My son and I have just returned from a week's holiday at the Seaview Hotel and had a lovely time. Yes, the hotel is a little dated in some areas, decor mainly, but the position of the hotel - opposite the seafront, the beautiful pool area, and the helpful and friendly... more

Great wee place to stay
Wife and I were there on the 1st week in May 2008 and we had a great time. We both work in London in 4* Hotels so know what we are talking about. This place is fantastic. It was clean, friendly and great value for money. We were on bed and breakfast rate which is basic i must add but adequate. We ate in the restraunt on the first night and the meal was amazing 10:50 Euros(about £8:00 each) for four courses was great value and the food was excellent too, so we ate ther for four nights of our stay. Watch out for the... more
Would We Use The Seaview Again?
I would not normally write a review about hotels, I don't usually find them useful - either glowing and found to be bad or bad and found to be just to my taste. However, the Seaview, we found, is worthy of comment! Would we stay there again? The answer has to be an emphatic no. Was it dirty? No. The room was cleaned on a daily basis with clean towels everyday, not always the right number though - two hand towels and a bath mat for two is not comfortable for showering! The room was very basic and dated. The hotel is undergoing... more
Good Bar
We stayed at this hotel in November 07, it did seem to cater more for the older client group. The room we were given had a great view over looking the bay, but the room its self was in need of decorating and the curtains were dirty and full of holes. my bed was about 1 foot away from the toilet (not nice) one good thing about the room was the shower as long as you didnt look at the dirt on the sliding door, the water was very very hot(possibly too hot). i am a veggie and when i told the waiter he offered me a ham salad! i did not rate the... more
Not for us!!!
This hotel is in urgent need of refurbishing which I understand is due to happen early next year (2008) and not a moment too soon in my opinion! The whole place is shabby and on the upper floors the smell of smoke is awful, the plaster/paint on the walls in the corridors was flaking off and were covered in dirty marks, very few pictures. The room was very basic (but clean enough), balcony tiny, shower head sprayed in all directions, awful draught through bathroom window, curtains ripped with the linings hanging off. Evening meals were... more
Great View
We have just returned from Malta after staying for 9 nights at this hotel which is a 3 star. Unfortunately we did have some glitches but nothing too major. We arrived late in the evening only to be told that our sea view room was still in use by another couple. The staff had obviously got their wires crossed as to the dates we were arriving and the dates the other couple were leaving. We weren't too bothered as it was late and all we wanted to do was go out for a meal then go back to get some sleep. There was a karaoke going... more
We'll be back..........
Can't wait for next year. As long as the "Sea View" is there it'll be an annual trip. Marvellous value for money in this day and age. OK it's showing it's age but the good points far outweigh the bad. Let's start with the bad - rooms don't have air-con, just a 3 speed oscillating fan; the shower in our room was a hand-held one but it served it's purpose; the TV was stuck on "Child-Lock" so that set became someone else's problem after a couple of days; locals can use the pool on a weekend (apparently an "unwritten" law) so peace and quiet... more
Cheap and Cheerful!
OK, its not the Ritz, but its a clean bed to sleep on, some hot water and some friendly staff thrown in. I would say this Hotel/Resort is probably oriented for the older generation without being rude. We are in our 20's and we were looking for a relaxing holiday in Sunny Malta, and i have to say the hotel didnt quite meet our expectations on the aesthetic front. It has to be said though, the staff were great, and we were well looked after, you can see that alot of the guests staying there have been before and quite probably meet... more
Avoid at ALL COSTS!
We booked this hotel about a week before we went via Mercury Direct. After a great flight with Air Malta, we got to the hotel at 3.30am last Weds morning, tired and ready for bed. However, upon entering the room we realised we were not going to get much sleep. Sadly, this hotel has seen much better days and is shabby, dark and smells musty and old. The outdoor pool is barely bigger than a large size garden pond and the terrace was nothing to shout about. The balcony attached to our room was literally wide enough to fit one plastic... more
A really friendly place...
This is a lovely though modest hotel, and without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. In relation to the price we paid the accommodation and food were excellent. Breakfast consisted of basic continental style (though you could eat as much as you wanted, and there was the option of paying just 1 lira for a cooked breakfast) but the 3-course dinner was invariably appetising and satisfying, with waiter service. Our room was clean and spacious, despite the economy nature of our booking. The only downside was a rather 1950s... more
Excellent Location!
Accommodation was basic (fan held together by a bit of string) but it was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony right over looking the beautiful Med and it was heavenly sitting there with a glass of wine and watching the sunset. We were near to all the local bars restaurants and bus routes so we never had to worry about travelling far to get anywhere. The food was perfectly adequate although not to al a carte standards but then what do you expect from a 3 star hotel. The staff were freindly and helpful especially when I left the... more
