great boutique hotel
We just spent 4 nights at the Melody. It is a wonderful hotel with lots of character. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was excellent - to the extent that they let the kids who missed breakfast pack a bag of food as they ran out the door to catch a bus. Rooms were modern and very very clean. I highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay at the Melody again
Great Hotel, Great Value
The Melody is a great hotel. Sure, the Hilton across the street should be your preference if price is not an issue. But this boutique hotel was clean and well managed.
Loved the Melody Hotel in Tel Aviv
I stayed at the Melody Hotel for 2 nights at the end of my 2 week trip to Israel. I loved the accomodations, decor & the cleanliness of the rooms. Everything is brand new & no detail was spared. Cleaner than clean sheets, duvet, bath & flooring. Nice lighting fixtures, built-in desk, flat screen etc. The buffet breakfast was delicious, plentiful & available for 4 hours. (6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m)Great friendly staff, nice complimentary cocktail hour. However, the room is tiny, tiny, & you must be okay with the lack of space. I would say... more
Fantastic find!
I was *thrilled* to find the Melody amongst all of the mega-hotels on the beach in Tel Aviv. The hotel is recently remodeled -- the furnishings and fixtures couldn't be more than a year old -- and it has an injection of life and spirit. The manager is friendly and makes the place feel like home -- we played board games and met her daughters one night during the complimentary cocktail and snack service, and chatted about the day's activities over breakfast. We stayed in a Hilton (Eilat) and the legendary American Colony (Jerusalem) hotel... more
Nice but noisy....
I chose the Melody as it was newly refurbished and I had loved staying at its sister hotel (the Cinema) earlier in the year. Plus points - newly done up, one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long while and free internet access from the lobby. Quite nicely decorated new rooms BUT the hotel saved money on decent double glazing which is desparately needed for the rooms facing Hayarkon Street. I felt as if I was sleeping on the street as I heard every car that stopped and started right outside the hotel. The rooms at the back of the hotel... more

a review before even staying in the hotel
I have not even yet stayed at the hotel... Called today Oct 1 to book for 3 nights starting Oct 14. The clerk could not garantuee we'll get a room with a sea view. He could also not promise me parking place although their website says they have their own parking. When I argued about it, he said, this is hotel policy, I am not responsible for it. I hate this kind of reply. He represents the hotel policy for me. Obviously I did not book a room in this hotel.
Good, solid, clean 3-star
My wife and I stayed at the Melody for a week in November 2005 and were very satisfied. It's nothing fancy -- a 3-star hotel in all respects -- but it was very clean, efficiently run, has a very helpful staff and is an excellent value for the price. A strong point was the delicious and generous breakfast included in the price; also, free parking under the hotel and free wireless internet access in the rooms are plusses. The rooms are a bit small (and the "double bed" is smaller than a North American queen), as are the tiny "towel-letts"... more
Great boutique hotel at perfect locatoin
The Melody Hotel was once the Canadian embassy, and is now a lovely little boutique hotel right on Ha-Yarkon Street. It only has 34 rooms, but is recently renovated, very sleek and well designed, and very well run. It also has free parking underneath, a major asset in this very car-crowded area of Tel Aviv. The location is tough to beat -- right across from the far more expensive Hilton and its beach, and a 10 minute walk from Dizengoff Square. Only caution -- don't stay in one of the two rooms on the ground floor. They're too close... more
Good Place
Stayed here for fivve nights in Decmber and Jan. 05. Nice boutique style hotel, good location across from the Hilton, very friendly staff, reasonable quiet. Only complaint is that when I returned after travelling around the country they would not honor the $89 rate advertised on the Atlas Hotels website.
