Small but great
from OxoLondon
My partner and I stayed in The Five over the Easter holiday period. We regularly come to Paris and have stayed in many different hotels. So how does The Five compare? Yes it is on the edge of the Quartier Latin but the benefit is that it is on a quiet street next to a very nice pastry shop (excellent cakes). Yes, the rooms are small (unless you pay a lot more than this, all hotel rooms in Paris are small) but very nicely decorated, set out and very clean. And all are slightly different. The bed is very comfortable. I loved the lighting...

Special modern hotel in an old Paris
from frufru
Me and boyfriend stayed in this hotel for 4 nights-Room 301-The design of this hotel is especially amazing with the trendy colours, the optical fibres, the area....The room was a bit small but once you’re in there, you don’t really need that much space to appreciate the quality of the decorations as well as most of the items in the room (bed-pillows-towels) Your are simply amazed. The bathroom is also a bit small but created in way that everything has been made to avoid the loss of space. Real good idea, I think. By curiosity, I asked to...

Warm welcome and design
from CatitaLisbon
I usually come to Paris twice or three times a year and the last hotels experiences I had where good but a bit classical. By reading some French news, I’ve seen that a new trendy hotel was opened. I tried it on my own. I found out the rooms were really well designed with a lot of taste. The breakfast, important to me, was just perfect with the French croissants and “pain au chocolate” which were good. I did ask the receptionist Barbara to help me out for a restaurant location in the area and I was surprised to hear she speaks good...

Not good enough
from Geba
We stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights. I will try to add different comments to the ones already mentioned. First of all, we have to put us in the perspective that we paid 200 EUR per night, which is not "that" expensive on Paris standards if you are looking for "styli" rooms. But what is the conclusion then ? When you pay this amount of money, you are starting to enter in a different league, and the service should be compatible with it. When we arrived in our room (the same as the one it appears by the one taken by a...

Below average.
from tucci013
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in late December. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the amenities as well as the customer service. I found the woman at the front desk to be rude, abrupt and generally unhelpful. The room was tiny and the shower barely fit one person and leaked terribly. Additionally, The Five Hotel is in a very remote locaction and not even near the heart of the Latin Quarter. On multiple mornings the fire alarms throughout the entire hotel went off for over an hour because something had burned in the...

nice photos, but deceptive
from jevonroux
i didn't enjoy my stay. 4 nights in this shoe box like room was a bit tight. the photo's are deceptive. the room is really small. i couldn't move in the tiny shower. they say it's located in the latin quarter, but it is more like the outskirts. not in the heart of the latin quarter. i was disappointed with the location and the surrounding vibe. the pillows were no good and the bed not comfortable. my neck was put out by the pillows and i had to get a doctor to sort it out. the hotel staff screwed my laundry request and it took 5 days to...

Lots of hype, but not quite up to par
from Harborn
I agree with the previous write up. We stayed at The Five for 13 nights from Dec 25 until January 7th. As far as being boutique, it is really not at that standard. We stayed in the glimmering room with a balcony. The good: - comfortable bed - good location as far as the Metro and train station go - reasonable staff - quiet street - new and currently clean The bad: - small room and a shower that is smaller than a phone booth (and not the London red booth either) - hotel ran out of shampoo 4 days...

Just not quite there
from camer00n
We stayed in the 'superior shimmering balcony room' which was very unique, with amazing canopy of white lights. Bed was comfy, room was quiet, nice design overall if very very small. Friendly and helpful staff and good-ish location - not exactly in the heart of things, but quite close by. Don't forget to bring a map if you're staying because the road it's on isn't on most Parisien maps! Just lacked a little something on the finishing touches. The towels were like the sort of thing you'd get at a hostel or a Polish sports centre - tiny,...

Wonderful Experience
from bourets
This is a great and unique place to stay in Paris. This trendy and relatively inexpensive hotel (Paris' standard) provides comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. In addition, the staff is very friendly and professional, which is uncommon in Paris. The hotel is also ideally located nearby the Mouffetard street and few block from metro stations. It feels like staying in a 4 stars hotel!
A lovely place to Stay in
from Yumi333
There are plenty of hotels and a big variety of choice. U can always find a place u like without any difficulties. However sometimes u stay in hotels where u wanna come again and again. "The Five hotel" is a place like that to me. To tell the truth i was impressed by its design, i've been to many hotels, and this one doesn't go in a comparison with the others. It's kind of unique. I stayed there only for 3 days, but i enjoyed myself being there. The rooms are small but the inside room design makes the impression that rooms are large....
