Phi Phi Bayview Resort

A nice place to stay on Phi Phi Island, right at the end of the beach, away from the crowds. Accommodation is up a very steep hill, but situated amongst trees and very picturesque. Comfortable room and good breakfast.

I checked into the bay view resort from the 21/11/06 - 23/11/06. I booked a grand deluxe villa and after reading various reviews and seeing pictures on the internet me and my fiancé were looking forward to our stay here. We were met at ton sai pier by a employee who took us and various other guests to the hotel in a longtail boat. Stayed in this resort for 1 week in august 2006. Dont really have any compliants with this resort. We stayed in a deluxe aryburi room, which was well maintained and cleaned reg. However this resort is a bit of a climb to get to, and at times we where breatheless (healthy 25's), so would not recommend for the eldery or maybe familys with small children. Otherwise top notch stay at the price we paid! would recommend

Phi Phi is by far the most beautiful place I have visited in my life. We stayed at this resort for two nights and were highly impressed. Although we hadn't booked before we arrived and ended up having to stay somewhere else for the first night which was a bit of a nightmare and not very clean. When we checked into Bayview they had to move us to their other resort, Arayaburi, which is part of the same complex but meant having to walk a little further. We always read tripadvisor when choosing hotels for our holidays. Phi Phi was a problem, nothing seemed to be that good if you wanted to stay around the village and we wanted to be able to walk, not rely on longtails. We evenyually chose Bayview Resort and don't have any complaints at all. We travelled in low season and paid AUD150.00 for three nights including a good buffet breakfast. I would recommend booking in the older bayview resort, not the newer twin Arabyri bungalows as you will be further from reception and the beach. There is a pool in the centre of the complex but it was unmanned and unclean. The beach however was amazing. We paid for a delux oceanview which was right on the seafront which great views. Before booking this resort be aware of the fact that the hotel is only accessible by boat. When you get off the pier at Phi Phi a boat will be waiting for you, you have to get in the water in order to climb in (the water is about knee deep) but there is help with the luggage. Check-in was relatively fast, but only because we were among the first ones off the boat. Others waited for a while. We stayed at this resort for four nights in mid-February. The hotel is only accessible from the beach (not ideal to carry your luggage around) and is a 30 minute walk from the pier. It is best to take a longtail boat from the pier to the hotel (which the hotel provides for free...look for someone holding up the hotel sign when you get off the ferry.) If you have children, are in your golden years or any disability then be worned this is not the hotel for you! The bungalows are set on a mountain and can be a hike to get to especially in the heat and humidity. My family arrived at this resort to be met by moody, rude reception taff. After requesting a baby cot we were informed they did not have one and told my 9 month baby would have to sleep with me, they would not take into account he crawls and wriggles and laughed when I said it was unsafe. I was very dissapointed with the Bay View Inn Resort at Phi Phi Don Island. From the pictures we had seen on the web we assumed it was an upper scale bungalow resort on an island that mostly caters to backpackers and adventure travellers. Upon arrival the front desk staff were panicked and in horrible moods, and even getting angry with customers.
