Siam Bayview Hotel

The hotel has a nice open reception area and two snooker tables in the bar. That's the best I can say about this hotel. We cut our stay short because we didn't like Pattaya or the location of the hotel. Lots of prostitutes at this side of Pattaya. The beach was dirty and we saw small maggots in the water... This was a hotel booked by work. I was given a park view room. The recption area is nice and the staff are receptive. The guys in unifrom give you a salute and welcoming. The website gives a lovely picture of the bed. However it fails to show the outdated yellow tiles and the yellow-green colour scheme in the bathroom. I was not on holiday but on business. The hotel is a nice , covenient and elegant, The location is excellent , approach from the beach road as well as the 2nd road which makes is accessible. The rooms are spacious, though i did not get the bay view. Clean hotel, except for the one let down by the housekeeping , they did not do up the room even when i placed a card outside my room. Having done no research on Pattaya we arrived a little shocked from our drive to the hotel with our kids & our golfing group late on a Saturday night. The amount of bars and women looking for men in Pattaya is unfortunately staggering. Our family had two interconnecting rooms booked overlooking the bay which gave spectacular sunset views. The rooms although clean, are in need of a renovation as looked rather tired & worn. This hotel is in an excellent location. The breakfast was superb and open unti eleven in the morning which was great if you had a late night. The staff were generally excellent . The garden wing rooms are a bit small and poorly lit also we had asked for a double bed and a balcony but were given singles however they arranged for the beds to be moved together. When travelling with small children (ages 2, 5 & 7). It was important to have interconnecting rooms to allow us some space. This was excellent but the booking website said it had a kids club but this was not the case, which was disappointing. Our party of eight booked three rooms ( 2 triple and 1 twin) for 2 nights from 15 - 17 sep 06. we arrived at the hotel at about 12.30 and were made to wait about 45 mins for our rooms to be ready. but considerig that the official chek in time is 2 pm, we cant really gripe about this. we were given rooms in the 'garden' wing. and this is just about my only area of criticism. one of our members had previously stayed at this hotel and was given a room in the 'tower' wing, which was considerably larger. as were going to be needing... more

Clean and bright with cheerful helpful staff. Loved the idea of one pool for families and one for adults only – it made for a very peaceful holiday. Good location for all the local bars and the beach. If only they had a sports channel on the TV it would have been perfect.

Myself my wife and 3 daughters stayed here in June 2005. 4th time in Thailand. Breakfast buffet was excellent for my children had many choices. The staff did a excellent job looking after us,and when ever we had a problem there was someone there to help no matter what time it was. Will return to Siam Bayveiw in March 2006. I had stayed with Siam Bay View in June 2005. Only one word horrible. I will like to suggest that please avoid the hotel. The staff is too bad for a hotel. The housekeeping was bad and room service was even worse. I had asked for room cleaning around 5:00 and the reception staff said that the policy of hotel is that room can be cleaned only in morning and any additional cleaning will cost 500 bhat.
