" This hotel exceeded our expectations... "

This hotel exceeded our expectations and continued to excel throughout our stay, friendly staff, very clean rooms, good food.
Down side, slightly noisy at the front or the hotel, some sort of pump running, which distracted from another wise very peaceful balcony retreat. Luggage room a little too small.

We booked into the Dionysos after having had a bad experience in another hotel, the service we received at the Dionysus was a great antidote: the staff were really hard working, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel has pretty good facilities but the important thing was that they were really well maintained and were constantly being cleaned.
The hotel bars and restaurants offer good value for money and are actually cheaper than lots of surrounding restaurants and bars, next time we go to Greece we will look at other Aegean Hotels.

Ixia does not offer the best beach its coarse sand and pebbles may not be particularly comfortable on the feet, but the people are very welcoming, and on the whole the food in the countless number of restaurants is good.
I can recommend The Olympic near the very north end of Ixia ,Yanos works very hard to provide home make food and a fantastic complementary cocktail 7.5/10, the Ideal cafe good lunch time venue (near to the Hilton) 8/10 and Platoons (I think that’s what it's called) for evening dinner in the main southern end 9/10.
Cosmos well they are the only British tour operator to go to the Dionysos. We felt they did not really try hard enough when it mattered. Our party of 11, aged 25 - 50, were into doing our own thing and with 6 of us windsurfing every day our boards hired in advance with surfline Rhodes , we said to the rep that we would probably not be around for the meetings, with the sort of heat out there you need to up and out in the morning plus wasted time when is windy is a crime, so when we needed to contact the rep, when one of us became very ill with a throat infection, we couldn't we relied totally on the reception staff to contact the doctors, they were far more concerned the rep never even tried to see us or make contact with us 0/10.
