fantastic! Fire show & the fun, brilliant.
If you are going this year see some of the shows as they will not be there next year, watch out for the chicken!
