Can't get the details right
Many minor problems add up to overall disastisfaction from a premium priced place that just can't get the details right. This place is owned by the Fertitti brothers, who also own Green Valley Ranch in partnership with the Greenspuns (owners of Vegas.com and the local newspapers). There is a $360,000 Maybach owned by one of the brothers and used exclusively for him and his close friends parked out front. Expensive ride for someone who lives across the street basically. The reason I mention this is because its obvious these people... more
Great Stay........
I am a resident of las vegas and after visiting the red rock this past week we decided to book a room for the weekend of june 24th. This hotel and casino is outstanding. I have noticed some bad reviews from some posters lets all keep in mind not everything goes as planned. However if something does go wrong i judge how it is corrected. We arrived at 11:30am check in is not untill around 3pm. We got all the paper work out of the way and our bags were checked with the bell hop. We were told our room was ready and just needed to be inspected... more
Horrible Service
The Red Rock Las Vegas is a beautiful property - very modern and nice rooms. The pool is a really nice and the property overall has a unique feel for Vegas. The flat panel TVs, room decor, etc. are really top notch. If you want to be away from the Strip, you might think this would be a great choice. Stay away. This hotel is new - only open two months. Everything on the service side shows that they are not ready to be open. During three days at the hotel, our room was not cleaned TWICE - depite calls to housekeeping and... more
Gorgeous hotel, but some kinks to work out
LOVED the Red Rock decor and rooms. The place just screams "fabulous!" A regular room was extremely spacious, and we had four adults in there. Loved the extra touches like a flat screen TV in the bathroom, providing spa-quality shower gel in addition to shampoo and conditioner and lotion, and providing a cocktail shaker and martini glasses in the room. The staff was very courteous. BUT - they seem to still have kinks to work out at this place, since it is new. The housekeeping staff knocked 3 times in the morning while I was... more
Beautiful Hotel But No Soul.
Spent the wkend at Red Rock Resort & Spa 6/10-12. RR is a very contemporary, hip hotel much like an Ian Schrager copy. The interior struck me as cold and ultra-modern. Beautiful as it is, there seem to be something missing, I cannot pinpoint the heartbeat of this hotel. PLUSES 1.First impression counts & I give RR excellent marks. 1st, the 25 min complimentary airport shuttle (a limo van leaves every 2 hrs) to the hotel, saving me $50-60 in cab fare. 2nd, Welcomed & greeted at the lobby & offered water bottles. 3rd, The... more
stayed at red rock 5/28-6/2
We booked with the Red Rock to be away from the hustle of the strip. The hotel is very nice but is still under construction. At check-in I asked if our room was near the construction. We were told yes. I requested a room away from the construction and was told the only rooms available were strip view and smoking optional. We reserved a non-smoking room with canyon view. It was only after I asked about the cancellation policy that a manager was consulted. We ended up with a non-smoking strip view on the 9th floor. Unfortuantely even... more
Amazing
I have travelled to Las Vegas on several occasions. I love the shows, the food and the amazing achitecture of the hotels. I dislike the hotels on the strip, like 'Paris' that treat visitors like they are in a cattle call. I'll never stay at Paris again. Red Rock Resort is beautiful. The restaurants, including the Steakhouse and the Salt Lick Bar BQ are outstanding. Seriously, the best steak and Bar BQ I've experienced. The rooms are impeccable. We had a suite and it was so perfect with the decor and the ultramodern... more
Great Hotel away from the strip
The temperatures averaged 95-100F when we were there which made this the ideal hotel to be at! We did venture down to the strip but it was so hot and there was no breeze so we gladly made our way back to the Red Rock where we sat by the pool enjoying the gentle breeze and managed to cool down slightly. This is an ideal hotel if you want a holiday away from the strip, sun and want to explore Las Vegas and the surrounding area as it is an expensive and long cab ride to the strip!. The spa is wonderful, a haven of peace. We used it often as it... more
very nice hotel
I stayed at the Red Rock resort and spa in late May. This hotel was beautiful!! The rooms were fantastic. They had a comfortable bed, great bathroom with a large tub, and upgraded appliances such as the sinks and showerheads. This is the best of the station casinos and I would rate these rooms better than Bellagio and their new "spa tower" rooms. The Onyx bar was a nice place to relax while killing time between the pool, spa, club, or restaraunt. The pool was good but not great as far as the service goes. The spa however was the best... more
fabulous hotel away from the crowds
We have just returned from 6 nights at Red Rock and have had the best holiday ever! After nearly 24 hours door to door the luxury and quiet elegance of the hotel was a welcome sight. As we arrived late the shutle bus from the airport had stopped for the evening, so we needed to get a cab - don't expect even the locals to be able to find the place. Our driver got very lost, driving down dead end streets and having to turn around frequently. Last bus is eight or nine o-clock in the evening, so try to arrive before then! Anyway - back to... more
