Phra Nang Lanta

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2 week holiday in Krabi. This hotel is smaller than others we had stayed at, and by far offered the nicest rooms, located right on a quiet beachfront with a beautiful mountain backdrop, all rooms having great views of the bay. This hotel was amazing. The rooms were big and clean, the A/C was cold, and the view could not be better. The staff was also amazing: always smiling and friendly and willing to accomodate you with whatever you might need. The food and the service was also excellent. Great Hotel. Great Location. Great staff. Great price.

Kan Tieng Bay has a wonderful beach! Quit and relaxed. The rooms of the hotel are very spacious and clean. However on this huge balcony two wooden chairs was all there was and I was left wondering why. One could easily have fitted a hammock and a small table or two sunbeds. Other balconys where fully furnished. Staff did not know much english and communicating was many times difficult. Asking a question would often result in three or four people looking confused. Amazing resort with incredible rooms and service. The staff could not be warmer or more accomodating. The setting is gorgeous, and the rooms are extremely comfortable, modern, clean and have every ammenity for travelers. You MUST stay at this resort if you come to Lanta! and walk two doors down to Why Not Bar for awesome music and treehouse feel.

Amazing place!! Right on the coast of a beautiful beach, with seaview from all rooms, and the most helpful staff I have met for a very long time. You can use the Hotel kajaks for a nice sail down the coast, where you can find good snorkeling sites and have a look at the many fish and corals. I and my girlfriend went to Thailand for 2 weeks. Before going there, we spent much time booking hotels and doing research through Tripadvisor. Great site and even greater idea, as something that turns out to be a complete disaster can be avoided through the unfortunate experiences of others. Owners of hotels are also forced to improve and maintain good standards, in order to not see their revenue streams grow smaller through negative reviews. My wife and I have just spent 3 weeks on Koh Lanta and have spent the last week of our holiday at the Phra Nang hotel in Kantiang Bay on the south of the island. The hotel is excellent - it's right on the beach with a glorious view of Kantiang Bay. The hotel's facilities are excellent - big spacious rooms, comfortable beds, effective air-con, TV/DVD/WIFI in the rooms and probably the best shower we've used in Thailand - both powerful and hot ! The resort is very cosy as there are only a few rooms. All rooms are nicely decorated which large bathrooms and tiny details. Beautiful location as all rooms have view of the Kantiang Bay. The pool is small but clean and cosy. The service is fantastic, breakfast is nice and in general we loved the place. We really felt like at home and enjoyed every day while staying there. Just back from a stay at the Phra Nang Lanta and we loved it. The rooms are fantastic and the setting couldn't be better, right on the beach, close to bars and shops. The pool is brilliant and has loads of areas to relax and chill out. The staff do seem to struggle slightly with their english but in some ways this added to the ambient relaxed Thai vibe about the place. We had plenty of little niggles but our overall experience was having a great time in one of the nicest, most personalised hotels we have ever stayed at. I'd definitely go back.
