Unmodern with incompetent staff
The place is far away from the center of the city, close to the beach. The hotel is unmodern, my room was clean, but the window opened to a busy street with a building site. The English of some staff members was poor. They were not very helpful. No minibar, no service,a kitchenette with a broken down refrigator and some poor bags of horrible tea - I left the hotel the next day as I did not want to stay there. Oh - and bring your own soap!
Good value for money on the beach of Tel Aviv
We stayed in Tal Hotel for two nights in Mid March 2008. The hotel is located at the northern part of HaYarkon street, by the beach in Tel Aviv. It is not close to all of the other main hotels in Tel Aviv but its location has two advantages: It has a beautiful beach less than 5 minutes walking distance and it is by the new Tel Aviv port area which offers shops, caffes and restaurants to hang out. The disadvantage of the location is that it is on a main street that may be noisy and that parking is very limited (although I do not... more
we felt at home
I want to thank Tal Hotel staff for the wonderful job they did accommodating our recent delegation while we were in Tel-Aviv. The new rooms were very nice and comfortable. Most importantly the staff is amazing. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Pressman Los Angeles Academy's exchange with the Magen school (sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, Tel Aviv partnership) was filled with a variety of activities ranging from the educational to the entertaining. Having Tal hotel as a home-base is... more
Unmodern lower middle-class hotel
Tal Hotel is situated at the end of haYarkon street in Nothern Tel Aviv. It takes something about 20-30 minutes to walk to city centre (Dizengoff, Allenby, King George streets). There is no comfortable civilized beach near the hotel. On the other hand , Tal located in 7-10 minutes walk to Park Hayarkon (Yehoshua Gardens) along the Yarkon River. A wonderful place for outdoor sports and activities! Briefly, Tal is unmodern lower middle-class hotel with good, but not remarkable kitchen.
Avoid this place
The hotel is very old, not so clean, very noisy and expensive.... Only nice point is the fairly decent breakfast for a 3 star hotel
Stay Away!
We booked this hotel for a family trip and when we arrived, we were so upset. While we were pulling up in the taxi, you could already tell it was going to be a disaster -- the window tinting was peeling off of the windows, the building looked very old and run-down, and the hotel was in need of a serious paint job. When we got inside, things didn't change -- the elevator seemed ancient, and then there were the rooms. Oh yes...the "newly remodeled" rooms according to the Atlas Hotels website. Maybe "newly remodeled" means sometime in the... more
I was so sceptic and it was real surprise
I booked this hotels in the Atlas Hotels chain site... The rate was acceptable and I booked it for 5 nights. You know - it was really surprise for me to find out : 1. Friendly staff! 2. Great breakfast!!! (even pancakes, pies, all kinds of omelets-on request and free of charge), light products corner, several kinds of tea blends etc ... 3. WI-FI connection to the Internet in the lobby and in my room - absolutely FREE!!! 4. Coffee corner with water kettle in my room and also there was a little refrigerator...<br... more
The hotel who cares for the guest
Tal Hotel in Tel Aviv is our favorit hotel . We have stayed there 2-3 times a year for three weeks period during the last four years. We like the very good service You get there and the really nice staff. The hotel is very central situated and You can reach all the central places in no time. It is very near to a wonderful beach ( only about 100 meters). The rooms are quite excellent and in the restaurant You get a beautiful and good breakfast in the morning. The hotel gives You the feeling to be at home. (it is a real family hotel). We can... more
A Complete Sham & Utter Dump
My wife and I stayed at the Tal Hotel in August 2005 as part of a larger group getting together for a wedding outside of Tel Aviv. The Tal Hotel was suggested by the bridal party for all of their guests. At a price of roughly $100/night (hotels in Israel tend to price in US dollars, not shekels), it was comparable to many other moderately priced hotels near the beach. We considered staying at the SeaNet hotel, which is relatively close by and was slightly cheaper, since that was a very new hotel that we enjoyed in October 2004. Instead,... more
Close to the beach, but seedy, noisy, drab and dim
My husband and I stayed at the Tal Hotel for one night. We wanted to be in the vicinity of the Hilton, but not pay Hilton's exhorbitant rates. The Tal Hotel was located one block from the beach--and that's the ONLY good thing I can report. Other than that, the parking garage was filthy and there is no access from the garage to the building's entrance (you have to walk outside and around to the front of the building shlepping all your suitcases, bags, etc). The lobby was dark, with a musty smell. The room was depressing: has a small TV... more
