Locanda Art Deco

My husband and I spent one night here in Jan '05 and we still can't believe what good value it was. The room was really spacious, immensely comfortable and spotlessy clean. The staff were very friendly and the location is just perfect. Contrary to some of the other reviews we found our room to be extremely quiet (we were on the top floor). If you're going to Venice I'd definitely recommend staying here.

My fiance and I stayed at the Art Deco in January of 2005 and had a truly enjoyable stay. We booked a double room online and they gave us the suite ... for a very good price, considering we were there in the off season. The staff was welcoming and very helpful and breakfast was very substantial. The location is great, only a ten minute walk from St Mark's and very close to two vaporetto stops, yet far enough off the beaten track to make it a quiet hideaway. We would go back in an instant to this gem of a hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Locanda Art Deco in March 2004. I loved it so much that when I took my mother to Venice later in the year in August, I booked it again. You cannot beat location. A few minutes walk from the Accademia bridge. You can walk to St Mark's Square or the Rialto (admittedly at the risk of getting lost) and you're moments away from the vaporetto. This place is just great! Friendly staff, nice rooms, convenient location - it has it all. We were four adults travelling together and they were able to accomodate us all in one room. We enjoyed the hotel for the two nights we were there. It felt like being at a bed and breakfast because it is a small place on a few floors. Breakfast in the morning was basic but okay. I highly reccomend this place!

There are truly plenty of places to stay in venice; however for a reasonable price and centrally located, there aren't many. The hotel fits in this catorgory. Staffs are very nice plus nice breakfest with fresh baked bread. We stay at second floor. There are mosquitos in venice (a lot), so try to stay above first floor. anyway, great place with great price Min

Our stay here was very nice. We had a very large room on the top floor. The breakfast was adequate with pastries and juice. The location was very central...though I advise to take the Vaparetto to the hotel from the train station. We tried to walk it and it takes longer than you imagine. They also have air conditioning!

We stayed four nights at the Locanda Art-Deco (July 2004). Staff members were friendly and welcoming, a precious thing in Italy. Rooms were very clean, washrooms were modern and spotless as well. Being located a few steps from Campo San Stefano, the hotel can be noisy at times, in which case you can simply close the windows and turn on the air conditionning, which is absolutely silent. This hotel was in a perfect spot just around the corner from the Accademia bridge and other wonderful sights! The room was clean and the bathroom spotless. The staff were really friendly and very helpful but unfortunately they couldn't do anything to sort out the noise from the street below and the Jazz Night at the cafe next door. This is a lovely, small hotel on a quiet little street not far from San Marco Square in the centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice continental breakfast plus cornflakes and large selection of teas. There is a good restaurant right across from it called Fiore. If you like to blow dry your hair (like I do) bring your own hairdryer & adaptor as the one in the room wasn't powerful. The room was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Art Deco for 4 nights in September. The hotel is classically beautiful and our room was comfortable, spotless and had a wonderful marble bathroom. The location is excellent, an easy walk to the Accademia, St. Mark's, Rialto, etc. We found a great outdoor retaurant in the next campo, and another down the street from the hotel. I'd stay here again anytime.
