Khaolak Orchid Beach Resort

We are a Swedish family who had booked for two nights but immediately upon arrival decided we wanted to stay longer. Not a place for party people but great for anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation. The location on the "untouched" beach is fantastic. The hotel is spacious and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The size and interior of our room was well above average compared to the room standard at other hotels we stayed on in Patong and Cape Panwa. We also enjoyed the food in the hotel restaurant.

We are a swedish family with 2 grown up children, we stayed 1 week at this lovely hotel. Nice staff, good service, lot of space on the nearly empty beach. A lovely poolarea and beutiful garden with flowers all around. Very clean and luxerous. We can highly recommend this hotel for a perfect relaxing holiday. Family Samuelsson

We just got back from a two week trip to Thailand and while there we stayed at what we think is a wonderful hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms have everything you can ask for. Everything from the room,poolarea and faciities are very clean and enjoyable. I would recomend this hotel to everyone but especially to thoose who appriciates peace and quiet, and great overal service. A beautiful, family-run hotel - you will find warm & welcoming staff, luxurious accomodation, delicious food, an idyllic setting & beautiful gardens, a pristine beach perfectly safe for swimming - we hold it very dear to our hearts. We,ve (my wife and 1,5 year old son) been driving around Thailand and were looking for a couple of days rest in a nice place. At first we only wanted to stay for 2 days but we stayed for 5 days because it was so beautiful. And besides the beauty it was a very relaxing place and the staff was so friendly. I went to this wondeful hotel with my friends for christmas holiday last year. Never heard of it before but from what the agent said, what the hell let's do it. Very lovely hotel on isolated beach. Basically, we have our own private beach all day long every day. We could do everything we want without worried that we will disturb someone. Wasn't that wonderful?. I have been to some beautiful places in this world but non as lovely as th e Khao Lak Orchid.Throughout our stay we were treated like kings and queens by the hotel staff.They made us feel so welcome.The hotel itself is magnificent, the food was excellent, the pool stunning and all this right on a huge expanse of magnificent beach.We will 100% be returning...but this time for longer.....thankyou so much.

As a party of three we travelled to Khao Lak Orchid Hotel as part of a humanitarian holiday and we stayed there whilst helping out in the local childrens orphanage.The hotel we considered to be exceptional, the staff were incredibly courteous and we found their English to be quite good. our first intention was, to stay at a simple bungalow near the sea... then a travel agency recommend us the orchid beach resort for just 3 nights cause no other hotels in the area were available! first thought by checkin was, "oh my good... thats not what we expected!" way toooooo much... after the first day, everything goes fine. we feeled very well... the hotel is a little bit outside from kao lak, but it doesn't matter. i think that's exactly what the strong ambience of the hotel is like. away from the mass-tourism, but not... more

Nice looking beach front resort, very isolated (15 mn drive to khaolak center at 100 baht one way per person, Khaolak center is where you can find few restaurants and stores), abslolutly nothing around, you feel trapped. Because of the tsunami, lots of places were closed, the beach has been cleaned up but you can see the damage it caused. No installation on the beach and no shade (hard you have a kid), you better stay at the swimming pool which is nice enough but desappointing if you are beach people. The hotel is recent.
