Nice Good and Clean Hotel
Hi Have just come back from Ko Phi Phi Don, Wow it is excellent. We stayed in the Phi Phi hotel and it was really good. When we checked in we were greeted with a nice cool fruit juice and a flannel to wipe ourselves over. We found our room quite spacious and clean, good size bathroom with a good shower. Room service cleaned the room everyday and filled our room with tea and coffee. I thin if you are looking for luxury this may not be the hotel for you, but if your like me and just want a good size room that is clean and... more
Beware of Electric Shocks
On arrival at the Phi Phi hotel the reception looked quite impressive and elegant, the porters and reception staff were very friendly and attentive. We were taken to our room and shown the bedroom and how everything worked and on first apperance the room seemed adequate if not a tad jaded. It was when the porter left our room and we went into the bathroom and saw the full horror of this dated, dirty, unhygenic monstrosity, to call it a bathroom is a complete and utter misrepresentation, the last thing you would want to do is actually wash... more
Bit sterile
Really appreciated the air con as was v hot. Breakfast included but uninspiring as was the hotel. It was clean and well presented but not what we wanted as could have almost been in any country. Good location between Tonsai and Lo Aulum beach. We are 2 x single 30something flashpackers girls...
Can do better
The hotel was alright but its in the really busy area of Phi Phi so coming in and out of the hotel your basically straight into the markets and the bussle of the area around the wharf. Room was clean and the shower was hot but the bathroom was tiny. Location is close to everything but at the same time its about as busy as Phi Phi can get. Overall for the price I think there are better places on the island...
Pretty good overall, except for the damp smell!
We arrived on Phi Phi on a short backpacking trip, & we had no booking. Accomdation was at a premium, so we grabbed the 1st one offered to us, which was the Phi Phi hotel. It was fine, but out basement room smelt of damp (don't all basement rooms!) It was a bit beyond my normal budget, but there is very little backpacker priced hotels in Phi Phi nowadays. It cost 1700 Thai Baht per night for a twin room with hot water, AC & cable TV, safe in the room. Apart from the damp smell it was fine, service ok etc - its just a... more
Go for it
It is one of the biggest and nicest hotels in Phi Phi, located right next to the pier. The rooms are nice and clean, and breakfast is quite okay. The price varies - 1000 to 2000 BHT during the high season (December).
Good for Phi Phi
Booked this hotel for 5 nights through [--]. Had a new wing room and regret not taking the seaview for the same price. Excellent location being 2 mins to beach, pier and main road with restaurants etc... Not enough pool chairs was an issue as it is peak season. Banyan Villa near by has same owners and is slightly more expensive. At lunch time the restaurant is taken over by tour groups which did not effect us as we wouldnt have eaten there. Breakfasts very average with toast, juice, 2 fruits, egg station, bacon, fried potatoes and sausage.... more
value for money
Stayed at this hotel for 1 night on 17 november. The hotel is a mismatch of accomodation, we stayed in room 208 which looked like it was in the newest block. The room was large 2 x double and a camp bed for the 3 of us sharing worked out fine for our short visit , though may have been tough for longer. The only thing i disliked was the actual toilet was in the shower cubicle so that when you had a shower everything including the toilet got wet. The hot water was on a timer or so it seemed. On for 2 mins then you had to switch the shower... more
Average !! Not the best on Phi Phi
We stayed here for 3 nights and we came in from Krabi and booked for 3 adults to stay in one room. Which had not been a problem in any other hotels in Thailand. We paid 1800 THB and I think another 500 THB for the fold up bed. The Hotel is the biggest on the Island and is part of chain of Hotels. Not the best customer service that we received. The room was very small, it had queen bed and a fold up bed squashed in the corner. The bathroom was not the best though the shower was hot and powerful. The air - con is not very... more
cheap-ish, big and popular Phi Phi Hotel
(--) review: Phi Phi hotel is the largest (tallest, anyways) hotel in the Ao Ton Sai part of Ko Phi Phi. It's very near the port and easy to get to/from the ferries to/from other places (we arrived from Railay and continued on to Phuket).Paid about 1800 THB / night ( ~ $45 USD / night ).we were on the 5th floor with a sea-view room. with no elevator, in the April heat, this was a little trek everytime. The AC in the room was decent once you got it going right (though it was misleading at times). The place didn't feel especially... more
