Reunion Resort

We had recently stayed at this resort for the first time for three nights. Decided to try it out for the first part of our Disney vacation of 14 days after reading about it. I have some mixed feelings of this place. It is a beautiful resort, a bit further from the main part of Disney, to me that means the downtown/Epcot area and the immediate area outside of it in Lake Buena Vista. Booked a golf package directly with Reunion 4 months ago. We even pre-paid for the package. The reservation was to stay in the Seven Eagles section of the resort. Which we were told by the reservations desk was the best section of the resort. However, upon check in we knew something was wrong when they had problems trying to find the proper reservation (took them 15 minutes) blamed the new computer system. We booked one night at the Reunion Resort as we were going to spend the day at the Kennedy Space Centre and drive back to Tampa the next day. On Expedia it seemed the most reasonable 4 star so we booked it without expecting much. My wife already wants to go back! We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that had fully-appointed kitchen and sitting room - the sofa folded down to a bed so you can get 4 people in if you wish. The website pictures of the Reunion simply do not do it justice. We stayed in the Carraige Point three-room bedroom villa for three days in attempts to unwind and simply relax. It was more than any of us could have asked for, the villa was absolutely beautiful and luxurious; plasma tv's in each room, washer and dryer, living and dining room. After viewing the pictures we had all taken during our stay, my mother (who did not join us) could not believe that was what we got in return for our total $199/night. We stayed at Reunion Carriage Point townhomes for 4 nights, 12/27/06 - 12/31/06. Carriage Point is a bit away from the main Reunion resort area - beyond walking distance, but not far by car. Also, most of Reunion is located astride I-4, which produces a certain amount of traffic noise. It is very close to Disney, without traffic problems even at Christmas. We were very surprised at the both quality and attention to detail of both the 3 Bdrm Condo, pools and landscaping. We expected nice but sturdy instutional looking furnishings and amenities. Instead it was more like an upscale designer quality home. With private club surroundings. What a relaxing place for a few days in Orlando. There's not much to say except that this is the most fantastic place I've ever stayed. Everything, from the surroundings to the staff, were perfect. Anything you need is instantly catered for, whether it be a ride from one area of the resort to another or someone to do your food shopping for you, nothing was ever a problem. I stayed at Reunion Resort for 9 nights with my family and rented a two bedroom condo overlooking the golf course. This resort is brand new and is top quality. In fact having stayed in numerous quality resorts I can safely say that this is the best I have ever stayed in and is well worth it. Close to Disney and has Disney quality on-site waterpark, tennis courts etc. Apartment was furnished to a very high standard and we also got unblocked golf views of the beautiful golf courses. We have just returned from Reunion with myself,wife and 3 teeagers (18/16/16). We had booked 2 bed appt for 20 nights but when we turned up were upgraded (foc) to a 3 bed house (very nice touch saving over $1700) The resort is huge and yes building work is going on for the next 12 mths but we were never bothered with any noise etc. The waterpark is great and on our first day (max 300 persons) we were the only ones there. This resort is phenominal!!! The amentities are amazing and so close to Disney. You can't beat it.
