Great Every Time
My fiance and I have stayed at the hotel 4 times now and each time was great. The average cost was between $100 - $150 a night and I believe for that price, you get more than value for your money. I recommend paying for the room online, because you get a $30 discount which is significant, especially if your staying for a while. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious and have a good view. The beds are large and comfortable, and one can always call room service for a selection from their 'pillow menu' if the... more
Overpriced!
In one word, expensive! For what you get, it is not worth it. Location: Good for those who like to shop. Many places to eat too. Service: Excellent. Very courteous staff. Facilites: Not much to shout about; ordinary pool; Problem is car parking. You have to share with the mall car park and it is not free. RM5 per entry. If you drop back into the hotel for less than 3 hours, best to pay the mall car park charges (only RM1 on a weekday/RM3 on weekends). Rooms: Only a litter bigger than at Cititel. One of the best new hotel around
Stayed with spouse and young child for 2 nights. Have been very satisfying after bad experience at Boulevard Hotel next door. Attached to The Gardens Mall & Mid Valley Megamall for endless shopping and food. Staff are attentive and polite, breakfast spread is good, rooms are new & clean. Try it now while the price is low and the facilities are new.
Modern, spacious and new but far from the city.
I stayed during the "soft opening" so it was all brand spanking new and there weren't many guests, the gym and pool was not available. Apparently they will eventually have studio, 2 & 3 brm serviced suites. My room was a standard room (very spacious) with king bed and gorgeous bathroom. Buffet breakfast was standard catering to Malaysian, Chinese, Japanese and Western taste buds. I liked the variety of fresh fruit and juices. Adjoined to upscale Gardens Mall which is next to the Mid Valley Mega Mall. Its a quiet location with no night life... more
Nice rooms, otherwise average hotel
I stayed at the Gardens hotel for about 5 nights late Jan 2009. We got a promotional rate on its website, which was quite reasonable. Unfortunately, as with most hotels in Asia these days, full payment was required upfront, and the hotel was singularly unaccomodating with respect to any changes to my booking. We got 2 connecting rooms for our family. The rooms, in particular the bathrooms, are comfortable, spacious and well appointed. The connecting doors are functional but have to be propped open and also block the room halls when... more
Very Good
I have stayed a total of four nights in this property, two in July 08 and two in Nov 08. I hesitate to pen a review due to the fact that the hotel is still in the soft opening mode, the gym is not yet complete and some classes of rooms are not yet ready. However, the deluxe rooms which I stayed in are completely ready although the hotel facilities might not yet be fully complete. The deluxe rooms were available on both occasions that I stayed for the very reasonable rate of about RM300 nett per night, booking directly through the... more
New upscale hotel
I stayed in Gardens in September when I was on a business trip to Kuala Lumpur. I stayed in the standard room for RM 310 nett, without breakfast which I suppose commands this price range for being located in and associated with the Gardens Mall. I did have trouble looking for the hotel as I could not get a taxi from The Sentul station after arriving on the KLIA Express - because of the Buka Puasa hour. I had to take the Komtar train and got off at the Mid-Valley stop (one stop only) and from where I walked on and on with my luggage and... more
Comfortable stay at the Gardens
I stayed at the Gardens for 2 nights in August, on a business trip, and was very pleased overall. Got off to a bad start as the taxi dropped me at the adjoining Gardens shopping mall, but a quick walk through the ground floor of the mall led me to the very elegant entrance to the hotel. Check in was very quick and polite, and my bag was whisked up to my room for me. The city view from the 9th floor was very good, and the room was very comfortable and well-equipped, as was to be expected from a brand new hotel. The bathroom was... more
Not Quite There Yet
We spent one night here to attend an exhibition in KL because the price was a lot cheaper than staying in a comparable 5-star hotel in the city. The hotel was in a 'soft opening period' with only four floors of rooms open and one restaurant, which we knew before we booked. If you can find Mid Valley City, then the hotel is well signed from the approaches. Parking is underground in the public car parks but you are given a voucher by the hotel to pay on exit at the rate of RM5 for 24 hours. The hotel is located in part of the Gardens... more
Average business hotel
Huge bed. Very nice bathroom. Breakfast was crappy. Stayed during the soft opening. Acceptable at MYR290, not more. They were still building the pool, restaurants and etc. Renovation noise was expected.
