Rated hotel 9 but if resort included would reduce overall mark to 6. First downside. There is little to do in the resort, a few shops, restaurants, bars mostly quite a walk away. Hotel 50mtrs from pebbly beach, nothing much there but dip in the sea makes refreshing change... more

YASOU TO ALL AT ATLANTICA PRINCESS from Marian, Mark and Alex Stacey.
Been 3 times now and we always say we will try another Greek island next time, but end up feeling homesick for this place....... Love it, love the staff, love Rhodes, love the weather, etc. etc. Hi to our friend Aggelos and staff at Atlantica who made us feel at home again. Hi to Nikos, who provides us with a fab car deal every time we come (dont go anywhere else for your car hire cos he provides the best price and service). Hi to Sam at Samourakis Savvas jewellery shop in Rhodes town for best prices - he always remembers us too. There are lots of things/places we could tell you about, but that would spoil the fun so - say hi to Aggelos, buy some jewellery from Sam, get a pitta bread meal opposite his shop (yum), hire your car from Nikos, and go off into the mountains and explore! :)
Amazing Greece
Best holiday eva!! After a few days all the waiters knew your order and room number by heart, all the bar staff were pleasant, especially alexandros - my fav! Me and my mate cant wait to go back there next year! Miss it already!! The lepricorn is coming back too:>
well! what can i say!!! FANTASTIC in a nut shell.
like i said, in a nut shell, fantastic hotel, fantastic resort, got it yet!! FANTASTIC. me, my wife and two kids went to stay at the atlantica hotel in ixia as my sister inlaw was getting married nearby. On arrival, the hotel was far better than we could ever imagine, the staff are so friendly and will go miles out of there way to help you. allthough we went self catering, we did eat in the hotel on a few occassions, and the food was goooood! one price as much as you can eat, you simply cant beat that. The room was massive, upstairs and down stairs, plenty of room, two balconys!! i didnt expect that. Hotel cleanliness was perfect. RECCOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
excellent hotel group - see you again
travelled to the atlantica princess late august/early september 2004. booked self catering only as we have three children which leaves options very limited. had a two storey apartment within the main hotel block. excellent room, immaculately clean. tried a couple of local restaurants but decided to take the special offer of 7 days half board - 14 euros per adult, 1/2 price for children. food in hotel was the best we have ever had in 20 years of travelling around the world. excellent choice and variety. big note - gentlemen must wear long trousers in restaurant - not even smart 3/4 allowed - very efficient and on the ball manager. thought we would try all inclusive upgrade but changed our mind because of our small children. local shops sell cheap sandwiches etc. first choice childrens reps excellent but evening entetainment leaves something to be desired (unless you like generation games etc.) Good bar in Ixia - Alonkis (reps use ask them where it is) and if you turn left from hotel the two friends bar is good for drinks - 3 Euros lovely cocktails and free pool table for the kids, hired a car - Tsambiki beach well worth a visit. Looking forward to trying another atlantica group hotel - maybe cyprus another year.
what can i say? excellent!
well what can i say? this was the most memorable holiday i have ever been on. this was my first time at the Atlantica Princess and i hope it wont be my last. I came here mid- August and one thing i was happy about was the amount of kids my age that were there. The hotel is deffinately for familys with children as it is a very lively atmosphere. My first impressions of the hotel were good and they stayed with me for the whole of the holiday. The place is spotless and the way the hotel is run is fantastic. the shops and restaurants are near by so if you dont want to eat at the hotel one night you can always go down the road to eat. One thing that will always stand out in my mind is how friendly the staff are towards you i don't ever remember a holiday where i have said goodbye to the waiters! the bar staff at night are excellent aswell especially my favourite waiter that i got drinks off most nights which was alexandros who i think looks like chris tait out of emmerdale he was brill! and nicholas was very helpful aswell. theres lots do do there and you never get bored. to anyone that is going there you will have a fantastic time and i hope you all enjoy yourselfs!
Mixed Feelings
My partner, daughter and I arrived at the hotel full of expectation having read positive reviews about the hotel. We had booked one of the hotel's one bedroomed apartments in the garden complex. The accommodation was however disappointing being rather cramped with a divider separating the sleeping area from the living space (later found out that we had been placed in a studio apt). We also had to suffer no air conditioning for 5 days. This hotel caters predominately for all-iclusive guests, who really can't complain about bad service at the bar, as they are more interested in quantity rather than quality. For us, we paid premium prices for poorly presented low quality drinks, quite often short measures!. Be prepared to entertain yourself, as the amateurish evening shows all rely on audience participation. We did, however, enjoy our stay in the resort and visited many interesting places across this beautiful island. Quite disturbing to find many local pubs and restaurants are struggling to remain in business, as a consequence of the many hotels which offer "all-iclusive" where guests dare not spend any money outwith their hotel. In conclusion, this hotel is more geared for the all-inclusive guest.
Fantastic! From Mr Atlantica's other half 14th - 28th Aug -4
Well, what can I say. I arrived back in Ireland on Sunday 29th August, and I'm getting terrible withdrawal syptoms already. The hotel itself was spotless and the food was great. I would deffinately go back to an Atlantica hotel (might try Cyprus next year). However, I would almost certainly book the all inclusive direct with the hotel next time, as you don't have to book for the full 14 days, and I like to go out and about sometimes for dinner, and the all inclusive restricted us. If you have young children, this is the holiday for you, as there is so much for kids of all ages to do. The bar and waiting staff were great too, Alexandrous, George, Pan something or 4 x 4 as Alex calls him. The First Choice staff were excellent, and made us feel that we were the most important guests of all. Hi to Racy Tracy, Jelly Bean John, Helen (who without her persusion, I would never have gone diving, which was the best experience ever, Graham, Jo and all the rest of the 1st Choice gang, and definately not forgetting YoYo, the Atlantica's entertainer, they all made it a holiday to remember. Thanks to you all for the memories. I would highly reccomend this resort, especially for young families! Pam, Ian, Karen, Roy, Charlotte, Dympna, April & Adam.
An excellent family holiday!!
Hey!i have recently returned from a 2 week break here with my dad and sister in july.It was amazing the food was great and the hotel was spotless and the weather made it even better, While i was there i saw a lad and his name was steve he had a sister as well and i didnt get his number and i would really like it if he could get in contact with me as this would make my holiday a great one to remember! But apart from that overall the holiday was excellent a very relaxing one and i also got a really good tan!
loved the entertainment
just arrived back from a fantastic family holiday at Atlantica Princess Hotel. The hotel was spotless and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Both daytime and evening entertainment was excellent with team of Racy Tracey, Jelly-Bean John, Yoyo and Super-Sam all working so hard to ensure all guests had a good time. Adults had the option to join in all activities if they wished but were never pushed, and the children had a whale of a time. Well done guys your efforts were superb - would love to find you next year wherever you happen to be!
Second trip, loved it again
This was our second trip to Atlantica princess and we loved it again. The whole hotel throughout is immaculate with marble walls and floors in reception and friendly staff. We had a one bedroom apartment, but this was as big as some houses back home. Our dining room/kitchenette/bedroom had a balcony over looking the lovely pool and the mountains, while our three children had a very spacious down stairs room with another balcony over looking Rhodes town and the Turkish coast, stunning. At night, the entertainment was good and the bar staff were great, especially Alexandros ( befriend him and he will keep you topped up all night ) who looks a bit like Michael Schumacher and Chris Tate from Emmerale. Early evening we ate out as we went self catering as our three young children are so fussy. We went to Zorbas up the road a bit and they were so friendly and loved our children. The local supermarket stocks almost everthing you can think of. Back in the hotel, First choice have a rep ( Kelly ) that teaches swimming in the pool and our little girl who was once terrified of the water can now swim a couple of metres on her own, ( it may not seem much but Kelly gave her confidence and trust that she didnt seem to have with us) she received a certificate on stage at night and I dont know who was more proud, us or her. This is definately the best hotel that we have stayed in and we all want to go again one day.
