Rawi Warin Resort & Spa

When my husband and I finally arrived at the hotel (4 hour minivan trip from Krabi airport), we were rewarded with a spectacular view. The landscape and setting on the beach are truly breathtaking. Palm trees and an extensive maze of tropical walkways and ponds caress you to your hotel room. Taking a dip in the pool against that sunset ocean backdrop was also absolutely magical. In a party of four, all between 20-30, we had a fantastic time at the Rawi Warin and used it as a luxury base to come home to after going out to seeing what the island offers. Going in November we arrived at the start of the season with few people at the hotel, leaving plenty of loungers and space to enjoy the ammenities, with weather that was pleasant and not scorching. We had a great experience at the Rawi Warin. The rooms are big and clean, the pool is amazing and the food delicious. I highly recommend it.

Would be an excellent resort if it weren’t for slightly disjointed service and absolute lack of nightlife. The hotel and landscaping are very well designed and appointed. We didn’t really mind the trek to the room (though would certainly be a problem for anyone with mobility problems) as the exercise was much needed after indulgence in Thai food! Having just stayed in the hotel for 6 nights in late Nov 2007 I am happy to give this hotel a glowing review. The resort also has a new hotel management company which has taken over from the owner who I understand previously managed the resort but not that well from what I understand. My wife and I decided to stay at this hotel after realising that the Layana Resort was fully booked. We were really impressed with the hotel in general, the quality of the service, the size of the rooms, the pools and amenities especially in relation to the price we paid. It was by far the best hotel experience we had during our 2 weeks in Thailand and Cambodia and would highly recommend the Rawi Warin. We have stayed at many locations and hotels in Thailand before but Rawi Warin at Koh Lanta certainly topped the list. Rawi is on the quieter part of Lanta close to fabulous beaches and jungle. The service in the hotel was excellent, premises tidy and our villa was great with an outstanding view. Breakfast buffet was tasty with a wide selection. The hotel restaurants are pricey but there are nice beach restaurants close to the hotel. Perhaps the hotel could inform the quests a little better on all the facilities that are located... more

We landed on Ko Lanta with no where to stay and we were shown so many brochures on the boat transfer from Phi Phi. We talked to a few of the hotel people and picked out what looked to be the nicest.....we lasted there one night and thankfully found the Rawi Warin. Out of this world grounds, kept perfect. The nicest pool I've ever seen and despite what other reviewers say the staff and service are excellent. So they don't all speak english...YOU'RE IN THAILAND. Stayed here for 5 nights with our 2 children (10 & 14) and also 2 other families with children. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were blown away by the design & beauty of the resort. The infinity style pool was stunning with views out to the sea. There was a slide into the bottom pool to keep the kids busy. Pool service was pretty good. We stayed at this hotel for the last week in Jan '07 and were a bit worried after we'd booked. This hotel has been open 18 months now and seems to have ironed out many of the issues mentioned on this site. The resort is now complete and everything fully functioning.
