Rene-Jean is a perfect host with a super sense of humour, he made us feel immediately at ease There is a great cook who makes delicious food and lovely cakes Excellent service all round Such a wonderful find, wish we'd found it earlier. A great place to return to after the heat of the day and the hectic pace of Marakesh at night. We will certainly stay here again when we return

Riad Noor Charana was in a great location, clean, cosy and Danielle and her husband were very friendly and helpful. All rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast was great! I would recommend this Riad to everyone going to marrakech!!!

Riad Noor is situated in the middle of the Médina and as such very good situated, near all hot-spots of Marrakech. We experienced a very warm welcome by Danielle. Rooms are very nice and cosy, and clean. Each morning we enjoyed a very nice and sumptuous breakfast. Very tasteful kitchen! This Riad is highly recommended!

My sister and I (two Americans in our 20's) travelled to Morocco for the first time last month and selected Riad Noor Charana based on the price value and good reviews on this website. We stayed 3 nights and were beyond pleased with our choice. The Riad is charming, cozy and well-decorated in authentic Moroccan decor. It is romantically decorated - when we had dinner the first evening in the riad (which I recommend) there were rose petals strewn all over the table. I've stayed at Noor Charana twice, in 2006 and 2007 and have recommended it to many friends. Anyone who visits Marrakech MUST stay in a riad. The hotels outside the old medina, frankly, could be any hotel in the world. Riads are a historic part of Morocco. This Riad is difficult to find your first time - but then so is anywhere in the Old Medina - but once you know where it is, its v quick and easy to the get to the Djeema/Place. Stayed here for 4 nights and loved it.... Right in the centre of everything just a few mins walk from 'La Place' but once you're inside to quite and calm surroundings are much appreciated. Rooms we stayed in although not huge were just what we needed and bathrooms were decked out with beautiful mosaic tileing. Danielle saved our vacation in Marrakesh. We lost our guidebook, our desert trek got canceled, we got sick... But Danielle opened the Riad like a home. She found us alternative desert trek, gave us her personal guide book and a list of wonderful places to see in Marrakesh, let us use her own personal computer and cell phone to make calls. We stayed here for 6 days in January and couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome or a more homely retreat in which to relax away from the madness of Marrakech. The riad is lovely with lots of comfy seating areas in which you can enjoy the traditional surroundings. The food was homemade and fantastic and we enjoyed a evening meal with the other visitors to the riad on the roof terrace, one of the many highlights of the trip. We were cordially welcomed by Danielle upon our arrival and were served wonderful mint tea while we filled out the paperwork. Danielle just took over this lovely little Riad in the Medina, located 5 min from Place Jma and easy to find once you know where it is. She is a very friendly and hospitable person who took the time to give us many handy hints and to sit with us at breakfast time. The rooms are lovely and beds comfortable.
