Staybridge Suites Times Square - New York City

We checked in at noon and expected just to hand over our luggage. The front desk was most helpful and was able to put us in our room right away. Both Andy and Sunny (the bellmen) were extremely helpful.

we had a week staying at the Staybridge suites, TImes Square. warm welcome, and useful staff. Great location, handy for times square and subway. room was lovely and super comfy bed. great breakfast in nice light and airy room and plenty big enough. Wifi, free clothes washing.drying facilities to use, as well as gym if you wanted. would go again and reccomend to others.

Not as good as you'd expect; convinient rooms & location but service must be improved, completely

We had a studio suit and it was very confortable. the room is not large but big enough. The breakfast was ok but the breakfast room is small, way too small. The location is ok but the street of the hotel itself is right on port authority so not the most interesting one.

Good sized room with very comfy bed and soft towels. While we didn't need the cooking facilities was nice to have full size refrigerator to keep drinks and water cold. Nice to wake up to daily free breakfast and come back to weekday evening reception before heading out to a show. Location one block from subway entrance a big plus despite the block being a little seedy (With 2 other hotels next door and having read about this in other reviews, I was not surprised and did feel safe). This is simply a great hotel. It is what more expensive hotels should be...more substance and less fluff. The hotel is cleanly laid out and decorated. Utilitarian with enough design to please. Staff was outstanding. Patient, pleasant and helpful. And this was during the frenzy of the canceled flights from the Iceland volcano eruption...it was busy. This is a great hotel. We had two studio suites with two double beds. We were with our three children in the age 19, 16 and 12. The kitchen was fully equipped. Only backset was that the rooms were not isolated that well so you could hear people walking and talking on the corridor. After arrival from JFK take the E-train and step out at the station 40th West Street Port Authority Bus Terminal. It's only about 300 meters from the exit 40th Street SW. We stayed at the Staybridge for a week in April. We thought it was that good we decided to come back and stay for a couple of day on our return trip through New York. Firstly, the beds are THE most comfortable we have ever slept in, absolutely wonderful. Tthe staff were very friendly, helpful with dining and tourist suggestions. The proximity to 42nd St Subway and Times Square are a big bonus. Lastly, having a big cooked breakfast to start your day before going out and exploring all day is exceptional.

Srtanded in NYC by the volcano and our cruise company, fell upon this hotel by chance when trying to book a room in Manhattan...Booked 4 rooms on behalf of fellow passengers and therefore felt responsible for where we would end up. I was thrilled with the outcome... My husband and I recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites for two nights and were extremely pleased with the hotel. The room was excellent and spotlessly clean (as was the whole hotel). The staff, without exception, went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful - I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel with such a welcoming atmosphere. The surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired but was never a problem and the hotel is so close to the theatre district and Times Square that it makes up for the slightly down market... more
