This was our second year at the Kefalos and it was just as brilliant as last year. Although the daytime entertainment was not as good as last year, the hotel and the setting is great.
The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The service at the bars is excellent and the food they serve is of a good quality.
The rooms are spotless and the maid service is good. The shop on site has a good selection although slightly more expensive compared to the shops in Paphos.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area all of which are excellent. Fat mamas is a must and the syssfos is also good. The Phuket is excellent although a little expensive but well worth it.
We had such a brilliant time here that we are planning to return again next year.

Having just returned from this resort, I have to say it was one of the best holidays that we have had.
Never having booked a package holiday on the internet we were a bit unsure of what to expect, but from the booking of the holiday to actually arriving at the hotel everybody involved was very helpful.
We arrived at the hotel in evening and were welcomed very well, after filling out the registration forms we were taken to our apartment in a golf buggy, which the children thought highly amusing.
On entering the apartment we were very pleased with the size and cleanliness. In the living/kitchen/dining area which was very spacious there was a double settee that had been turned into a bed, a single chair that had also been made into a single bed. Which the children were more than happy with as they could lay in bed and watch the TV.
In the bedroom there was two single beds pushed together, full range of wardrobes and dressing table and chest of drawers. The bathroom had a full size bath with power shower over. Every day the maids came in and cleaned made the beds and left clean towels.
The pool area was always kept clean and tidy and the pool was cleaned every morning.
Pool rules stated that it was closed from 7pm until 8am and no reserving of sunbeds allowed, but unfortunately that was not the case and so like everyone else we found ourselves getting up at 6.30 to reserve beds, not something that I was entirely happy about doing, but when in "Rome"!
The pool bar was fantastic and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
At night the animation team laid on entertainment some of which was not brilliant, but the children were able to make lots of friends and we felt happy for them to go to the park just by the pool bar while we sat and chatted with other likeminded parents.
The hotel restaurant was a buffet style and for 3 courses eat as much as you liked the evening price was £7.50 CYP. And every night there was always a children’s buffet corner. Breakfast was also buffet and 1.50 children and 3.00 adult.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone with children of all ages.

We had a lovely apartment with beautiful sea view. The holiday was great, took two teenagers with us, they enjoyed the company of other teenagers, German and English alike.
The people staying at the hotel were nice folk, we made a couple of friends.
Had food in town, peach blossom was a very good Chinese. Enjoyed having a drink at tramps in the afternoon, sports type of bar.
I was very pleased with every aspect of the Kefalos Beach, the flowers, pool area and walkways were clean and pretty.
We would good back tomorrow.

This was a wonderful place to stay, we went in Dec 2005 to get married, the apartments themselves were very well kept and very clean.
The overall Hotel was equally as clean and well kept, the adjoining beach was also very nice.
We hadn’t arranged a reception after our wedding the hotel were more than happy to help us and arranged a finger buffet, and even though we were self catering they said we could also use the restaurant for a sit down meal in the evening too, and prepared a special table for us, the food was very nice and also very fresh.
The staff were all very nice and made or stay very pleasant and couldn’t have been more accommodating. The children were also made to feel very welcome and although we never used it they also had a kids club on site too, which looked very friendly and inviting from what I saw of it.
I would definitely recommend this holiday and hope to return in the near future.

We first went here about 3yrs ago, on an allocation mistake, and I must say it was the best mistake the tour operator did.
We thought it was great. So great that we have returned most years.
The only problem we have had was that the air conditioning unit started to leak all over the bed, so after mentioning this to the staff they gave us an alternative room for the night, got the cleaners and odd job man in first thing the next morning and everything was back to normal.
We get a Christmas card from them every year and now every time we go we get a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine - nice touch!
The guy who sells jewellery, on a Mondays I think, in the reception is great. His stuff is well priced although my husband always haggles for a better deal, and well made.
I've still got my earrings and ring from 3yrs ago so not your normal 'need to throw away after the holiday' tat you usually get.
Restaurants are plentiful, San Marino is always good also the Outback Bar for a good Karaoke night. Our 14yr old liked the Syssifos restaurant, a bit pricey but good value.
Went to Fat Mamas for our son's birthday, bit disappointed after queuing for ages, food OK but way too much. We have had better meals in previous years there.
We are off again in June 2007 and can't wait. We not only like the Kefalos Beach, but we love Paphos the people are so friendly.
No doubt I will submit a review after our visit in June.

My fiancé and I stayed 5 night here in October last year. As we were only in paphos to organise our 2007 wedding we really only wanted a clean and pleasant place to stay as we were out an about during the days.
We arrived in the very early hours of the morning and were greeted by very friendly staff. We had booked a studio apartment but were actually given a one bedroom. The apartments are basic but have everything you need. We were stunned by the cleanliness of the apartments & loved how the towels on our bed were made into swan shapes- a nice touch!
The maid service was regular and thorough, although our room was near the front and by the cleaning area and the maids do have a habit of shouting very loudly to each other early in the morning!
We didn't really use any of the hotel facilities but the pool looked clean and family friendly.
Locally it is only a short stroll to a strip of nearby restaurants and bars and a short drive into paphos town.
We would definitely return to the Kefalos beach and would recommend it to others for a good and extremely clean value for money holiday.

The apartments were wonderfully clean and spacious. I only wish I had paid a little extra for a room with a sea view so I could watch sunsets over the ocean - stunning. The hotel has what seems to be its own stretch of beach.
It was a little too breezy at this time of year for my liking so I mostly stayed by the pool, right beside the beach. Plenty of people did stay out though. The indoor heated pool was a dream - I wasn't brave enough to venture into the outdoor one.
The staff were mostly very friendly and always helpful. I wasn't keen on the food -overcooked at times and not the most flavoursome. I have stayed at 4 star hotels, half board before and the quality of the cooked food was just not there.
Breakfasts were fine however. I would also like have seen more fresh fruit. They offered melon, which was always tasteless, oranges and occasionally, bananas. I would recommend staying at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis and heading out for dinner.
My only criticism of the location was that the local restaurants and bars within walking distance were mostly empty due to the time of year. It was like a ghost town. During mid to high season I am sure they would be fine. The beautiful harbour area had much more going on.
There were also some restaurants with panoramic views of Paphos in the old town area, near the markets. Well worth a visit for lunch.
If you are heading on a trip, I wouldn't recommend Kyrenia in the north. Wildly overpriced. We spent most of the time sitting on the coach and, although pretty, there wasn't a lot to see or do when we got there. Throughout the 10 hour excursion we spent over 6 hours on the coach. Definitely visit the mosaics by the harbour area in Paphos.

Just returned yesterday from a two week holiday here and wish I could have stayed longer. The apartment was nice and clean, very good maid service-every day. The pool was fantastic, my parents struggled to get me out at the end of the day! The resort is located right on the beach. By the pool, you just walk past to get to it.
Only problem was not easy to swim in sea as it is very rocky, but there is a jetty that takes you out past the rocks so you can swim if you want to. The resort is very close to some very lovely bars and restaurants. Our favourites were The Outback Bar and Fat Mama's. There is also a Pizza Hut. A short bus to the harbour gets you MacDonald’s and KFC.
I absolutely loved it there and would definitely go back.

Went on holiday on the 25th June 2006 for 2 weeks. Ground floor Studio Sea View S/C.
Studio well equipped, modern appliances and Aircon. Good sized bathroom, clean and comfortable. Arrived late Sunday evening quick and pleasant check in, transported to room in an electric golf buggy.
Hotel is as described in brochure. Reception area is large with a bar which was well used with the World Cup on. Reception Staff mostly pleasant one or two need to work on their inter-personal skills. Flower beds around the Hotel fantastic and lovely smelling. Hotel Shop was well stocked a little pricer than else where but not that bad, they will also blow up your inflatables for free, even though you haven't bought them there.
Swimming pool very clean, some sun beds broken with some sharp exposed metal and some of the parasols also broken. Not enough sun beds when the hotel fully booked. Pool area very hot the sun beds facing sea cooler with the sea breeze. The beach is not really for swimming off as it is rocky underneath the sand is very coarse good for removing rough skin on feet.
Pool Bar and Restaurant Staff disorganised at Lunch time when busy but mostly pleasant, work hard with some real Characters. Prices not too bad although salads have too much cabbage and lettuce not enough other ingredients. Happy hour after 23.00hrs for cocktails only. Our daughter loved the children’s cocktails and milkshakes. We didn't eat in the Hotel Restaurant instead went out every night. Hotel 5 mins walk to bars and restaurants. Our favourite places to eat, O’Neil’s Irish pub, Martelli for a great Pizza, Chloe's Chinese excellent for a special meal as is Youkoso Japanese restaurant. Also recommended was Fat Mama's and the with portion sizes you will be too, it's very busy so go early. Most other placed sell pretty much the same type of food, set menu prices CY £6.95 to £7.95 for 3 courses.
Hotel entertainment lets start with the bad first. Every second week the hotel management organizes a magician to appear, Mr Cadabra. He manages to make many hotel guest disappear quite impressive really, try's his best bless him just not good. Cyprus nights also organised by the hotel management on Monday's and Wednesday's are awful. They should maybe consider becoming magicians as they can make the guests disappear quicker than Mr Cadabra, ok if you like electronic Cypriot music, same songs same tunes both nights.
There is an entertainment team 4Front Entertainment who do daily activities Kids and Adults they also do the evening entertainment on the other nights. They are magic! As they bring in the guests. They are Leighton, Mel,Jo and Kalea they should allowed to organise all the Hotel entertainment Hotel Management take note. They all work extremely hard and are great fun. Our daughter enjoyed the Pant-Tastic kids disco's. Thanks guys.
All in all an enjoyable two weeks very little wrong.

This hotel was the best I have ever stayed in. It had everything and more. I went with my girlfriend and for our first holiday we couldn’t ask for more. The people and facilities were very welcoming. It had everything it that a holiday needs from our room to the bar to the sea being on your doorstep. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Paphos.
The entertainers were excellent and have come up with a great timetable for adults and kids which made our stay more enjoyable. It is just the right distance from the main town, with a wide range of restarants only walking distance.
We will definitely be back.

We went on a family holiday to the Kefalos Beach Village and we thought overall that the apartments and resort were excellent. The maid service was great and they cleaned the room and changed the towels everyday. The main outdoor pool was of a good size and well maintained.
The onsite day entertainment was very good offering activities for both children and adults. The evening entertainment was also very good, offering entertainment 6 out of the 7 nights. The indoor pool was refreshingly cool after being out in the warm sun.
The location was fantastic, located on the beach with the sea breeze and was also very close to all local amenities. The onsite shop was rather expensive compared to the other shops in the area.
As a family, our favourites was Martellis Italian restraunt situated beside Laiki Bank. The food here was very tasty and the meal sizes were very large portions despite being cheaply priced.
