Great resort - only one bad point
Overall the Tahiti Village was an amazing "Wedding/Honeymoon" getaway! We had a great 5night stay and everything was great until checkout. The girls at the front desk are not the friendliest people. Checking in was with a different girl than what checked us out, but neither were very friendly. The girl that checked us out informed us about 2 movie rentals we owed for, however, we only rented one. The time of the rental that we did NOT get was at 4:30 in the afternoon and we KNOW we did not rent that movie. Of course after trying to explain... more
Be very careful!
There is potential for this to be a great resort. There are a lot of pluses, but just a few negative things can make this place not worth staying at. This is primarily a timeshare resort, which can be a good thing (kitchens in each room) and a bad thing (sales people in every corner). We stayed here for a week, 5/6-5/13/07. The pluses- great pool for kids, “Red Rock” tour available on several days- you just pay to enter the park, a mini breakfast (muffins and juice), a shuttle that takes you to and from the strip. The negatives-... more
Tahiti Village...DON'T DO THE TOUR!!!
My husband responded to the Radio Ad for a free stay at a hotel on the Vegas strip; in exchange we had to do a 90-minute tour of Tahiti Village. The promise of a free hotel stay was not the reason why we wanted to go; we were truly interested in purchasing a time-share. Our stay was to be at the "fabulous" New Frontier hotel, located right on the Vegas strip. Our stay at the hotel was less than pleasant; after flying across the country we wanted to shower upon our arrival before going out. When we found out that there was no hot water in... more
Tahiti Village is great
I called in on the radio advertisment i heard! I was a bit unsure about what I was about to get myself into. It turned out to be a great second hooney moon, if you know what I mean. The hotel accomadations were okay and it was more than I thought when i booked my reservation. I love Las Vegas and to get to spend three nights all at the expense of Consolidated Resorts was great. I sat through the two hour tour and just said, "NO," they left me alone and my wife and I had a great time in Vegas! It sounds to me that there are a few bitter... more
Great Stay at Tahiti Village
Visited the resort back in February (2/10 - 2/17). Check-in went very smoothly. There were 2 adults and 1 child (10) and we stayed in a smaller one bedroom unit. We were very happy with the accommodations. Unit had a combo kitchen/livingroom set up along with a nice size bathroom and fairly large bedroom. Unit would work well for 2 adults and 2 kids. The resort is located just south of the airport so it is not in the main "strip area". Although we only used the shuttle a few times the service was very friendly and on time. The pool area is... more
Do Not take the Tahiti Village Tour
DON'T TAKE THEIR TOUR, THE AD IS A LIE. We picked Circus Circus for our Hotel. The bathroom wall had a hole in it, and the floor in front of the closet was wet. When we called Tahiti village we were told it would cost us about 200.00 to change hotels. The great show on the strip that was promised was some backroom comedy show of no names. When we went to listen to the sales pitch, they kept telling us that if we sign up we will get all these free trips. NO YOU DON'T. You have to pay for either the Room or the... more
Hold you nose!!!
My girlfriend and I stayed at Tahiti Village. (April 1- April 8) The check-in went smoothly and our room location was great. Room 2611 to be exact. ( Or so we thought-- Much more on this later.) We had a view of the pool and the strip. (The heart of the strip is about 4 miles away) The strengths of the one bedroom Bora Bora unit include 1.) A first class bathroom- whirlpool tub and steamshower and his' and her' sinks. 2.) Full Kitchen 3.) Nice and comfortable King size bed. 4.) 42 inch plasma TV in bedroom. The... more
Thumbs up for tahiti village!!
Just returned from a week (4/4-4/11) at Tahiti Village. After reading some not so positive reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. We had a 2 bedroom unit - it was huge with 4 TV's and 2 beautlfully appointed bathrooms with jacuzzi and steam shower. Everything was clean and pool area was spread out. Location is not right in the hustle bustle of the strip which we liked. Shuttle service to strip was every 1/2 hour and reliable. Food at adjoining restaurant (Tahiti Joe's) was Polynesian style and delicious. Staff was friendly. Would... more
Enjoyed Tahiti Village Resort, Las Vegas
My husband and I with our two kids just returned from a week vacation at the Tahiti Village Resort in Las Vegas. Let me just say that our two children did not want to leave. The weather was awesome. Everything was pleasant from when we checked-in thru checked-out. We were greeted and assisted right away. We had a large 1 bedroom (Bora Bora) unit, which was very nice and spacious for 4 people, granite countertops and in the bathroom, full kitchen and regular TV with dvd in the living room and huge plasma with dvd in the master BR.... more
Call Me Picky
Okay, I am picky but....How on earth can a resort call itself top of the line without internet access???? The website says free wifi in the lobby. Not so here. You want the internet in your room, you can have it...for $11/day. That’s right per day. Oh, so you forgot your laptop. That's fine. Its only $.50/min. in the business center. Yes, you read right, fifty cents per minute. If the website would just say "we will shake you down to use the internet," I wouldn't be mad. However, it did (at least admittedly by the staff) say so a few... more
