" Lovely hotel, really friendly staff.... "
Submitted By: Mrs A Watts
Lovely hotel, really friendly staff. I visited with my husband and my youngest child, my other children all went somewhere else.
The room was really clean and there were only sofa beds to sleep on, and the kitchen area was in a little cupboard, really mad but it was fine it had a big bathroom with a proper bath and shower. Our room had a TV. I think this is as standard which was great for cbbc in the morning ha ha. They cleaned the room every other day, and changed towels and bed linen.
The area is lovely we spent the first couple of days on the main beach because we was told it was the best, but we soon found out it wasn't. There is a gorgeous little beach the other way - when you come out of the hotel turn left and keep walking straight down then you come to the beach with lots of bars shops and restaurants.
We loved our holiday and will for sure go back with our other children.
The hotel as I have said, was great the only down side which is very minor was there was no kettle or toaster, it did not really bother us but I know some people would be a bit upset about that. The area is lovely with lots to see and do the only thing we found was that a lot of the other holiday makers were not very friendly.
We were not the only people to have noticed this either, most people we spoke to were thinking the same as us. It is not a very British resort which is fine, we don’t go on holiday for that, but it did lack a bit of fun and smiles.
You will judge for yourselves no doubt if you go to Isla Del Sol, you will have a great holiday.

" My husband and I visited Can Pastilla... "

My husband and I visited Can Pastilla with another couple. The apartments were well maintained with a nice garden surrounding the pool, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing and we would highly recommend these apartments for their value for money and cleanliness.
Our friends were so impressed they returned again last summer accompanied by another couple and we are all thinking of spending a holiday there this September.
If you are holidaying on a budget it Isla Del Sol is highly recommended.

If you’re on a budget you can’t go wrong. My wife and I visited in June '05. Only 10 minutes taxi ride from the airport (13 euros). This apartment block is clean and well looked after.

You hear distant aircraft noise during take off and landing and its NOT disturbing. The staff were fantastic and the bar is inexpensive and snacks and light meals are available too. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a sea view although not all rooms have one.

The studio apartment was clean and towels were changed by the maid twice I think (maybe more). Ca'n Pastilla is a 20-minute bus ride from central Palma. 1.20 euro on the number 15 or 17 bus. Pool and garden very pleasant. The living area opens onto a balcony and has a kitchen area with 2 rings and sink (no microwave or grill) and a huge fridge. TV is included and you receive BBC1, Sky News, Eurosport and a 24hr cartoon channel for the little ones.

Ca'n Pastilla hosts a huge beach (Playa De Palma), which is only 5-10 minutes walk away. The town has restaurants to suit all tastes and most are excellent value for money. Pay a visit to the Front Bar and Ricky’s Tavern for a warm British welcome.

Overall tremendous value for money, we paid £20 approx per night total and we’ll go back for sure.
