My wife and I spent seven nights at the Kayana and grew more fond of it every day. The staff nearly adopted us and knew our daily routines perfectly by the end of our stay--big benefit of a small boutique hotel. All the glowing reviews are accurate; the villas are exquisitely designed, service is impeccable and the spa services are probably among the best in Bali(and priced accordingly). when my teen daughters and i were there in feb, we were utterly impressed not only by the villa and its creature comforts but the staff... the staff, truly is an asset to the co.what sets it apart from other properties is that the staff truly deliver. even when they cant straightaway..they take ownership n take a genuine interest in whatever requests we hv..something that cant be faked.the pool,gazebo,butler service(fantastic,as u dont hv to comm with different depts)bfst and high tea served in villa, chauffeur service,spa,etc..its a holiday... more

My partner and I stayed at the Kayana for two nights in December 2008. We thought the property is spotlessly clean and extremely beautiful. We really liked the modern Baliness design of the villas. The layout of our pool villa is very functional and we really liked being able to jump into the pool from the bathroom area. We booked The Kayana last minute over the internet whilst we were already out in Bali and finishing an organised tour. To say that it exceeded our expectations is an understatement. Everything about The Kayana is of a high standard from the hotel design, beautiful contemporary decor to the staff and service. We were wanting a little bit of luxury for our honeymoon and the Kayana definately didn't disappoint! The whole place is immaculate it is only 18 months old which helps but the level of cleanliness was very high. The actual villa was stunning - very private with private pool and we even had a waterfall!! I have stayed at a lot of great properties but none matched this. The plus points: Superb service - friendly, efficient staff who are genuinely happy to help you. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for 2 nights in the Kayana during our Honeymoon trip in Bali, in one of the Deluxe Private Pool villas. The hotel is just beautiful. The villa is private, secluded and so spacious, it felt like being in a house. The private pool was just amazing. Minibar items were complimentary and there were also complimentary afternoon tea. Location is nearby to local attractions - including restaurant and cafes. We arrived without a hotel reservation and checked out several properties before booking a villa at the Kayana. I was hoping to stay closer to the beach but now I think staying at the Kayana is perfect. There is complimentary transportation. So, you can head to the beach or town (just a few minutes by car) then go back "home" to your own luxurious villa. Open in early 2007, the property was immaculate. The experience at the Kayana was wonderful from the time we met the chauffeur at the airport. He was very pleasant and friendly. Was pleasantly surprised to get a welcome snack (delicious nuts), an apple and a chilled drink in the spacious car that was used to pick us. When we arrived at the reception, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Check-in was very smooth.
