Nice and cozy
from Mike1010
Small but cozy room. Had one of the cottages in the back, so it was very quiet. The cottage had 2 rooms actually, and we never heard the people on the other side of the wall. The continental breakfast was ok, like other reviewers have described. The staff was professional, but not overly friendly. Parking in the lot can be troublesome if the Inn is full, but you can find parking on Truman St. You don't really need a car here, so once parked, you can leave it. Pool was great for late afternoon relaxing. The room was clean. One other...

best place to stay in key west
from lala973w
I had never been to Key West before and found this place while doing an online search. It is a great place to stay. Very affordable ($139 a night). Great location, it is only 2 blocks from Duval street. There was plenty of parking which is hard to fin down there. The place was quiet, not fancy, but very clean and the staff were up early every morning setting out breakfast and cleaning the pool. I would highly recommend Key lime Inn to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Pleased, but not thrilled
from jennrdh
The rooms were clean and comfortable, although maid service was a bit inpredictable. We paid for a deluxe room, which I thought would have a private deck or patio, but our porch was shared with the room next door. The pool was quiet and well kept, and the grounds were lovely...very tropical and lush. I didn't like that the breakfast was served so late (8:30-10:30), because I'm an early riser. They also didn't have a wide assortment. Cold cereals, boiled eggs, and yogurt would have been nice additions. My husband doesn't like bagels and...

I booked the Key Lime Inn strictly because of reviews on this site, and we weren't disappointed. I am surprised about some of the recent reviews. The Key Lime is in a great location and we didn't use our car for our stay. Our room actually looked better in person than on their website and the entire property is charming. The pool was excellent although I can understand that those with rooms very close to it might find it noisy in the morning. We found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The only real drawback,...

Disappointment
from A TripAdvisor Member
Despite its listing in several guide books the Key Lime Inn was a disappointment. We had a deluxe room by the pool. it was spacious with a king-size comfortable bed. However, the furnishings were spartan, only one bedside table and it smelt musty. In fact the sheets smelt of chlorine, obviously clean but not the sort of thing to send one to sleep! Breakfast was self-service by the pool with diposable plates and cups. The croissants were stale and the only fruit was some rather tasteless apples. For the price of $229 we expected a little...

Overpriced
from A TripAdvisor Member
My husband and I stayed here in January `05. Key Lime Inn has a good location within walking distance of Duval St. and I guess that is what you are paying for here. The rooms are quaint and clean, but beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom was tiny. Staff weren't overly welcoming and friendly either. We asked if they had internet access or guest laundry facilities, and were told bluntly `no', and they made no effort to direct us to any nearby services. We would stay elsewhere next time.
The best part of our vacation

After mulling over many traveler reviews, we decided to book the Key Lime Inn for our first trip to Key West. We're SO glad we did! We arrived New Year's Day by rental car to find The Key Lime even better than the pictures. Small pastel villas dot the property with hammocks here and there and a pretty, clean pool. I had requested a second floor room and what a score! Definitely go for Room 12 upstairs in the house original to the property in the mid 1800's. You have your own very private entrance. Our room was big, clean and so pretty,...

Attitude Readjustment...A Must
from hubsmorley2003
Dear Traveller, This is a tricky one. Why ? Well, because this place has a mountain of plus points to commend it. A good location, within walking distance of the town and the all the local hot spots. The physical lay out has much to commend it too with a wonderful pool and decking area sheltered from the road by a screen of thick, luscious vegetation. Local amenities are nearby and the general feeling is one of above average comfort and good hygiene. So far, so good, I am sure you would agree. Here's the rub. If you...

Over-priced and over-rated
from RuMorley
We stayed at Key Lime Inn for 14 nights in November 04 and that is the third, and final, time that I will stay at this hotel. We booked and paid in full for our room back in April 2004 and asked at that time if we could have a late check-out as we were flying back to the UK overnight and had a long flight ahead of us. At the time of booking the receptionist was incredibly unhelpful and we then asked to speak to the manager. He was very courteous and sorted out the booking and said that we could probably stay on in the room. I...

Pricey-But clean & Friendly
from beachlady5
My husband & I stayed here during the last week of October, at the height of "Fantasy Fest". All the local hotels were quite overpriced at that time & of course the Key Lime Inn was one of them. But, the staff was friendly, the room & pool area was clean. Walking distance to Duval St.- plus a great location for sight seeing. We'd love to go back to Key West, during a more quiet time, to really enjoy the shops & local attractions. Fantasy Festival is simply too overwhelming a time to go. Everything is overpriced & crowded. When we do go...
