Riad La Cle de Fes

Stayed in this Riad for 3 days. It's located right in the heart of the old medina of Fez (hard to find without help). Like all riads it's blank on the outside and wonderfully furnished inside, calm and cool and designed with the detail and design we came to expect. The staff are charming, the comfort good and the food great (especially good for me, a veggie). If you want to be located in this extraordinary medieval medina, then consider this place.

This place exceeded all our expectations - the staff were brilliant, helpful and extremely professional. It was very well run. We dined here too and had the best meal of our trip. Naima arranged a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide who took us out for the day at a fair price. The riad was easy to get to by taxi and convenient to the shops. They even varied breakfast as we stayed 2 nights. I can't imagine what they could do to improve this riad!

In the small sized Guesthouses, this must be one of the best. The house is cosy, with a cute little swiming pool, the view on the top terrace is gorgious and the kitchen personnel is outstanding. Even the little pancakes in the morning are home made. Just perfect. Nicolas (future neighbour)

An excellent raid with impeccable service. Not the first time i have stayed there and definetly not the last. Naima is heaven sent with her advice, hospitality and service all of which is spot on. If you want standard luxury then stay at the palace jamais, if you want luxury with a personnel touch then stay at the La Cle de Fes, ideally situated near the Batha sq entrance to the medina and close to a petit taxi stop it is both easy to find and tranquil at the same time. once you step through the doors you forget the bustle left... more

I highly recommend the riad "La clé de Fes" which is nearby the "gate blue", the main entrance for visiting the Médina. Naima , the hostress is always trying to help you and give you good advises. Tje food is terrible good and the riad permits to stay in a warm atmosphere where we alltogether meet around a tea or near the fireplace. Do not hesithate ! Virginie & Misou

I stayed three nights with my wife in this wonderful Riad in mid-February of 2008. It is well located, not far from the medina walls so we could get there on our own when we arrived to Fes. The place is beautiful, rooms and bathrooms are large and well equipped. Rooms have a modern air-con/heating system. Everything is very clean. By far the best of the Riad is Naima, your host in Fes. My wife and I stayed in this beautiful Riad for 3 nights in the city of Fez after having researched for accommodation through trip advisor. As a professional photographer I could see immediately from pictures on Trip Advisor and the Riad's own website this venue was not going to disappoint. We spent two nights in this Riad and I can highly recommend it. Our room was clean and nicely furnished. Naima and Francoise are very friendly and helpful. Don't waste your time by eating in the Medina, the best food we had was in La Cle de Fes. Not only is excellent but it is safe!!!! By the recommendation of Trip Advisor we booked the first two nights in Riad Number 9 and we were a bit disappointed. This was a wonderful little Riad. The food is very good, the service is excellent, the decor is very nice. It is exceptionally clean. Unfortunately, the pool was out of order while we were there, and I did not receive a discount for this inconvenience. Howevert, the staff of the hotel is quite responsive to your needs. I would suggest you stay at this hotel.
