Los Tilos

Repeat visit for us at Hotel Los Tilos, and once again, this hotel delivered! This time, we drove instead of taking the train....parked at La Paz (for 15 euros/ night) on Calle La Paz. Hotel has an "agreement" with another parking structure for 14 euros/night, so not much difference, and La Paz was within 6-7 minutes walk of hotel. I stayed at the Hotel Los Tilos for two nights with my fiancee in mid-Feb 07 at €50 + tax per night (about €54), including an excellent breakfast buffet. There is a tv and safe in the room but no mini-bar or fridge. This was the best deal we found in over three weeks in Spain and Portugal. It's a short cab ride to the train station (€5-6) and about 20-30 mins from the airport (about €20). My mother and I spent 8 nights at Hotel los Tilos We had requested a quiet rrom and were given a very quiet, spacious room in the back. At first I was disappointed that we didn't have a view--just the back of other buildings, and when I asked for a room with a view, they offered me one, but did point out that it wouldn't be as quiet. WE decided on our origional one. Everything was fantastically clean. The breakfast buffet was far better than what I am used to in Europe. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful.... more

We booked this on the recommendation of a guide book and requested one of the higher up rooms. We were rewarded with room 402 which has fantastic views of the Al Hambra and the cathedral as well as the Plaza below. The location was perfect, the room was simple but spacious and clean. The bathroom was brand new and even had a bidet. And it was a steal at less than 70 euros a night. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.
