Lots to learn...
High technology hotel where you expect to meet Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise walking down the corridor saying "Make it so Number One" but I doubt that Jean-Luc ever had to go back to reception 4 times over 2 days to get his room key re-authorised or got told two days running that he was not allowed into the function that his package included, or had to wait nearly an hour and a half for his luggage to arrive from reception on check in, etc, etc etc. Food was universally average although the staff are all happy and smiley, if... more

This is a unique hotel
I definitely recommend the place and especially during the F1 period - amazing view of the Track!!!
The worst service...
Nice hotel - shame about the servie. From check in to check out i was constantly let down by staff who did not know what they were doing. We paid a fortune for our stay at the Yas, the same price as a Four Seasons hotel and i would expect a similiar level of service, we got nothing. The staff in the restaurant did not the difference between a red and white wine, the food was served to us at different times, we asked three times for airport drop off and we were never called back by concierge, the list goes on and on... Do not stay here - Raw sewage!
I have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels all over the globe and was looking forward to a night in the Yas Hotel prior to a flight to the far East. Sorry to say we were badly let down by this hotel, the service was almost no existent and the room stunk of raw sewage emitting from the toilet cubicle. The smell got worse and worse overnight and in the morning we felt physically sick by being in the room. DO NOT STAY HERE - EMIRATES PALACE OR THE SHANGRI LA ARE MUCH BETTER OPTIONS.

Nice to visit but would not be back to stay!
Having booked the hotel as a suprise for my husband birthday, I was impressed with the ease of the online booking service. On arriving to the hotel we were greeted by the porter who immediately took our luggage and showed us to check in. The check in process was relatively quickly, we were shown to the room and given a full explanation on the room functions. OMG
The hotel itself is like taking a trip into the 23rd century. The room was spacious and very ultra modern. I did take a day to get use to the master remote control that not only worked for the TV but for all of the lighting. The entire staff was friendly and very attentive. My only complaints: they need a better store on the property for periodicals, essentials and snacks. Also the hotel is a 30 minute drive to the center of town so prepare to taxi everywhere. Fantastic Service, Atmosphere and Cocktails!!!
Have been twice since the hotel opened and each time have been to Skylite and Rush. Both bars are unbelievable, great service and great cocktails. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The only slight complaint is there are not enough taxis upon departure, however, the hotel obliged by driving us back to Abu Dhabi in one of their hotel cars. Would definitley recommend for drinks and a bite to eat...!
Very impressive
I was fortunate enough to stay at this new hotel. Obviously still some teething problem, but nothing that cant be sorted out fairly soon. Staff tried very hard to assist with my every request. Food was good, but drinks a little expensive. Still a challenge with the transfers to town. I will certainly be back!
amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
amazing experience indeed, given that the hotel had just opened for one of the most challenging and thrilling events on the globe, the formula one Grand Prix. the food is out of this world and the staff very couteous. the skylight, the bar on the roof is breathtaking. even with Formula one cars roaring under the hotel, it was a pleasant atmospehere in the lobby. definitely a repeat .
Glitz and glamour fails to live up to expectations
You will be dazzled by the surroundings but shocked by the quality of the service. Whether it be Reception, Concierge, Room service, Restaurants the experience is equally attrocious. There are lots of smiling faces and pleasant greetings from the staff but there is very little else behind it.. The rooms are very pleasant but the quality of the finish in some areas leaves something to be desired.
