Sandos San Blas Hotel Reserva Ambiental & Golf

This is a big hotel, 300+ rooms. When we stayed there must have been no more that 60 people staying so it was very quite. There are abou5 salt water pools with plenty of sunbeds and lots of room. Someday my wife and I actually had a whole pool to ourselves. The rooms are nice an big with large comfy beds and the bathrooms are very nicely appointed. We walked into this hotel and booked in for the final 3 nights of our holiday after slumming it in a supposedly 4* hotel in Costa Adeje (it was more like a 2/3*). We are so glad we did. The San Blas is an amazing place. I just couldn't get over the rooms when I walked in, we had two rooms with connecting doors for the kids (13 & 8). Absolutely Luxury. we stayed in room 267 for one week from 16th march. as with other reviews overall is definately five star and hotel achieves eco status as well - it is sloped down over four levels and blends in perfectly unlike the vincinni golf which is now a blot on the landscape. service from check-in to leaving is first class without being all over you. rooms are cleaned to an exceptionally high standard and you are asked daily if you are satisfied. pool areas/sunbeds/facilities are also good. we went half board and as stated... more

It's not often nowadays you get the 5 star wow factor at the same time as tremendous value for money. This does it. More or less everything is faultless. Al the facilities are immaculately maintained by unbelievably friendly and courteous staff. If you want a bit of luxury, peace and quiet while feeling like treated like royalty this is it. We received a glass of champagne on our arrival, and it all went uphill from there! The hotel is still ramping up to full operation/capacity (launching fully in May 2009 I believe?), so is quiet. There was definitely no problem getting a well located sun lounger by the pool, or even one of the "love seats". Most of the times a hotel is nice or great, but not perfect. San Blas reserva is not perfect too, but comes awfully close! Great looking resort, spacious, nice rooms, friendly staff, great nature surrounding it, good facilities, great restaurant, more then enough pools and design chairs. The only problem we had was to leave after only one week in this place!

Have you ever wondered how royals experience holidays? Well, San Blas gives you the opportunity to come close. The hotel only recently opened its doors (December 2008) and as a consequence the hotel is not yet fully booked. When we stayed there during the beginning of March, there were only 20 to 30 guests which combined with the very spacious grounds and different spots to hide away, gives you an unvaluable feel of exclusivity (compare this to other hotels with 200 people packed around a pool). This is a brand new hotel (opened in December) and could be said to be undertaking a soft opening. Most (but not all) the facilities are completed, however there are very few guests. There was evidence of marketing to the travel trade during the weekend of our stay. Overall these means the attention of the staff is outstanding and the are both extremely friendly and very efficient. They are also very well trained. As this hotel opened in December 2008, there were very few reviews to look at in deciding whether to come. We also experienced a lot of "start-up pains" as there was on-going construction and finish up work, which distracted somewhat from the experience. The advertised WiFi internet was not operating, although they did quickly get us running on the wired ethernet. Several of the a ala carte restaurants were also not yet open. If you want to feel Pampered, Relaxed,Special and Close to nature this is the place to be. My wife and I spent two glorious weeks in San Blas Reserva Ambiental. This hotel had just opened its doors to the public when we arrived and though the guests were few, the treatment by staff, the excellent cuisine and the choice of swimming pools made up for any lack of "people atmosphere".
